  2. ohh cool, you're an ultrasonographer? RWMA..ejection fraction..haha
  3. OMG EUNJI looks BEAUTIFUL hahaha her IG video so hilarious. i second pretty_angel, she sounds super drunk..i was like why does her singing sound so terrible today..oh wait it's eunji..she must be drunk lol
  4. lol no...i just happened to be there for holiday and it turned out that apink was having a north american tour..purely coincidental. i want to go the singapore one, but i've already spent so much on going to the san fran one that i'd feel guilty to spend some more..tho i am tempted. plus i have exams after that so i think it might be tough. are you going?
  5. hahaha the san fran ticket sales started at 12pm PST so that was like 3am in singapore..i was having night shift at the time so had to sneak out and use my phone to get tickets..then the phone didn't work..so i had to sneak out again and run to the nearest computer to get tickets..it was sort of an epic night lol good luck getting tickets!! rmb to have plan b in case phone doesn't work (i was freaking out haha)
  6. oh no then how?? but they don't come to singapore that often so you should definitely go..i knew they were a hilarious bunch but seeing them live was amazing and added to the fun. not to mention eunji's killer vocals that permeated the entire hall..i think the whole audience died cuz her voice was so good haha
  7. haha the fanchants are so manly today..girls are gorgeous as usual. happy vday fellow eunji fans!
  8. hey guys sorry i haven't posted much lately..missed you guys..hopefully will have more time when apink goes to japan to translate stuff haha. i'd love to see them again when they come to singapore but i'm still broke from the san francisco concert..
  9. i was out for a while cuz work was crazy lately and i had an exam, but took a quick listen at eunji's duet and goodness does she sound amazing.
  10. wow what's with the outfits at the red carpet this time? preppy concept? eunji was cute but idk about the others.. the pink sailor outfit is cute but i can't imagine eunji liking that lol and how does eunji manage to sound so amazing when she's sick? i hope she's better anyways..is it just me who misses the old remember choreo? it looked so much more happy and cute..the new one is like..going for sexy? but i don't think it really matches the concept of the song?
  11. gosh this is so true aww you can take a trip to the UK, it's not that far from you! i actually traveled quite far from singapore to SF and attended their concert..though i didn't actually come to the US for this i was just very lucky and happened to be in california when they came haha but sooo glad i caught them.
  12. she looked amazing for this whole event..her small tight skirts are really working for her lol yeah it's really unusual that she didn't say anything during the speech, hope she gets better soon
  13. APINK IS COMING TO SINGAPORE??? yay this is awesome..i might get to see them twice this year
  14. This is so true!!!!! The MC was not very good to be honest
  15. haha she has the same pose just on different sides...reminds me of how she can't act sexy on demand lol
  16. i think it's cuz it's cold...i was in korea 2 years ago about this time of year and i was freezing my ass off. wearing a mask helps with that.
  17. hey guys i'm just chiming in to say that EUNJI WAS AMAZING AT THE SF CONCERT..i had goosebumps cuz her voice was so good..i am too poor to afford a M&G so i just had a standing ticket but thankfully the venue was small so i could see them quite clearly (i just wished i was a bit taller..) i was just imagining how it would be like to see them up close and talk to them, i'd probably go up to eunji and scream saranghae!! maybe i can sneak in a hug hahaha. maybe when i start making money and i can afford nicer tickets. also her english got a lot better! no more "i'm korean", at some point i think she was correcting the interpreter..and i like how she doesn't hesitate to try to say things in english, even if the grammar is off we can tell what she wants to say, and from that i can see how much she wants to communicate with the fans despite the language barrier. overall an excellent experience and i hope i can catch them again in another concert in the future. oh and i actually didn't expect so many people to be at the concert..considering LA has a bigger korean population and all..but the line to get into the venue was super long by the time we got there, and we thought we got there pretty early..but yay for apink and their pretty solid fanbase here in california. i'm a proud panda. and i fell in love with eunji's voice all over again.
  18. i haven't been able to post lately cuz i'm in midst of my travels before the beginning of the term + studying for exams, but let me just say that I AM GOING TO SEE APINK IN SF TOMORROW!! great way to end my holiday. welcome to SF apink!!!!
  19. I think pretty angel posted the photos of the magazine article but it's so small i can't read it..haha no worries everyone, happy to do it! glad to be of service!
