  1. It's funny cause now the guys voice is throwing me off and I don't mind her voice as much as I did before. New song
  2. Eh different people, different perspectives. Though auto tune has definitely become an unfortunate staple in his music. Everyone in their little group keeps trying different things which definitely is interesting to watch. May not produce the best results, but it's still nice to see them try.
  3. I could see that in songs like "Drunk" and "PROUD," but everything else was pretty standard Shota and felt reminiscent of "NATURALLY" and "Umbrella." I prefer when he uses his lower register which is used a lot this time around so that definitely contributes to my impression of the album. I usually have low expectations when it comes to his albums though. There usually are a few standouts and everything else just blends together. He's been hanging out with Thelma too much. "Pop pop I'm a fashion killer"
  4. Shota's album exceeded my expectation. Though there was a little too much auto tune at times. Still havent been able to get into Daichi. You have to be a really big people person to work in sales. Then some sales jobs don't offer a base pay and are purely commission which isn't great. If you sell a lot, then it might feel rewarding to you, but honestly, from my perspective, it's not that rewarding in the long run. Plus your income won't always be the same if you don't sell enough which could add unnecessary stress. And if you do perform well, your hard work most likely will go unnoticed from higher ups or they'll just expect a lot out of you with little return on your end.
  5. Inspirational Author, Sports Writer, and Teacher Born Without Arms and Legs Confesses To Affairs With 5 Women Translated by Owatari @ www.onehallyu.com Many believed that Mr. Hirotada Ototake (39), a sports writer who played an active role in writing the memoir “Gotai Fumanzoku," lived a happy life with his 3 deeply loved children and that he was a devoted husband, however his life was muddy and filled with immorality. While saying he was “inspecting the terrorism in France,†he’d travel with a beautiful woman on love trips to Paris and Tunisia. He confessed that he had an affair with 5 women. It appears that his wife knows about his infidelity and has cried and grieved. It’s being further alleged that he carried on his multiple relationships for years even having his affairs around the time his son was born. Mr. Ototake was born without arms or legs due to a genetic disorder called tetra-amelia syndrome. Within a year of it's release in 1998, his book which ironically translates to "No One is Perfect" became the 3rd best selling book since World War II. Since news of the affair broke, many have flooded the book with negative reviews. He even stared in a 2013 film based on his life after he became a teacher in 2007. Mr. Ototake was being considered by the Liberal Democratic Party as a candidate to run for the 2016 upper house elections. 3 This guy is the worst, cheating on a wife who takes care of you Even if he was reborn, he’d be born disfigured. 4 *One body, Five satisfaction 7 I guess he wanted to do regular things… 57.>>7 Common people are not immoral 9 Despite not having arms and legs, women still wanted him I wonder when it comes to you guys… 117 >>9 He’s probably good at changing an obstacle into sympathy 10. What the hell. You get the feeling that you can’t laugh at this lol 16 As expected Eriko Imai is great at choosing character in the Liberal Democratic Party 18. A man with a bad feeling… 41. Wow Becky seems small in comparison 54. This so called man and woman relationship is probably unreasonable, but proudly acknowledging immorality… -- * A pun on the title of his book I've actually read the book in Japanese so this is a bit of a surprise.
  6. I feel you. I just started a new job not too long ago that pays way more than my last job, but it still doesn't feel like enough. Definitely not as much as my degree was worth.
  7. You're welcome. Tell me about it. Having to budget, making my own doctor/dentist appointments, paying bills, and working is so exhausting. I miss the days when someone else was in charge of what I did.
  8. It's actually from: http://famouslyaddicted.tumblr.com/
  9. I was pleasantly surprised to see that he worked with Toshinobu and even more to see that Toshinobu featured on his album( even if it was mostly backing vocals). Of course I can! I'll link you both Nakashima Ko's "RAFT" and Mori Daisuke's "Music Diner."
  10. In other news, why are so many people lying about their credentials? http://aramajapan.com/news/the-scandal-surrounding-sean-kawakami/56665/
  11. Alright. Check your PM. He's a singer-songwriter that has actually written for quite a few acts. Toshinobu, SMAP, Arashi, etc. "Music Diner," not dancer, is a pretty goof mixture of R&B and City Pop. I posted his PV above, but the song below is very Toshinobu.
  12. I got that too and really like the funk and city pop going on there. I can send the link for his first mini your way too if you want. Currently listening to Mori Daisuke's "Music Dancer" and dude has talent. Very Toshinobu Kubota at times, which isn't too surprising since he has worked with him.
  13. The artwork for his second mini due in April really caught my eye and the first was only $10 and sounded good so.. why not? I'm going to try my hardest to hold out on "BLACKBERRY JAM," but the previews were really good so we'll see how long that will last. I'm still waiting for that too. Hopefully it pops up somewhere soon.
  14. I'll be sending a PM your way shortly. I just bought the album off of Ototoy. Almost bought "BLACKBERRY JAM" too, but I'll give that one more time to leak.
