As I remembered, the best charting song released after UR is Kisum's White Style. (But ridiculously that song is just a CF song for pads lol), I think it reached top 3 or even #1 on Melon. Followed by Cheetah's My number, highest position around #13, and stay at top 30 for quite some time. Kisum's You & me is doing okay, Jessi's songs are also okay. And Jimin's song is just.. disappointing. But given the fact that the guy Jimin's with is a nugu, it's acceptable. And I think Jimin's tone in GOD is a bit too high Speaking of this... where is Tymee's new album?

Yes its really hard to translate rap lyrics according to Risa and Diamond said. They took double time to translate rap lyrics compared to the dialogues. I agree that most of the time there is some meaning lost or distorted between the original lyrics and the translated one. So I don't fully judge a rapper's lyrics base on translation. (Tho I agree Truedy really needs to improve her lyrics) There is another solution for subbing the remaining eps other than a paid subs is translating from Mandarin subs. Tho I'm fluent in Mandarin I'm not going to do so as I'm lazy and I still have hope on someone fluent in Korean will take over it. Actually I'm the only who is non-native while Risa is a Gyopo (Korean born in other countries). I never asked but I believed Diamond is native or a Gyopo too.

I'm sad to announce that our team will not continue the subbing after EP5. Our translators Risa stole my heart and Diamond are really busy these days and I'm kind of getting lazier lol. I will still watch UR2 and share my thoughts in here or twitter tho. I hope you guys enjoyed our subs and thanks a lot for your support. And I really do hope some kind soul will take over the remaining EPs. I don't prefer paid subs but if that's the only solution I won't object it.

A bit OT but I think we can discuss this over here. As you all know, we (me, Risa Stole My Heart and Diamond) have been subbing the first three ep of UR2. However, since they are getting busier, translations does not come out on time (tbh I still did not receive all the trans by now). As one user in this thread suggested using a paid subber/ translator and Ohuzr ask my pov on this, I think we can discuss this in here for the future of UR2 Eng subs. (Sorry I'm lazy to trace back who is that user) These has been mentioned in my pm with Ohuzr This question was discussed previously in Army Of Angels, another subbing team I joined. ( It's an AOA subbing team btw lol. Plz support us XD) Back to the topic: My point of view is that everything becomes complicated when it comes to money. Many questions have been raised. 1. How can we transfer the money? After all we are from different part of the world 2. How should we divide the money? Equally dividing them? Translators get more? 3. Who should keep the money? Who should collect and receive the money from the public? 4. Based on what do we get paid? I mean if I sub a video based on the length, say $100 for 1 hour show, if I'm the subber I would like to earn more if there's more people demanding the subs. And I think it's kind of a free lunch for those who did not pay but still can access the video. However, you can't collect money from all those who watch it effectively. (Sorry for my poor eng I hope u know what i mean for question 4) Tho the first 3 questions can be solved when it comes to a one-man subbing team, but still I don't prefer paid translations I take subbing as a hobby or something that can keep me away from facing the reality lol. I didn't become a subber to earn money. I sub something as to promote what we want, subbing UR for promoting the show, subbing AOA stuff to promote AOA to the world, etc. I think everything will be changed if I start getting money for subbing. p.s. However I don't mind getting paid by mnet lol These are just my opinions and does not represent the pov of Risa and Diamond After releasing EP4 Eng sub (which I don't know when it will come out) our team may discuss if we would like to continue the subbing as we are busy and some users show interests in getting a paid translator.

I know how you feel man Sometimes what you paid does not equal to what you gained After all we subbers does not lose much if we drop subbing, while the viewers will not be able to enjoy subbed shows if that happens. But at least being part of this UR2 subbing team granted me some new friends who are also fans of the UR series, a bit of popularity (? lol) and Yezi as my new fav . I discovered Fiestar and learnt that they are so underrated and seriously they need more promotions. I'm also learning to deal with some unreasonable requests which I think it will never happen in my real life. Subber's motivation comes from grateful viewers. Please support them if you would like to see subbed work in the future. I think I should end the rant here because after all this is UR2 discussion thread but not a subber rant thread lol

Translating a more than 1 hr show alone is difficult and tiring. I will try to find replacement but I'm not sure I can find one while in the meantime i will ask if Diamond would like to sub the whole ep on her own. I do find chinese subs for UR2 and they are released even much quicker than Eng subs. But as I mentioned before I don't want to do a double translation as much meaning a lost or distorted. Once again thank you for your hard work. We enjoyed working with you.

This. I can now fully understand why the last subber drop the subbing. Allow me to rant a bit: Most subbers (including us and the last subber) did not get paid. We do not earn a living by subbing. We have our own lives, our studies, our jobs. We sub just for fun, or to satisfy kpop fans, or even promote a show and the kpop culture to the world at a greater cause. To be more mean and direct, we sub if we want, we drop subbing if we had have enough for whatever reasons. I get this not just from subbing UR, but also from subbing other things so don't misunderstand me. Til now we(or at least me) are still happy to continue subbing UR2. Most UR fans are nice and appreciated the subs. But since one of our translators is likely to be getting busier and not able to continue to trans, plus I'm likely to involve in more OT in the coming future , I can't say 100% surely that we will sub UR2 til the end of the season. Yes I feel much better after I typed this out

Too many deep discussions and essays. tl;dr I just want to ask if u guys would like a quicker release of subs or a more accurate subs for UR2? Since I have received comments saying the grammatical mistakes are making viewers hard to understand and there is some inconsistencies between the two translators. A detailed QC can fix that, but it will take at least a day or more and that the subs might not be released after the next ep is aired. (i.e. ep4 subs released after ep5 aired, or worse) I hope u guys can leave ur opinions on that and we will try to improve it

Fiestar's You're pitiful (my jam) was played during yezi interview on her win. During the lyrics " the cold words once said by someone", mnet put the cuts of Yezi saying " What? what did you say?" " I don't know what are you talking abt" etc. together lol. Need to give credits to mnet editors lol

So far the tracks from season 2 did not do as great as season 1. I remembered all tracks from season 1 was at least top 3 in their first hour on Melon. While so far none of the tracks are able to acheive that. There were 2 no.1 tracks already in the first four tracks ( my type and good start). Are the viewers watch this show solely for the drama but not music? But I do think the tracks from season 2 so far is not as good as the first four tracks from season 1. Some reason i can thought of why season 2 tracks didnt do well as that of season 1. 1. Too much featuring. I feel that the most in track 4. Yezi got 1 verse only in a female rapper compliation album? This sounds so wrong. I mean featuring others is fine, but imo track 2 to 4 got too much featuring. On the opposite, tho <my type> and < good start 2015> featured male singers, i can still consider the female rapper is the main focus of the tracks. And they did good on charts too. ( T4SA is a bad example for that lol. Even tho jimin is my fav from season 1) 2. The tracks from season 2 are simply not that good as season 1 imo. The best track so far is track 1. Not feeling the others esp. track 2. That tracks is so much different from the version on the mission. So far these tracks gave me a feeling that they are produced in a hurry and just to gain some popularity via UR2. Considering track 4 (solo) is even a remix... However i still have a high hope on the upcoming tracks. Track 5 seems promising to me plus hyolyn won that track, track 5 may achieve a higher ranking. Glad that OH is finally back, but we missed the live discussion for ep4.

I think ì¡´ìž means someone you respect and I think it comes from the Chinese word 尊者 (i might be wrong tho) And yes it's a mix of diss and respect based on some other translations I have seen btw the timing of part 1 has started :D Edit: Yezi is my fav now