  20. Trans for the Japanese Pia magazine behind the scenes article online that someone posted earlier. I don't really actively distribute any of my translations anywhere, so feel free to share it in other places for other international pandas to read. I'm not sure I'm doing a very good job of translating (actually translations are pretty hard..capturing the essence and tone of the writer in a different language is difficult!) so no need to credit lol. --------------------------- On Dec 9, Apink released their Christmas single “Sunday Monday –Japanese Versionâ€. The individual members’ photo label version is cute, but their outfits in the normal version as well as in the rare “Santa†version are also very cute. The magazine “Pia†has recently published an interview with Apink along with their photos. Here on the web, we will show you what happened behind the scenes! On the day of the interview, the members had just left Korea in the morning and came to the studio directly from Haneda airport. Since they are girls, they took some time to prepare, but those who finished early left their signatures on the large panel, or left Japanese messages using some Kanji with the help of the Japanese staff. During this break time, Hayoung was busy taking selfies. Fans look forward to seeing photos of the members on Apink’s official Twitter. These photos are actually taken with the two managers using their smartphones to provide lighting. Beautiful lighting is instrumental in a beautiful photograph. I see, that’s a good idea! We guess it’s about time the girls are done prepping, when the responsible Bomi comes out and checks on the rest, then says “Hayoung, hurry~. We’re starting~†to get the others ready. Up until now, Apink’s Japanese singles consisted of light dance tunes. Sunday Monday is the first single with a more mellow tone. “It’s the perfect song for this season. It warms your heart, and I hope the fans can notice this too,†Bomi said with a smile. The situations when this song would be a perfect background, as well as more information on the new song, Sunday Monday, are written in the interview on the magazine “Pia,†so be sure to check it out! Sunday Monday is the song that each member naturally started singing in the last episode of Apink’s Showtime when they were exchanging presents with each other. When asked why they sang this song at the time, Chorong said, “this song is very sweet. That’s why when you sing it, you get a bit embarrassed, you feel some tingling in your heart like when you’re confessing your feelings to your soulmate. I thought this song was perfect for that situation,†while the other members nodded in agreement. The second song in the single is the more fairy-like “Petalâ€. When asked, “do you have any superstitions like counting flower petals to make wishes?,†Bomi said, “actually, we try not to have any superstitions.†“When we are making our albums, many times bad things happen to us. Last time Naeun hurt her ankle... Because of this bad luck streak, we try not to think about such things,†said Chorong, while Eunji strongly agrees. We also asked about the recent national tour, “Apink 1st LIVE TOUR 2015 ~PINK SEASON~†since the DVD will soon be released in Feb 10. “What was amazing was that, all the fans were watching us standing up for the whole 2 hour concert! Without thinking, we asked whether their feet were okay!†said Eunji. In Korea, people usually watch concerts sitting down. Even in a concert hall, standing is not allowed in the upstairs seating area, so people have to watch sitting down. Also, concerts are ‘enjoyed’ rather than ‘seen’ in Korea, so fans continue to sing along with the artist from start to finish. If you’re sitting next to someone very loud, you’d only hear that person instead of the artist. These are some cultural differences the members noticed. Eunji added, “In Korea, people watch concerts with a more casual attitude, whereas the Japanese fans watch over us carefully, which was amazing. It was interesting how the reactions varied between the different places in Japan. Some places had people that watched so carefully you’d think they wouldn’t miss a single thing, while other places with more students had a livelier atmosphere with bigger fan reactions. Since it is the end of the year, Pia asked each of the members about their personal goals. Every one of them had a specific goal. In the interest of space, we couldn’t put everything on the article on the magazine, but Eunji also said “I don’t know if the rest of the members agree, but I feel that I still have room for more learning after graduating school. I’ve started learning English with Chorong and Bomi. I want to learn more about music composition, as well as take guitar and piano lessons. But the most important is to do ____!†Check out the magazine to find out what ____ is. Eunji sounded so passionate when she was talking about her goals, while Chorong blurted “your speech is too long!†and the rest of the members laughed. We could tell how close they are when we saw these interactions. Speaking of Chorong, she says “I’m not sure why, but 2015 seemed like a very short year.†The precious time spent with fans during concerts in both Japan and Korea passed so quicky…It’s not that I feel sad that 2015 is ending, but I do feel like I’m not ready for the year to end just yet. The year probably went by fast because of their busy and fulfilling schedules. We also asked Chorong about the group’s plans over 2016, so be sure to check out the magazine! -------------- This magazine does a good job trying to lure people into buying and reading the magazine article..lol
