  1. It's slightly bigger than TD, its capacity is about 50,000, while TD only holds about 42,000.

Umm, no. TD has 55,000 max capacity for concerts. TVXQ's stadium concerts had 76k attendance both nights.

Thank you for answering .. :)

I  always thought Tokyo Dome is the biggest concert venue in Japan,  since people always said how it's big prestige for  able to hold a concert there

    -----------------------------------------------------------

Doubt BB will do stadium for their next tour, even TVXQ which I think slightly more popular than BB, never hold a stadium concert (Correct me if I'm wrong  )

TVXQ held 2 stadium dates in a row last year

  2. I seriously admire people who can still enjoy Fantastic Baby :rlytearpls:

lol right? I haven't enjoyed listening to it since like 3 months after Alive's release.. I hate that it's pretty much BB's signature song now. It doesn't hold a candle to Haru Haru or even Lies.

  3. Mehh not really worried.

Same. Not even sure where it all came from lol.

Edit: rofl so they were name dropped by some journalists as an example of how broad that Jaycee guy's friend circle is and K-media attempt to drag them into the mess as a result? The reaching is real...

  4. This is so frustrating cant YG just arrange a press con so we can clear things up

Youre asking for someone's head because she needed her meds? Goodbye korean keyboard warriors are fucked up

Then YG would be giving these hateful netizens exactly what they want. The reason they're so over-the-top anti-Bom and dragging other YG acts into the mess is because YG was smart enough not to keep fueling the flames. The public already moved on weeks ago but knetz (particularly on Nate, of course) think Bom got off easy.

Tazza definitely didn't change him

I have this as well so I totally understand him lol. I also think the fact he used to be fat has a lot to do with not wanting to show skin. Being fat changes a person permanently. They become very self-conscious and it often stays that way even after losing the excess fat.

i don't even recognize one username here anymore...double p? kim?

    sup

  6. Oh I see. But even if there is a problem with their sales too we probably won't even know since its their debut album, so nothing to really compare the numbers to anyways. YG hasn't really been publishing articles about pre-order numbers in a long time iirc (since OOAK?), which is kinda weird, so I have no idea what sort of numbers to expect from them.

Well I think he'll be nominated for SOTY at most award shows anyways if he lands a Top 5 hit by year end, don't want to expect anything but fingers crossed!  :meow:

iirc YG did mediaplay about CDE receiving 300k pre-orders from stores.. That's where my prediction from it selling 300k by year-end came from. GD/BB have a history of outselling initial retail pre-orders. I actually forgot about this completely. It's the main reason that led me to believing something fishy was going on, then YG released the article saying overseas #s weren't counted etc...

  7. You mean the overseas fanbase purchasing albums part?

    -----

I hope ENL can win SOTY at some year end shows, its probably his best shot at a daesang. I'm not sure of the criteria but its not always the #1 song that wins it right? Apart from cases where its kinda undeniable (Gee, Gangnam style etc...) Cause I remember IATB winning it @ MAMA 2011, and CYP's Bounce won it last year @ MAMA too....

Some will undoubtedly be #1 song of the year but I don't feel like there is a song that stands out head and shoulders above the rest so far this year, so it can go to anyone tbh...

No I mean Winner's album sales will probably be normal and not lack "overseas" sales like all the albums since LTAL

  8.

In my theory, I think YG is a distributor themselve now (For YGEshop and some other places too?), so they have both ways to sell album:

    - As a distributor themselve => sale isn't counted on Gaon but it saves them a lot of money

    - Through KT Music for Gaon's sale

They tested it with CDE and they think it's ok. They have digital sale + tour + hype to brag about the acts' success?

But who knows, maybe it's just the album packages aren't as good as before so the general music fans aren't buying.

    damn, that sounds so depressing

I think your theory is likely. And I also think that by selling it themselves on YGEshop (and possibly some other places), they get a much bigger cut of the sale too. I suspect YG isn't taking this approach for Winner cause atm he's investing in them long term so he values facts to media play about more than profit.

Well its probably bound to effect WINNERs Gaon numbers too, so lets see if YG will address the issue then.

YG certainly won't want them to be labelled as physical flops after all he has invested in them and their debut has been a success in all other areas so far.

I think all YG acts have been affected to some extent after LTAL (even 2NE1), and its kinda frustrating tbh. Feel the most for BJs actually, since 2NE1 actually went head to head with GG and then they had sones making 1857204 threads mocking their physical sales lol.

Read my reply to mol's post. I don't think it's gonna affect Winner.

  9. There's a theory that YGEshop's sale for the albums after Let's Talk About Love isn't counted on Gaon, 'cause of the sudden change of GD CDE's Hanteo/Gaon ratio, and YHS comment about "foreign sale isn't counted"

I think this theory is true. If you take out overseas sales then the CDE/Rise sales kinda make sense. Their K-fanbase has shrunk after the 1st hiatus but their strength lies in the fanbase they gained overseas since then. The numbers reflects that exactly. If they counted overseas #s, then CDE would be close to 300k and Rise near/over 100k.

They must have changed something in the album distribution process for sure. Maybe it has something to do with switching distributors? It used to be different but now it's KT Music.

  10. I wonder if they actually believe themselves when they say the album will be out this year or "soon"? I'd rather they just shut up until it's around the corner. Hate this.

Actually the more I think about it, the more a release during the dome tour makes sense. It's a typical YG move. Finally an album but barely any promo. Just pre-recorded tv show and music show appearances.

  11. Papa YG recently announced that the girl group will be unveiled soon. I think he posted it on YG-life last week, so there is a high possibility that he will do so. About the tv show, I'm pretty sure he'll do it next year. I hope he does.

No he did not. In an article written by a journalist, shared on YG-Life (I can't believe I even have to explain this), the assumption was made by the journalist that the gg's debut is right around the corner since YG mentioned about 7 months ago that 4 groups would debut in 2014. Even then people knew he was full of shit, but now it should be even more obvious.

Honestly, some of y'all need to stop letting your hopes get in the way of your rational thinking. The chances of them debuting this year are very small. Winner just debuted and it's mid August. What makes you think this group's debut is right around the corner?

  12. This just confirms that there's a new album. I don't think YG let them sing FB for 3rd straight year and FB again in MAMA  :har:

I said the exact same thing last year but they went ahead and did it anyway.... Pretty sure it will happen again. I explained this before, but there is no way they can make a comeback before the tour and I sure hope (and think) a comeback DURING the tour isn't even a remote possibility.

    The facts:

    1) They will always do Korean solo concerts around the release of a new album. These are always announced ~3 months (or more) in advance. Nothing has been announced yet.

    2) GD recently spilled some details on the album which indicates the recording process is far from done

    3) They need to rehearse for the comeback at least 4 weeks in advance (concert & new song choreo)

    4) They need to rehearse like 2 weeks ahead of the dome tour too

    5) Whenever a new album releases, they WILL release a Japanese version 3-4 weeks later and promote it too, requiring an additional 2-3 weeks.

    6) Taeyang has his solo tour lasting into early September

Even if you ignore for a minute that recording isn't done, no concerts are in the pipeline and YB is doing his concerts, then it would still be hella tight and that's assuming they start the final preparations tomorrow. No way it happens.
