  1. Is that Myao, Miu, AND Miyu on one cover? Talk about a must buy!

If you're referring to the image on the top with 5 girls on the cover then no, Miu is not with her fellow Mi sisters--it's Nako and 2 different Mi's: Miku (Nako's bff) and Mion (Mogi's paramour).

Otherwise yes, the MiMiMi are on the image below that one with all the girls in the senbatsu.

  2. Miyu a whole visual on the cover, nasty netizens can choke! (Limited edition...AKS you ain't slick.)

The second image is the Type A version I suppose?

As for the Produce 48 B-side...I wasn't really listening to the song because I was too busy being excited to see Moe and Sae centering a song and of course Mako, Chiyori, TomuSaho, Meme Queen Bibian and all the other familiar faces I grew to love on Produce.

  3. Miyu being gracious is just as expected.

I was initially surprised that Miyu and Yujin would be acquainted enough to take a selfie together, but then I remembered that Miyu was friendly with Yena and for a short time at the beginning of Produce she had gravitated into Yena's main social group, which included the Starship kids (she was with them during the fried chicken video). Maybe they even heard stuff about them looking alike and they took the selfie for the lulz and nothing else.

  4. I had thought that Miyu postponed her graduation so that people who couldn't go to her handshake events before the end of December could at least have another chance to attend. She sees everything in Miyukat land and she probably saw people lamenting that they couldn't get tickets or travel visas or whatever in time to see her. Regardless of the outcomes of her decision, let's continue to support her.

Anyway I took grim pleasure in seeing some wotas whining that the YouTube comments for the MV are flooded by "kpop fans" shouting about Miyu's lack of screen time. Myumyudan wrath is real and it gives them indigestion.

  5. I was furious when I realized how little Miyu got in this MV...I was so angry, I seriously thought that I was overreacting and that I should calm down. (Edit: I thought I was overreacting because I knew she was going to be in the back row and I should've expected this.)

But seeing her tweets now--I don't feel like I'm overreacting anymore. She really is hurt and disappointed, or she wouldn't have said anything, and I just know people are going to be snide saying that she should be grateful she even made senbatsu and just shut up.

Time to get that Fortune Cookie cover to 1 million.

  6. I have extremely low expectations for AKB songs so...No Way Man wasn't as bad as I feared, but considering that Miyu's probably going to be in the back most of the time in the MV and/or performances, I have little incentive at this point to try liking it.

But if Miyu does a cover I might love it, lmao. For example, I didn't like the original version of Better, but her cover version is one of my favorites.

  7. Since girls like Miyu and Mako are under different management, had they gone through with the plans AKS wouldn't have gotten everything, the girl's agency would be entitled to more as they helped set up the event. Bet AKS didn't want to deal with that, although money is money and this just stinks of the same old inexplicable pettiness of the kind they show to girls like Tomu.

  8. Since we don't have much to do right now as there's no news for anything yet, why don't we play another game? What are your top 5 favorite Miyu covers? I'll start with mine.

    1. The Truth Untold

    2. 365 days of Paper Airplane

    3. See You Again

    4. Fortune Cookie

    5. Shonichi

    I'll play:

    1. Certain Things

    2. Better

    3. A Bouquet Filled with Love

    4. Shape of You

    5. Instagram (I actually prefer the karaoke version she did with WM's Lee Seunghyun for Produce promos because it was so chill and had an impromptu feel, she was just having fun and it showed)

  9. And Mako’s fan meeting got postponed until further notice; I won’t be surprised if AKS is behind that too since Mako, like Miyu, is under outside management plus she already announced it. Mako’s only on a side track for No Way Man but AKS you ain’t slick!

Anyway, I’m ready for dancing queen Miyu.

  10. Not too surprised that Miyu slays at dancing (I think I read something about how back in the day her dance skills stood out enough to make her the understudy for important AKB members like Acchan...), but I loved the hairography, where she has her hair down and flying around with her movements, and of course the way she smiled as she slayed :)

Not to mention swaggy Miyu in sweatpants is a Look that I would love to see more of.

  11. I feel like this thread dies down sometimes, so to make it alive until a big set of news comes out, why don't we play a game?

    Question for all of you:

If you were the only national producer, who would be your top 12 (in no particular order)?

    Here's mine:

    Takeuchi Miyu - AKB48

    Lee Gaeun - Pledis

    Na Goeun - RBW

    Han Chowon - Cube

    Jo Yuri - Stone Music

    Lee Chaeyeon - WM

    Yabuki Nako - HKT48

    Honda Hitomi - AKB48

    Park Haeyoon - FNC

    Kwon Eunbi - Woollim

    Kim Nayoung - Banana Culture

    Choi Yena - Yuehua

    I'll play (from Top 30):

    Sakura

    Nako

    Hitomi

    Chaeyeon

    Eunbi

    Yena

    Miyu

    Kaeun

    Yunjin

    Miu

    Juri

    Haeyoon

  12. The Truth Untold cover was really good; it showcased Miyu's vocal strengths very well, namely her lower register and emotions. I don't even like the original song (the only BTS ballad I liked was Spring Day) but Miyu got me listening to her stripped cover (and previously the Produce version, which I believe she collaborated with Saho to arrange) on repeat.

