This... Is... EXACTLY WHY MORE SCREEN TIME NEED TO BE DEDICATED TO UPCOMING GIRLS! I lost count of how many "I just started and my Oshi graduated so I'm no longer interested in AKB" post I've read... There are simply so many more interesting girls out there While you're at it, check out those 3 girls http://www.bilibili.com/video/av3704503/ (If you find the text annoying, simply look at the speech bubble near the progress bar, and click it to remove them) Okada Nana the lead singer. Fujita Nana with the long hair, black costume. (She also have a solo call migiashi evidence) Murayama Yuiri in twin tail, white costume, the theater goddess of AKB48. While I don't care too much for MV (I care about MV for reason not because of MV, but because I'm a big advocate for new-gen push) but I'm a sucker for unit performance in 48G. To add to that, many great songs don't have MV. Such as Shounichi, Temodemo no Namida, Omoide Ijou etc etc etc.

I want Kappa though. Give those awkward kid a chance, I mean, look at Sakura, that strange HKT kid turned out well right?

Non-senbatsu AKB member are still related to 48G, and sister groups member are candidate for AKB48 single, so they're related too. (e.g. Sashihara, Jurina and Hana are not even kennin, and they're in) Similarly, Nogi and Keyaki are also very related to 48G, as AKB48 often times allow them to take over their own show, AKB48 show to promote their new singles. Not to mention the collaborations and singing each other's songs in performances. I'm not sure what your criteria is for "related to 48G", but the way I see it, is business relation. SNH48 is completely unrelated to 48G in stance as of this stage. They have declared independence and broke off from 48G, in other word, they're not even a sister group anymore. Which is why I brought up whether this is the right place to discuss SNH48. As SNH48 is entirely unrelated to AKB48 at this stage.
-
The only difference is, JKT and AKS are still closely connected to AKB unlike SNH. Technically, JKT and AKS news are not "random" if compared. EDIT: Seriously, who is the bastard that keep negging me? If you disagree with me, we can have a discussion over this. If you want to neg me, the least you could do is tell me why
-
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that as of this stage, they're not part of 48G anymore but an independent group with 48 in it's name. Which to me, makes the whole posting about SNH here feel like someone posting about Apink in SNSD thread. EDIT: Why the neg? Am I not telling the truth?
-
Nogi is different, they still have constant activities with one another Heck, AKB48 Show turn into Nogizaka46 show from time to time. With SNH48, the tie is more or less completely cut in half. It just feels SNH post shouldn't be here anymore.
-
I thought this is a topic for AKB48 and it's sub-group? Should SNH and it's sister still be discussed here? Should the post regarding SNH and co be in C-Pop section instead seeing that they're already disowned and become independent?
-
It's definitely strange to not have Nako/Miku for an anime song. I would think those 2 fit right in. Can't wait for the 2 to double center one day. That aside... YESH ARAMAKI!

Hmmm AKB went to Philippines, and Phillipines get MNL48 AKB went to Bangkok and BNK48 HKT went to Taiwan and TPE48 ... Could this be some market research for SEO48? Then again, maybe they're just there to shoot a commercial for a Japanese Samsung ad or something

Doraemon Youkai Watch Crayon Shin-Chan Anpan-Man Pokemon Gundam franchise One-Piece Naruto Bleach Detective Conan The above list, are by far the most popular anime ever created and are still running today with hundreds even thousands of episodes Which one is the pedophile bait? I don't see it. Oh wait, you're talking about "mid-night/early-morning" anime. Yeah... I sometimes turn on TV at mid-night and see nipples, dammit are all movies made for perverts?

The conversation went "What is this?" "You know, put sand in it and train your biceps" "I wonder where I should sign it" According to the person who got his fleshlight signed. Chinese webs are filled with comments along the line of "Naanya is either too young, or simply too pure". In her defense though, I couldn't tell what it was when I first saw the picture as well, it actually look ridiculously similar to a deformed white dumbbell.

Does Kobuta still got anything to do with AKS at all? I thought he already left a while a go. This turn of event, if continues, imo will benefit SNH more in the long run. I don't think losing access to Aki-P's music will hurt them too much at this stage.

Paruru clone? Ponkotsu? Ryouha? Really bro? She's physically fit, works very hard, clingy, self-concious and humble... reasonably cute, not drop dead gorgeous. Does all the above remind you of Paruru? If you wanna drag her... The least you could do is google... like come on...
-
She's kinda a bit too try hard like Komiharu's early days. Komi is more likable after she calmed down a bit/when she's start to slow down because she realizes she's being interpret as "haraguro". In general, it's usually better for those that're already slightly popular to be more like themselves, so the fans will also feel closer to them. That said, I can't wait for the day for Miki to calm down a bit, she can still dance hard, but dancing like a lunatic deliberately is... Not neccessary. She's not that bad of a looker, relatively good variety sense as documented and she's also a pretty nice performer when she's not going crazy. I'm not claiming to be the expert here, but I really do feel that some of those girls are going too far with trying to appeal, balance is the key. Back to Rika, I found her the most appealing when she was back stage in episode one of Sashikita, the way she reacted to the ikemen staff. She already got that fishing trait with her, she's don't have to go completely crazy. Her own natural level is enough

I like ambitious kids I mean, Sakura said she want to be a rival to sashi... Next year, boom, Kami-7 The she talk about "Make way for me" quoting her own character in Majisuka. She is hungry, and she takes action, make impactful comments one after another, strong social media skill. Jurina is also hungry, but even she wasn't bold enough to make half the comments Sakura have said, out of respect, out of fear, I don't know. Which is also why, I LOVED the fact that Ryouha, Okada made strong statements leading up to this SSK. I freaking love it when Paruru cried on the stage and vow to try harder... Though she kinda went quiet for the most part, partly due to health reasons.

