  1. Thanks all who replied! i'm not sure if i really understand, but it's a start
  2. They said they don't have cell phones before... I'm sure it's the company that doesn't allow them to keep their cell phones, but they can't completely cut themselves off from communication right? And just like in this photo, i've seen them backstage etc using phones. Do you think it means they get specified cell phone usage times or something?
  3. I'm really puzzled and curious so i hope someone can give me an answer. Why is this miss A official thread's title always so... negative? and like always cursing at something... I've not been following them for the past few years, i tried to google for news but found nothing which satisfied my curiosity. Can a kind soul summarize the problems they're facing for me? Thanks
  4. I'm just speculating and i might be wrong, but i am very sure that April will have a followup sooner than Feb 2016. Dec or Jan at the very latest. This hunch is based on a few reasons: DSP has always arranged for followups for their artists' debuts, and the girls have been teasing Thriller so often recently (at the mini fanmeet, and again in their V app broadcast). There must be a reason why they have never performed Thriller at any show after the debut showcase, even though they've done Knock Knock many times, Forever Love a few times, and even Ruby once. It just doesn't make sense that they would choreograph & practice a dance only to be used once. By Feb next year, that's enough time to create a new single or EP even, that's no longer a followup. I sure hope DSP knows better than that...
  5. By that time, we might die of old age LOL so random.... Who knew KBS had an Arabic division NUUUUUU Aries suddenly pulled a stunner. I want Apri (the last one) to win!!!
  6. Word. Throughout k-pop history the viral EXIDs & Crayon Pops are a rare few; most successful groups made it by being the most active. Girl's Day for example literally forced audiences to notice them by coming back thrice a year until they reached the top. K-pop: follow up or give up. Youngji became a huge star REALLY fast. She has a charmed life. It's weird to think she's actually from the same 'batch' as Somin & Chaewon haha.
  7. Dream Candy performed far better than Gossip Girl did, and i know first-hand because i was there when Rainbow debuted. Beyond just comparing with Rainbow, April had a very strong debut for any girl group - 10k fancafe members by the first month, 3rd place on The Show and 8th place on Mnet, Weekly Idol appearance right after debut - and those are just a few examples. I don't know about Twice as they haven't even debuted yet. April is already on par with OMG in most popularity rankings i've seen, despite OMG having a 6-month head start. Dia? Not even close. Because MBK. You left out this year's strongest contender: GFriend. Even if we place GFriend & Twice as no. 1 & 2 this year (based on Twice's hype), April will likely end the year in the TOP THREE debuts. I agree they need a follow-up track, but not for the same reason as you; they need it to solidify their growing popularity!
  8. I can't see this as a smart move in any way by MBK, it just screams "we're disappointed with the performance of the title track so we're sweeping it under the carpet quick". DSP hopefully is more savvy than that and leave a little bit of space in between, to really allow the followup track to be hotly anticipated, and also to make the transition between concepts more natural. Please take them as they come, some of us actually like this concept and genuinely enjoy the music.
  9. Our chic leader sitting like only a chic leader can - no Fs need given
  10. Thanks! Are you on the team? I don't have Twitter so a PM here or through email wld be better, if anyone is interested in enlisting my help
  11. Last week was officially their goodbye week! (Jinsol revealed it at the end of the video) was there any announcement made though, cos i didn't see any... Great move by DSP to end Dream Candy promotions on a week that had 3 outdoor stages (The Show, Show Champion & MBC Prime Concert, although the last one was not televised i think). Waiting in great anticipation for the followup track DSP! p.s. are there any subbing teams looking for more manpower? I can help translate from Chinese (like in this video) or Japanese to English. Anything to help get the subs out as quick as possible!
  12. Because of this photo i have officially put my support behind Apple as their fanclub name (if it even becomes a thing in the fancafe lol). But to avoid comparisons with the company and to make it easier to google, how about something like Appl6? To denote the 6 members And i just gotta repost this shot: Appa-omma shot! Somin doesnt give a F about her image!
  13. Somehow no one noticed my previous speculation / spazzing about possible reasons for being on that 'camping' trip, so i'll repeat it here: Who else thinks they're filming an MV for their follow-up track at their location? Clues: - Most MVs that have outdoor scenes are filmed in isolated, secret locations to prevent fans from interrupting. - If Hyunjoo said it's a reality, then it's 90% NOT a reality because they also said it's a secret they can't reveal. - Based on DSP history, followup track MVs are usually released around one month after debut/comeback track promotions end. Since April are winding down promotions for Dream Candy around now, this would be the best time to film the new MV. - I'm placing my money on the follow-up track being Thriller, and if so, reference the following:
  14. Oh my stars. I think they're filming an MV for Thriller at that 'camp' site. Kill me now.
  15. I didn't manage to catch the live broadcast but seems it's all good cos me too, i don't care if it's not live, i want a smooth video lol. If you're right about the secret part, that's super duper exciting! I love surprises Let's KIV this secret and someone post again when what it is is finally revealed ok???
  16. Yup that's our chic leader, always strict and firm but fair and kind!
  17. Totally agree with the way you put it: Hyunjoo is definitely the Yoona of April. They both debuted to great popularity with the fans despite being mainly visual and not the best at any skill, and are both on the shy side. If this trend continues, we can look forward to Hyunjoo getting acting roles and becoming a Hallyu star too!
  18. It could be a corporate problem, like DSP had a disagreement with Giselle The Bonni which resulted in a termination of the partnership. I didn't understand even the gist of the thing.... Anyone can translate? Especially what were the comments by the show panelists, were they supportive or critical of April's acting? I'm so excited for the Prime Concert, whenever there's a chance of another special stage like this week's Ruby! When does it start?
  19. It might seem a bit cynical to say this but it's my honest opinion: i think she was accepted into DSP pretty much for her visuals, and DSP was spending that time training her from the ground-up in all-around skills - which is why she's not a particularly strong singer or dancer, and we haven't seen her acting skills yet, but every group needs that visual and sometimes in idol k-pop the visual is everything and skills just need to be basic. Edit: oh yes and that explains, for me at least, why she wasn't in Baby Kara. 1) Kara already has a visual and needs a replacement rapper. 2) She was probably not good enough in her basic skills yet.
  20. Wow 2 outdoor stages in a row! Get that exposure girls! I have always thought that Yena is very athletic. She has the physique, and she's also the group's main dancer.
  21. From what i've seen so far, i think Hyunjoo is kind of shy and reserved. She's the thoughtful, careful kind. That isn't really variety material but i think she has the emotional depth to become a good actress. Not to mention that face.
