  1. This is probably really irrelevant now considering that IE NYC happened like three days ago and there's probably a lot of other IE fan accs, but I'll just put mine down because the post-concert depression is SO REAL and it's becoming just a big glittery blur in my head. I have a tendency to give commentary and overembellish because sometimes these babies are so funny I can't. Warning that I may still be fuzzy and (not grammatically correct that my eng prof would be ashamed) and may other concert peoples please correct me I sat in the mezz, 7th row (which I think is a good sign because ot7) so I may not be as accurate(?) as other people who got better seats/pit Facing the fact that while Infinite pumps out amazing concerts like clockwork, I really felt the vibe that most of the members were on autopilot, Myungsoo's body language showed that the most. He normally has his stoic L stare on, and normally doesn't talk a lot anyway, but a lot of his stares were almost, empty? It really really sucks being the last city on the Americas tour, because you can just feel the exhaustion, especially on a tuesday, especially when they just came back from a really hot country and coming back to a really cold country (20 degrees F that night) but honestly what can you do??? Poor guys, it wasn't until the second half of the show during Inft-F myung was into it. A lot of his fanservice stems from other members, if he did aegyo it was usually in the corner with another member (yes myung I caught that bbuingbuing with hyun) And during the end of F's stage Sungyeol prodded Myungsoo like "gogogogodoitbecute" and Myungsoo blew a kiss and said he loves us or something, and before the lights dimmed I caught Myung shoving yeol back in embarrassment and giving his wonderful little dimple smile Sungyeol went to the bottom of the stage to be at height for his fans! And then he got his fansite fan haha. Sungyeol man, he said something along the lines like "y'all gotta step up your game the crowd in South America was louder than you!" and man I was partly disappointed we couldn't be loud enough for them (yeol's dead-on stare was killing me even though he was probably partly joking) and there weren't a lot of lightsticks in the crowd, and 95% people were probably cold and coming straight from school During Inft-F's perf, Sungjong was practically pushed away by Yeol during one of the transitions LMAO he's like the older brother a kid never wanted. But Sungjong's all smiles and he's so so so freaking nice and he sounds so gentle and kind and really I'm proud that he took the time to memorize all those english phrases for us because yes yes I'm your darling such as you are mine. They did NOT perform "For You" which was a little disappointing, so the tone quickly went the other way for "nothing's over" I know they change the setlist per country and I know we really have no reason to have any special treatment but that I guess I can't complain if they're so tired or whatever reason may be DONGWOO STOLE THE SHOW. Geez that boy still manages to make up and be a ball of energy. He definitely elicited the most response out of all, from singing random english songs to his beautiful laugh. He spoke english the most out of everyone, even if we could barely understand it half the time. (was he the one who said to go to shakeshake/fiveguys and go get drink?) He sung with one of the dino plushies a fan threw (and it was basically rubbing at his crotch the entire song) and during one of the talks he was practically giving the wall a lapdance like this boy what even. he told us to come visit them in korea and made to leave the stage as if we'd follow him haha I wish! And then Dongwoo goes "beautiful faces... nice body" or something like that, and once he said "body" he started spazzing like crazy going "omgsorrysorrysorry" and Woohyun and him were laughing and body-gagging like dorks in the back being all wonderful and cute. My god. Woohyun's solo was everything I needed and more. I'm usually worried about America doing fan projects because it's really really really hard to succeed, for example the "dashi dora wa" during the pre-encore wasn't really happenin (we're not as assimilated as Korean fans are for obvious reasons) but I was really proud when the fan project with the Everyday banners worked out! Even if I couldn't see a direct response he was definitely touched. During the last talks we started chanting happy birthday to Woohyun and at first he was hella, hella confused. It was great. Of course Hoya's gotta come in and be like "Before the concert, I saw a sign that said "Happy birthday Hoya!" and at first I didn't understand why... because it's not my birthday. But now I understand, because now that I've seen you guys, I've been reborn again" (you little...) Typical Hoya LOL. and then he had the snark to ask "can you sing happy birthday to me too!?" and we actually did it as if we didn't know Myungsoo's birthday is before his and still it's in the middle of march. But then again, rather do it early than never! (also, scorpion dance be killin it, I almost can't believe I saw it considering half the tour he was out :() utterly thankful that Hoya recovered (seemingly) and that rehab worked out for him, and that he prepared such a speech in english) towards the end Dongwoo asked, "Are you okay, grandfather?" to the pit and I was assuming an older fan was in the pit for them and he was worried, so sweet! During final speeches Myungsoo's name was being chanted I believe in the beginning and end, (to which at one point in the beginning Myungsoo literally waved us off and said "okay okay okay that's enough lemme talk" haha) And in the end just before Sunggyu was about to make his leader speech people were still chanting Myungsoo's name, then Hoya butted in to join the bandwagon like "HEY Lee Howon, Lee Howon" and of course we did chanted his name because he asked. Suddenly Sunggyu was givin the leader-nim look and Hoya quickly backtracked "KIDDING JUST KIDDING" and nodded slightly to Gyu "sorry sorry" to his authority like LMAO how cute Sunggyu is a pro leader for real though. You can feel it. He's hospitable and charming and wonderful and works so hard even when the rest of the team is wobbling (which almost never happens anyway) he's all squishy smiles and I could just imagine him having so much fun watching Phantom on broadway. I cried in the end. Do I even need to say that they're better looking in person??? I'm just really really bittersweet that I don't know when's the next time I'll see them. Hoya I believe was the last to leave, so once he went I was literally out of it because military and comebacks and korean promotions all those sad things that don't involve nyc. Someone come brave it out with me in the pit next time (hoya promised they'd come back!), it seemed a lot calmer than OGS, by miles I was so emotionally distraught that I hung around a little bit. And then I ran into (one of) Infinite's manager! He was getting one of the cameras back I assume, and one of the fansites started talking to him. I was probably a real lame-o when I bowed and said goodnight really loudly to him, he must've thought I was so crazy! Hope you guys enjoyed my rambling, god I miss them so much already ( I mean I always miss them), time to love them from my laptop screen once more
  2. I'll be there! I have to literally run because my first day of classes start that day OTL
  3. They surprisingly have a lot of Korean shows! Myungsoo's drama is on there last time I checked (but I don't have netflix otl) It's not called Shut up Flower Boy Band, I believe it's Shut up and Let's Go.
