Since we weren't really ranting about anything there, I'll post here instead. What do you identify as? British?

I'm studying law. I somewhat strongly disliked it at first. I think the new environment of self-managed study without teacher instruction or them pestering you and the type of work involved in the legal education was quite intimidating. I've settled in better now though. I can appreciate the legal principles and whatnot.

I actually wanted to go into Med, Software Engineering, Physics academia or IT. But Med easily was struck out since it takes a long time and I didn't meet the initial entry requirements. There was the science to med pathway, but I doubt I would be able to endure it. As for Software Engineering, I topped IPT in school for two years and I would say I'm pretty good at understanding the coding and theory behind it.

For Physics, I guess it interested me and I had no idea what else to pick - so it was a consideration, although one that in the end was struck out. IT was just a backup course in the possible event that my results weren't high enough for my other choices. But, in the very end, I chose Law because I was uncertain, because it's the de-facto Arts degree (at least in Australia) these days, and because it would be useful anyway.
