This was the trailer (fair warning, it's pretty bloody!) The song comes on about halfway through. I thought it was some kind of group photo situation. What is the song about? I'm having trouble finding lyrics.

I mostly agree with your review. I actually quite like Shine, though. I remember hearing it in the trailer for some movie, and I spent ages trying to find it. So I was happy it was included on the album. I like how it grows over the course of the song. By the way, what is happening during the bridge of "ã¯ã£ã¡ã‚ƒã‘"? ​It sounds like she's talking to a group of students or something, but I can't really tell.

Yeah, I'm not surprised that she isn't in the top 100 artists. Her past few albums don't seem to have made very much impact. I agree an anime tie-in would help people discover her. I think she needs another song like "My Measure" - something upbeat and catchy, with a powerful message that a lot of people can relate to. I think they were heading in that direction with "Live Again," but it was a bit slow/boring in my opinion. Same with "Kawarini." Imagine it a little faster with a stronger beat. Could have been a great song. "熱ク" probably comes the closest. Ultimately a lot of her songs are just really long and take a while to get to the chorus. So her music can be kind of hard for mainstream listeners to get into.

Haha when I was in Korea, people kept telling my friend she had a small face and she was like "what???" Then we learned it was a compliment. That's so funny that Alex is having the same experience now.

Have I posted in here yet? I don't think so. I'm a fan! I liked "Just Go," but then I sort of stopped following them until "Demonstrate." I'm glad they're back on my radar - it's a really good song, and I love the addition of Alex to the group. Her rap parts are well done, and I like what it says about the girls of RaNia that they've become really good friends with someone who's not only a new member, but also a foreigner AND African-American on top of it. I have a lot of respect for them now. I think the whole mini-album is quite good. When I heard "Up" I was like "wow I'm surprised this wan't the single." Then I discovered that it WAS a single already, while I wasn't looking And "Get Out" is my favorite, I like how it's sad but upbeat. Have they performed any songs other than "Demonstrate" with Alex? It'll be cool to see her in more songs in the future.

Yeah I was thinking of Maemuki when I said her recent album covers haven't been that great. I kind of like this one, just because I like the emotion in it: I'm not surprised to see her on the chart just because I get the impression there isn't a lot of competition in the Japanese reggae field. She won the Video Music Award for best reggae video in 2013 and 2014... it doesn't look like they had a reggae category this year but I'm sure "Vibes Up" would have won. I seem to recall "Live Again" doing pretty well on the iTunes chart when it came out, as well.

The album covers are really lame haha. But to be honest, other than tough village her covers have been pretty bland lately. Just her face in front of a plain background. Nothing that really says anything about the music. I kind of wonder whether lecca herself actually cares about this compilation haha. The queen amidala costume is awesome though!

It's definitely the list I expected. I would have been amazed if songs like "Tsubomi," "For You," and "My Measure" weren't on it. I guess we already knew half the song list from the trailer video, though. I think they'll be good! I usually quite like her singles. Sometimes the full album has some songs that aren't as good to me or that sound like filler material, but if she's focusing her efforts on just two songs, I'm hopeful they'll be very good.

Yeah her videos haven't been great lately. She just stands there and sings in a lot of them now. I liked the video for "Sky is the Limit." "Vibes Up" was pretty good too. But more recently they've been sort of boring.

I agree. I think it's so awesome that she's released so many albums in 10 years. Some of my favorite artists would only release three albums in that time! But I thought since this best-of seemed to focus on the happy "positive" songs, there would be another focusing on the other ones. But maybe not!

Do you think there will be a "Best Negative" or "Best Ballad" album after that, for the slower/sadder songs?

I'm glad there's a thread for her now! I really like her. I started listening to her music when "Clown Love" came out, and I've been a big fan ever since. I hear she has some kind of "Best of" album coming out next year?

I'm not sure if I've posted here yet, but I'm a fan of Poten! I've liked them since "Tornado" first dropped. I was bummed when Tem and Eujin left, but I'm actually fine with Haejeong leaving. She didn't really add anything IMO, she and Hyejin were kind of redundant. I was surprised they gave her the chorus. If they came back as a foursome, I'd be so excited! Prettiest group in kpop tbh.