  4. The hotel thing with Woohyun reminds me of that one time someone threw (a pen? or something) at Myungsoo while they were trying to get breakfast in a hotel or whatever. And then Myungsoo looks so freaking done and he stalks away all pissed off, that Sungyeol has to practically chase after him. And I really don't want to be reminded of that /shivers. I can't imagine going to such lengths for them. I love them dearly but I would never want to be remembered that way.
  5. Dude, I still can't believe I saw Myungsoo. I think it was just a hallucination from being drowned in sweat and trapped in body heat. I saw Yeol and Dongwoo's expressions seeing us struggle in the pit. It looked like Yeol couldn't believe it, his mouth was open in wonder and he was still. I felt awful. They can't do anything but say to please stop pushing. And Infinite shouldn't have to say that! You paid to see them, be respectful. There's a vid of one of the IEs in Europe and the members are telling them in broken English to stop pushing and back the hell away and everyone thought it was so cute. It's not! They were genuinely afraid! And the worst part is, they can't do anything about it. They must keep the show going, otherwise causing more panic and hysteria. Imagine how it felt to keep performing knowing a London fan broke a leg or something, they must've been on autopilot for some songs. It wasn't the first time for them to perform with a violent pit, but they traveled all the way to Europe and did a European leg, to reach out to their International fans and give them a good time. They don't want to see you get hurt, and they don't want you to have a terrible concert experience. And knowing Infinite, knowing their Inspirits got hurt at their concert, they would blame/take responsibility themselves for not protecting them even if it was purely the fans. It's called Hammerstein "Ballroom". Same with Infinite Effect in Paris, which was a classical music hall. Not to belittle those venues, but it isn't a place for a Korean concert. It was suffocating. And yes I would do the pit again and I'm fun-sized. Although my mom wants to come with me to Infinite Effect (she wants to understand my hype and she got into D-Day!). I just don't feel comfortable stalking (and NO ONE should stalk) and god knows how I'd fare if I saw them randomly in town. So the pit would probably be my only chance at getting close ups. I really don't imagine they'd be able to get Madison, honestly. That's where SMTown was. Maybe, maybe Prudential? I was in the pit for Big Bang Alive tour there, and I stood to the very front of the barrier and survived (granted the BB audience is way older and less inclined to push) but security was great and they minimized the number of fans in the pit was around 2-3hundred, and because the catwalk is huge there was a lot of room to space out. Also I WISH AMERICAN/EURO/WHATEVER NON-ASIAN ORGANIZERS WOULD STOP BELITTLING/UNDERESTIMATING K-FANS BECAUSE THEY NEED TO TAKE IT SERIOUSLY AND CONTROL THESE THINGS. I know every concert is like this, but still. These fans are young.
  6. OGS in NYC was terrifying. I was in the middle middle, and granted I'm only 5 feet tall. I saw a family there! Like mom and dad and kids and I was so shocked that they wanted to do that. Somehow I ended up all the way in the front-middle, floating. I was so pissed. I'm going to quote what I said in my Myungsoo thread: "I remember in OGS NYC, I was in the pit (bless my soul and the hundred other souls who survived this) and I got pushed to the front somehow. And I'm short around 154cm, I could not breathe. Someone threw water in my face so I could at least find some hydration other than the sweat surrounding me. Wings was playing. And I looked up somehow, and saw Myungsoo's flawless self on stage. (I did see Hoya/Yeol as well earlier, but that's another thing) My god, was he real? It's like an International fan spends his/her whole fandom life looking at a computer screen, and you weigh it nearly impossible to ever meet this guy, and bam. Needless to say, after that I got the hell out of that pit once I saw his face. Will never be my favorite concert unfortunately (Let's hope IE changes that) but the stunning visuals was somewhat worth it after that experience." But it doesn't change the fact a lot of people really got hurt. I know how much every one wants to see Infinite, and Infinite definitely wants to see every one of you if they had the chance. But you just can't. (In fact I think I'm going crazy because I want to take a chance in the pit again because my vision isn't the best.) And after OGS, I got out of Infinite for a good quarter of the year. I was too ashamed by the NY Inspirits attitude and it ruined my experience. I felt so much secondhand embarrassment I couldn't even listen to Infinite without feeling like shit.