  15. They're not really on my radar so I don't talk about them outside of any translations, but it definitely feels taboo to say anything negative about them.
  16. I'm always late when it comes to finding music.
  17. Ironically, I actually debated on posting this here because of the Sandaime comments.

  19. BUMP OF CHICKEN "Butterflies" Interview Part 2 Translated by Owatari @ www.onehallyu.com Interviewer: The song “Butterfly†appears to have an electronic tone to it huh? Masukawa: This song is a song that gives elation throughout, but to me it’s a song where you can feel a great band feeling. If the groove lags even a little, the mood of the song will be completely lost and there’s difficulty to that. Naoi: “Butterfly†does have a main rhythm ramming down and various parts that swing. Therefore, if we don’t meet the rhythm, then things won’t fit in. That’s why this time I practiced the groove, studied pop from the 1990s, and listened to a lot of older music. When arranging “Butterfly,†did you have an image in mind? Motoo: No, I never had an image in mind. When I first made the demos alone, every song was my singing accompanying the acoustic guitar. But up to that, I think I would say “I made a song.†Contrary to my way of speaking, if the arrangement isn’t firm, the melody is tentative, and the lyrics are lalala, I can’t say “I made a song.†That’s why, when I’m creating a song, I only think of completing the melody and the lyrics. Interviewer: Although it has phases of EDM-like synths, “Butterfly†has this freshness to it when I think it’s sound with a mysterious depth to it. Motoo: Consequently, though I came to choose the so called EDM-like sound, I didn’t want to insert such a sound. In any case, I inserted these phases, and it is said that the what has been chosen was effective. Naomi: That’s why, to us, this time it has the feeling of being made in a band equally. We didn’t have the sense at all that we would create EDM. Moto: It just turned that way when I chose the appropriate sound for the music. Interviewer: There’s a strong feeling of solitude when it comes to the melody and lyrics huh. But with the arrangement added, it gives off elation. That kind of dynamism makes the song become more attractive. It’s something like that right? Motoo: I really think it’s in that neighborhood. Though they weren’t conscious, I think we had similar comparisons. Interviewer: This album had the six new songs “GO†“Butterflyâ€â€Ryuuseigun†“Houseki ni natta hi†“Daigaman Taikai†and “Kodoku no Gasshou.†What were everyone's opinions of the demos from Fujiwara-san? Masukawa: Although I say this every time, after all, I’m very impressed and very thankful. Particularly, the song, Naoi mentioned that we made late that night at 3:00 am “Houseki ni natta.†Though my mental state might of been a little high at the time, that is something that was impressive and I deeply remember it. Masu: Regarding this album, there were many times where I saw the arrangements well through the stages we received the demo tapes. Though I was made aware of the power added by the band sound. For me, inserting my part, I wondered how to play the drums. Though this felt like a common theme for the album and not just these 6 songs. Naoi: When I first heard “GO,†I thought, “this will probably become the album’s lead.†Because it was already a great song. Then, next I heard “Butterfly†and I thought, “this will probably become the album’s lead.†(laughs) Interviewer: Ahaha. I see. Naoi: Though I thought this when I listened to “Houseki ni natta hi†for me, everything was shining equally, and amidst that, “Butterfly†is a shining image of that. Despite the foundation of the melody and words being dark, you can still see those things shining. I wonder if songs like “ray†and “Niji wo Matsu Hito†sound like our songs. Nice things, sad things, life, and death all exist equally. Our songs too, continued to be mixed like that. I think it’s like that.
  20. The last 3 years of my life have been a lie. Though the more I think about it the more it makes since that you are female. Plus your title does say "Llama Queen" so shame on me for just noticing that. I received my Ken DVD and Do As Live CDs today. I love the photo books that came with both.
  21. And all this time I thought Wiz was male. Yeah, I think we talked about this before, but I think that's a pretty normal feeling to have. It's like having concrete evidence of what you were like when you were younger.
  22. Lucky! I joined my first forum when I was 13/14 and even though I'm still young(22), I've definitely changed a lot. The fact that I hardly capitalized my sentences really bothers me now. Tomiko Van. She tweeted about the event in 2012 then deleted the tweets, but the forum still had them. Apparently she was in some situation where her taxi driver was about to kidnap her, but luckily her hairdresser was able to save her. As a result she no longer takes taxis. LOL I don't think I have ever been banned from a forum, but I do remember telling someone I hated them. Some things are definitely cringe inducing, but I like seeing how much I've changed.
  23. I like reading old forum post and seeing how the landscape of things have changed. Plus there's always interesting tidbits of information that you miss, like your favorite singer nearly being kidnapped 4 years ago. Though the immaturity of your old post can be hard to swallow. I just read a few of my first posts on the internet from 2007 and...
  24. "One Day" is nice. Thelma is definitely bringing her A-game with her last 3 releases. Quite a few spring releases to look forward to.
