yup, why darling?
sorry to butt in, you've interesting opinions about the hunger games, makes me see the whole story from the bad side that i was avoiding. while katniss may have been flat and selfish i found the books to be very entertaining. i didn't like the MC, yes, but i could i still enjoy reading the books because of the other characters and the setting. i enjoyed the first book the most, probably. i didn't find katniss too annoying in book 1, her objective and motivation were clear. also, the main idea, the games, was nice. i read the 3 books in 3 days too and the ending made me hate the whole development of what i thought would be a great storyline. it seemed rushed and i felt like katniss was completely gone. just out of it. i couldn't stand how she didn't show much care about peeta at all, specially in the third book. and the way collins wrote the part where katniss finally agrees to have kids annoyed me. like the character did not care much about that either.
finnick's death was pointless, like adding drama to break the reader's heart. oh writers love doing that to us. and ofc, annie was pregnant. cinna's death, i can understand that one, because he directly helped with the image of katniss.
there's another thing that bugged me, the way they voted with coin on repeating the 'games' or not. i hated that, but it showed how vengeful humans are and controversial too.
i want to hear your opinion on gale and peeta. gale, particularly. he wasn't relevant in the first book, but he was later on. i didn't like him, his attitude, his ideas, his offensive way of doing things. then peeta, such a nice guy. quite a philanthropist.
btw, i read divergent... what did you think?
