  1. on dc gall (korean forum), someone brought up a good point that i wanted to share. since the concert is on 10/3, does that mean they are only performing songs from the 1st half of the mini album and not the full album (which is tentatively scheduled for 11/2)?

yes, there are some article said that they'll perform songs from 1st half album and Mix&Match

  2. YG has invested a lot in them.

Seriously I don't really see what YG had invested them. You mean two crappy teasers?

The pre-release is very important especially for a rookie group to keep people interest. So far YG has done a horrible job for them with almost nonexisting teasers and shitty media play.

Lol now he doesn't even let them promote on music shows. How can a debut song do well on charts if it isn't even promoted.

  3. It's actually good if the first song gets liked by the public. If the first song is bad then we're in trouble for the rest of the promotion cycle.

But despite the poor calendar, we've always trusted YG for the quality of the music so I'm thrilled knowing this is how he plans to promote iKON.

exactly it can be either a hit or a miss. I'm praying that it'll be a public friendly song, but judging from its snippet, it doesnt seem like one. I could be wrong tho.

Most of YG's pre-release singles are public friendly, like Big Bang's Blue, GD's That XX, Lee Hi's 1234...

  4. Except he barely has.

Double B projects have more upsides than pushing Bi aside and only promoting Bobby.

They are the GDYB successors. I can see YG advertising their friendship and strong duo talent to the forefront and implanting the idea in the public eyes that iKON is immensely talented because those two are.

So I wonder as to why YG hasnt tapped into that Double B package for media purposes as much as he could by setting up plans for the both of them.

    YG will when times come.

Bobby is currently the hot item since he won SMTM3. Everyone wants a bit of Bobby now so obviously YG will try to push him more, like Bobby coming to Nona9on party as a SMTM winner, not as iKon's Bobby. Also Hanbin was underage for that party.

Hanbin's dad scandal doesn't help either so unfortunately he will stay low for a while.

When iKON debuts with an album produced by B.I, trust me YG will media play it to the roof.

  5. I think they based this on win where yun and dong has meh voice. Well, for one(kinda unrelated), Jinwoo is no dead weight. He is the visual. I prefer namtae but objectively, he is the prettiest. You can also actually differentiate who is who in a winner song. Jinwoo may be weak technically but his vocal color is nice to hear. Or maybe it's just me because I don't prefer the small kinda whiny voices like Jinhwan or Donghyuk.

Different people different taste I guess.

Like for me I can tolerate Jinhwan's chipmunkies, but namtae's dying cat voice is so painful to stand.

Voice is a different topic, but refer to your previous post, if we talk about technique, Dong Hyuk is way more stable than jinwoo.

  6. I bet inner circles can help. I'm an inner circle myself and I have seen how they (some of them) bashed team b (sans Junhoe) for their vocals so I guess they can help vote for the most vocally talented ones.

I'm just afraid this might backfire because some incles are really afraid that ikon will surpass winner in popularity. Hence, they'll vote for the weaker vocals (esp. Chanwoo). This will give them a chance to bash ikon even more :(

I don't have anything to say for vips and blackjacks. I am a blackjack and they are really lazy :(

Lol sorry for butting in but winner fans bashed iKon's vocal? Sorry but besides KSY, namtae is on par with Jinhwan while Jinwoo is worse than Dong Hyuk, vocal wise

  7. YAASSSSSSSSSSS

Hanbin is one of the two composers for Born Hater

This year alone, B.I has like 4 songs that he co-composed/composed charting: Empty, Be.I, Wait for Me (flopped but still) & Born Hater.

Richest trainee of Kpop hands down ~