Fans seldom support pushed members. Okappa is not the first, and she will not be the last. Did people not learn a shit from Mitsumune Kaoru? And calm down people... 315 was just a AKB B-side, not a NGT A-side. Regardless, my honest opinion... Keep Okappa in center if she can take the criticism, play another game of management vs fan Management's Maeda vs Fan's Oshima. Management's Watanabe vs Fan's Sashihara Management's Jurina vs Fan's Rena Okappa is only 14 years old, she is also awkward even by 48G's standards. That said, it's not that bad of an idea to test her possibilities. Think about things on a marketing standpoint, her existence itself is already unique and marketable, her being the center will create discussion, she don't even need to be hugely talented. Katomina on the other hard... She's been showing off her baton and flip skill so much I got sick of them before the first MV was even announced. Keep her off the spot light til she develop another selling point, because flips gets boring very fast. Unless she's Yuko's level of stage presence, I don't want her in the center spot over showcasing her flips. Katomina not getting this center spot will only fuel her hunger. She'll also grow from this. Similarly, members that witness this spectacle will also realize being a "capable" idol alone is not enough to center a 48G single, you actually need that extra "something". Basically... If I'm part of the management, I would've let her center 315-go. The only other viable option for 315, to me, is Mahoho. Just play the pretty card to draw.

Regarding Kojimako's Taiwan statement. Thankfully, only a small press is making a big deal out of it. Most people didn't take offense to what she did, some even blame their own label of "Chinese Taipei" in a lot of their recent events which could potentially lead to people thinking Taiwan is part of China. Overall, they think it's important for a successful public figure (LMFAO!) to be more educated in sensitive subjects. Kojimako also briefly apologized on her 755.

And guess what? Hori happened to be my favorite Nogizaka. Which makes it worse! Not only AKB management is holding my Team 4 back Even Nogizaka is holding Hori back.

There's no such thing as X or Y deserve better, it's just their ability or lack-there-of to sell the singles. That's the only objective measure. Whether someone deserve something or not, in general is just subjective opinions. I can go on and on about Green Flash deserve better, but when the demand is not there, it's just my own subjective opinion.

Well you know? Management kinda waste the last ... year? putting the focus on Takamina and the graduates? They could've used that time to really promote or experiment with new-gen and come up with a great SSK single. Amazing how much time they manage to waste, now they suddenly put Mion there and they're out of ideas because "What are we suppose to do with this girl?" "If only we had more time to experiment with her as center... Oh wait!" It's not that they don't have time, they're next level stupid. Yes, they had between Halloween Night til now to really focus on next-gen, but no, Takamina and departed members are far more important than AKB's future. The momentum between Young Member concert > Green Flash > BwT completely wasted. The young unit Tentoumu Chu and Dendenmu Chu, wasted Konya wa Otomari was amazing, didn't extend it. The day KwM's senbatsu was announce, I knew this SSK is going to be horrible and it'll make a platform not for "Who might be the new Kami-7" to "Who might make senbatsu, cuz we already know who Kami-7 is" Nogizaka46! Take note! THIS IS HOW YOU DESTROY A GROUP! DON'T REPEAT IT!

At the very least we're looking at 48G expansion into China, collaboration with Kukumusic is well underway. I do not get the whole "48G should take note from Nogi" part for 3 reasons. 1. Nogi is trying to hit their peak with their original members. (They're at the stage where AKB is trying to get to Tokyo Dome with Acchan and Yuko) 2. Nogi is not in a transitional period where they're trying to revive interest. Getting to the top is far easier to staying on top, especially if the members are being replace by new members where people went "Who?" 3. 48 groups, unlike the 46's, are theater groups, their purpose is to boost economy of certain region and generation income for tourism and such. Which businesses or even governments of their region in return for provide support for them, getting huge fame is simply the ideal outcome. Please note that ***The creation of each 48G, outside of AKB48, is usually the result of businessmen and regional government lobbying for a group from AKS, this also includes international sister group like JKT and SNH**** The two groups are not only in completely different stages of their group's career, they're also fundamentally different. AKB is the monmusu, and Nogi is the new AKB, except the concept reverse. It used to be fresh theater chasing the established traditional, now is fresh traditional chasing the established theater Aki-P initially envision an ideal 48G to one day have a group in each region of Japan, kinda like Soccer team, or like the NBA. Something that'll always be around. In my personal opinion, that is not just amazing, but something unheard of in Music Industry. Legendary does not even begin to describe this. *And they're well on their way to achieve this, they just need to figure out how to revive interest, and I like to believe they'll make more progress this year than the last* I'm not saying 48>46. I do prefer 46's A-side single compare to 48's, and feel they should step it up a bit. I also agree that 48 need to stop grave digging and start to really put attention on next gen members heavily, if next-gen are not getting the spot light and resources, there will be no next gen takeover. Let alone creating an idol NBA. On another note. Sony should really pay attention to 48 right now, take note of 48's transition for the next year or two, analyzes what works, what doesn't, and what to avoid or prepare for. Because in a few years time... Nogi will run into the exact same problem. Management, and everyone involved (this including the fans) need to see the picture in a broader sense. A lot of comments, be it here or other forums, are so focus on "how to find immediate success" it's shallow.

Why wouldn't they change if they can get Kuku-music as partner? They're like the itunes of China. + They offer not only online+offline, they also offer many others like TV, Streaming services, video games, etc etc. It's a dream like partnership for AKS.