I'm happy to have fan accounts from her handshakes too! We didn't always have them so I feel blessed.

  13. It was my running joke to blame Miyu's tardiness in posting videos to her crappy WiFi but it turns out that she's just a perfectionist. That perfectionism could also explain her propensity for deleting and reposting tweets, heh.

In regards to the postponement of her graduation...I wonder if the No Way Man album handshakes are the only thing she'll be doing, or if AKB management will actually give her other schedules. Either way I'm just really hoping that she continues to receive a good turnout for her No Way Man album handshakes in 2019 (it seems like her handshakes for the rest of this year filled up quickly because of her graduation, but now new slots are going to open up so I'm hoping it will maintain).

  14. Because I miss Miyu in this post-Produce limbo, I've been scrounging old content (I'm not very good at it) and I just really like watching 9th Gen because of how comfortable and loose Miyu was whenever she was with them. I wish they had done more variety together as a group.

By the way, if Miyu's going to be covering worship songs I'd love it if she covered Tauren Wells' 'Known'.

  15. I am forecasting now that she is going to cry more than she would ever did on her graduation stage. Her akb members, staffs and her fans turning up that day better make that happen! I don't expect the management to plan a grand stage for Miyu given she is at the back row in "No Way Man" but she has to at least graduate receiving lots of love she was supposed to deserve from her fans from around all the world.

Same; my wish for Miyu's graduation concert is also that she feels nothing but love from her colleagues and fans on that day. I want her to know without a doubt that despite the disappointment she endured, there are people who respect and love her for just being Miyu.

Musical ability aside, at the end of the day Miyu is just her mom's little girl, a good kid who deserves better than doubts and insults just for chasing her dream, a kid who deserves a little more happiness in a world that only knows how to take from her. That's the Miyu I like; my hopes and dreams for her don't matter as long as she's happier.

  16. Well, a week has passed since I broke my OH hiatus for this wonderful young woman, and now that her PD48 journey is done, I'll be returning to my inactivity. However, if Miyu decides to try for senbatsu one more time, I may pop back in here.

Until then, let me step back onto my soapbox for a bit.

When Miyu ranked 30 at the second elimination, I had a premonition that the only Japanese trainees Mnet wanted were Sakura, Nako, and Hitomi. Imagine my lack of surprise when I checked the results at work this morning and my premonition was found to be right. Now don't get me wrong, I still had hope for Miyu and was horribly disappointed, but...it doesn't matter now.

Mnet shot themselves in the foot from the very beginning, when Miyu showed everyone that yes, AKB48 girls can sing. And then they spent 11 episodes trying to stop the bleeding. By the end they had declared all-out war against Miyu (I saw the clip of Miyu's high note, where the camera swung away during Miyu's high note--in my opinion that was so transparently gross of Mnet, Mnet ain't slick).

But it's over now. I don't care what Mnet, the parasites who ate their garbage, or the smug wotas think about Miyu. They don't know anything about her, they never did, they never bothered. All they cared about was that she was in their way, or that their neglect of her made them look bad.

This is what matters. Yunjin, a budding musical actress before she left it behind to try Kpop, admired and adored Miyu. Already-debuted Gyuri leaned on Miyu's calm and gentle words of support. Miho, despite being Miyu's senpai and more fluent in Korean, stepped back and entrusted Miyu to lead the TTU team. Haeyoon, considered best vocalist and leader among the trainees, acknowleged Miyu as capable and hardworking. That's Miyu.

Miyukats, we did our best and we did all we could do. Let's continue to support Miyu with words and deeds wherever we can. Let's get her YouTube views up, let's inundate her social media with love. We showed good teamwork during the show for Miyu, let's see if we can continue the partnership with Japanese miyukats and coordinate some nice things for her!

Yuihan, Miyu's fellow 9th gen, tweeted about the episode and I saw a few replies to that tweet asking her to give Miyu a hug when she returns. I hope Yuihan gives her that hug, the hug we wish we could give her.

Miyu Takeuchi is worthy, and most of all, she is loved.

  17. Here's a funny situation. So many people have been suspicious if we were breaking the law or something. They kept asking how much we raised and constantly raided our gall with clarifications. THE GALL MANAGER IS SLEEPING FOR GOODNESS SAKE. GIVE US SOME BREAK.

I'd like to imagine that those are flabbergasted Mnet minions, in disbelief that the Japanese trainee they keep trying to drag down, the same Japanese trainee who "iS uGly, iSn't pOpUlar & cAn't sElL tICkEts", can pull in so much of that sweet, sweet $$$$$ that Mnet loves so much.

Well done, Korean miyukats! Please continue to work hard, we are all cheering you and Miyu forward!
