My thighs used to be like that too when I did a lot of sports, so must just be low body fat, but.....What she is missing is more muscle if she does work out a lot, but I think that was brought up earlier with the carboxy shots convo

I don't keep up with SNSD at all anymore aside from Jessica, sometimes Yuri (and slightly Tiffany) and so whenever I see the members it's not often at all

And this is my first time seeing Yoona in a while and I agree to what others have said, they're all ageing badly

Probably did too much in their early 20s with no way of telling how it's gonna look later on, and now we're seeing the results of old surgery after a while mixed with new surgery attempts at keeping them young and it's all just sort of...not going well...

And yeah Tiffany looks way older now too, whatever she did is a shame bc I used to find her to be the prettiest member along with Yuri by a long shot

are we currently seeing the long awaited ramifications of the filler trend?

 

bc lots and lots of idols lately... yikes. bloated doesn't even begin to cover it. anyone else who's noticed? or are they just all going overboard or are we just approaching another generational shift? thoughts? 

OMG yes, I've noticed it too. People are either not reacting well to fillers or they think this bloated nonsense looks good because so many people are starting to follow the trend and I'm just speechless because it's really not something that's flattering when it's so overdone.

But yeah I think we are starting to/will begin to see long term effects of idols, like the user who said Yoona's features are starting to look too big for her chin? First thing I thought was because she got a jaw shave super early on in her teens, and I heard the rest of your features/head still grows slightly as you get older? Idk I could be totally wrong

I think in regards to all their popularity in Korea, I think they should shift away from an 'idol' image and more to an 'artist' image like what they have in Japan

In Japan it seems pretty straightforward- they release a few songs a year, have a huge fandom and the public like them, sell out concerts

But with Korea it's been a 4 year hiatus, other boy groups have come onto the scene & got big since then (heck I've been a fan for 3 years and this is my first comeback with them excluding Rise as God), their older fans may have moved on with their lives, and younger fans could've moved to a younger more active group. With this, it's a lot harder to contend as an 'idol' group, but as artists they can just continue to put out good music and be loved by all without worrying about keeping up with trends, sns, youtube views, etc...

This comeback to me has felt very much like 'trying to keep up' rather than just coming back for their fans and for the good music

With Namjoo, it looks like they just removed the tip of her nose bc it looks like the end of her nose is missing? It's a real shame bc I always really liked her looks in the group but now her face just seems off

And is her nose the only thing she's got done? Or is it just the most noticeable that it's making us overlook the other thing? Bc she's totally unrecognisable to me and apparently some others, which I think shouldn't be the case if it was only her nose that got done?

I really hope/wish there are excellent surgeons out there that can correct these things

yesterday, I found out that N.Tic's Jion (who is almost 31 now) used to be a famous ulzzang in Korea, back in the day

and I mean back in the day, cause he was already known for resembling Jaejoong in 2010, so he got pretty internet famous even before then

 

 

 

in these old photos of him, we can see his jaw before the jaw shave/implant he'd gotten later on

he was supposed to debut in a group back in 2010, already debuted in one in 2009, and he did debut a few times later too, but all of his groups ended up disbanding and not hitting it big

 

this gif is from one of his early performances with one of his groups where you can see he was already experimenting with makeup and got possible aegyosal surgery/fillers/what not

 

 

 

I have a real soft spot for this guy, he wanted to debut and be a singer more than anything, and it didn't work out for him at first, but he never gave up and kept going, regardless of the comments about his appearance. I believe that the thing that happened to him and influenced his face dynamic the most was his jaw shave, which needs a lot of upkeep and maintenance, like mentioned in this thread, and it changed with time

I think he looked quite good in it, but then he went through a doll-like makeover before debuting, which I think his company emphasizes on to garner attention for their group, you know what they say in that world, any PR is good PR

I wonder what went down from then up until now and what work he had done and what work did he have to get in order to do upkeep

 

What upsets me the most is he was a freaking Jaejoong lookalike and something got in his head that he needed to change that Jaejoong was one of the top visuals back then - if not top - so it's a shame that a lookalike felt so unhappy with his looks

They might have loads more fans through what they're doing now but I 1000% preferred BTS before the Wings album. I used to have all their albums on shuffle whilst tidying up, doing chores, hw, anything, and rarely skip a song. I got into them in September 2014 and they quickly became one of my favourite groups.

Save Me was the last release that I properly liked. Not Today was good too but I got bored of it pretty quickly. I got excited when Mic Drop came out because it was lit like it was a Baepsae part II but they ruined it with the remix.

I'm not saying their newer songs aren't really good cos they are, but they're a completely different BTS than what they were before. I know everybody changes with time but they've pretty much changed their entire identity and I miss the old them.

This is totally an unpopular opinion since everybody loves them now, and I know many users will want to argue against what I've said, but I have friends who got into them before me and feel the same way as me so at least I know I'm not the only one.

i'm confused with the voguing thing because what kind of music would that go with? i keep on thinking about early 90s house?

 

the thing that's bothering me the most is that i have no idea whether they're still gonna go with the playful/fun tense jazz theme or they're gonna go back to the more intense/serious electronic sound. i'm okay either way but i think they had something really special with tense and rise as god and i'd love to see them continue that...

So for the comeback they're gonna be on music shows etc and I know it doesnt really matter in the grand scheme of things but I really want them to win and not lose to a newer group, they've been gone for 4 years and are legends so they deserve it

So how can I/everyone vote, what helps towards points etc. We don't really have streaming power since most of the fandom are older now but there must be a way

In short will there be a list/masterpost of how to vote etc to help them win on music shows? Or is this almost futile since younger fandoms stream like theres no tomorrow

The thing with Tiffany is that her changes were really subtle and over time so you'd have to be closely following her or have a really good eye to notice the changes

Even ages ago I would look at pictures of Tiffany and know something was off. Back in the earlier days like Genie era I used to just sit there like 'shes soooooooooooooo pretty ' but that feeling went after a point and only from coming on here ages ago when she was discussed did I realise it was because of minor surgeries

Yeah, it sounds accurate. Especially with huge surgeries like nose and jaw surgeries. Botox especially is pretty freaking bad as it requires one to constantly get it to maintain that “look†but your face will basically collapse just like lips. I think that’s why eyelid surgery is considered so basic. I personally would like eyelid surgery for more even eyes and that still scares the shit out of me. I can’t imagine a jaw surgery or whatnot.

For less nose surgeries is it possible for them to just leave it once it's done and it's fine for life? I understand the rest of your face screwing up but I don't really get why the nose would change

Uhh for me with the top 3 guys I like (Yunho Donghae Jin) are all natural and are gorgeous and so I'd be very upset if they started touching up their faces now. idk it's like I can almost sense when a guy has got something done cos I just won't be attracted to them in the same way...it's coincidence my fave 3 all haven't.

But for even the ones that have, and this applies to girls too, like one maybe two small procedures are fine if they leave it at that, but I start to mind if they look totally unlike how they used to
