    No its not pointless. knowing someone staying up late, sacrificing sleep(knowing that they have to wake up early for school), waiting for the date to change(means they know that it is gonna be ur bday that day) just to greet you a happy birthday as soon as the date changes, isnt that sweet and thoughtful enough?. Just like in mv drops, you stay up late and sacrifice sleep just to watch it as soon as it drops. the feeling you get from that, how much more a person would feel if you do that for them.