  7. I would LOVE to know. Apparently subculture tried to get them but it was too hard. So probably next year. But Sunggyu did state in an interview that they are going to the states. (Let's go to IE Nyc togetherrrr)
  8. In regards to my friend not liking Dongwoo's dancing, I'd like to bring back this gem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZe9MUZjojY Like yes, Hoya killed it. But not in the same way Dongwoo did. I think of Hoya and Dongwoo as great dancers across two different sides of the spectrum. Hoya's like a well-oiled machine, and Dongwoo's like hydropower. Dongwoo needs more dance solos!! But that perf, omg. He melts his body and weaves it into the music. So wonderful. In regards to getting my friends into Infinite:
  9. I think the best aspect of Infinite's music is that they're not overtly "in your face". While there's nothing wrong with heavy catchy beats and the whole hip-hop vibe, Infinite's sound is just... ah refreshing. They don't try to reach out and give a song that's for the initial audience, they're very traditional and "Korean-pop" I suppose? Their music, it's so streamline, and electrifying. Shower is forever a masterpiece and if they promoted that song they'd take over the world. There's so much layering (as opposed to usual K-pop songs which have one line dictated solely to a member) from Woohyun pushing Myungsoo's note, to Sungjong leading the last bridge, and Hoya rapping with Sunggyu singing along. I'm so sad it isn't in the setlist for Infinite Effect.
  10. Also: I just had a random Myungsoo-thought (like I do all hours of the day) And I remembered this moment after their MIL win. And wondering "Why is my baby crying!?" And yes he's a sensitive sweetheart but usually he isn't so emotional on stage. And it really shocked me because everyone was so so happy, and he seems so overwhelmed and maybe it was tears of happiness but at the same time it worried me to no end. I know after this clip, they urge him to come and give them all the happy hugs, and at that moment I just wanted to give him juice and cuddles.
  11. Also really random. But this vine of Sungyeol forever scares me. At first I was all, "OMG what are you doing" and tried to imagine a k-pop idol crowd surfing and not dying. But having all those ladies grope at him, what a trooper. https://vine.co/v/e0wZwahTPUa
  12. So I had the strangest dream last night... sort of a 'what if'. "What if Infinite debuted in America?"
  13. I miss seeing Myungsoo in plaid ;_; I can't wait for Infinite Effect in my country. Anyone want to join my hamster ball in IE NYC?
  14. I have so many strong, frustrating feelings about this drama. OTL, (I was thinking about it ALL DAY after watching the first two episodes and a bout of anger coming from my younger brother who was watching it with me). So if you may like, you can click for my long-winded, half livid and exasperated, English-student analysis of Sassy Go Go:
  15. And for everyone that had a sour time at IE Paris, I'm really sorry. It really sucks when other Inspirits get selfish and ruin the fun for everyone. I hope you guys are okay! Did you think the boys noticed?
  16. I remember in OGS NYC, I was in the pit (bless my soul and the hundred other souls who survived this) and I got pushed to the front somehow. And I'm short around 5'1-154cm, I could not breathe. Someone threw water in my face so I could at least find some hydration other than the sweat surrounding me. Wings was playing. And I looked up somehow, and saw Myungsoo's flawless self on stage. (I did see Hoya/Yeol as well earlier, but that's another thing) My god, was he real? 17. Hi guys, I'm a new user one OneHallyu. And I'm a huge Inspirit and I'm really happy to join this thread! AND YES, the Warsaw concert looked amazing! The pearl metal gold ocean was beautiful even if not many fans could get their hands on official yeobongs. I bet you guys had so much fun, and I'm happy you guys and Infinite had a great time! Everything seemed so nice and organized, even the way you guys were singing the songs and replying to the members. I can't wait to hear fanaccs and how your experiences were! Also, this gem: https://twitter.com/HoyaSpirit_/status/650806530028253184
  18. Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum (after spending hours and hours reading this thread, I caved and registered). Also, the whole "hide/show/reply/quote" thing is confusing me because I don't want to kill you all with a block of text. But I just wanna tell everyone a little *maybe lotta because I ended up writing a lot* bit about myself, learn about you beautiful Myungsoo-stans, how I fell in love with Myungsoo, and hopefully make time to be as active as possible! BUT, WHY am I Myungsoo-biased?
