[spoiler] K so we have to come up with content and rehearse for a class presentation to the rest of the year group by next week Wednesday and I was the only one that could do something in advance, so I did it with the mindset "hey I could lift a huge burden for us all like this". The idea was that I compile various popular music videos released between 2012~2015 in a medley type thing so they could use it however they wanted to.   So I followed those instructions but I did it a little selfishly in the sense that I ignored a few requests such as that Whip/Nae Nae thing and Hotline Bling for the 2015 part bc   1) I thought Hello and Uptown Funk would be better 2) I fucking hate the original Whip/Nae song and Hotline Bling is just yawn   But the thing is, it would work either way. But suddenly, some bitch wants to axe the concept of the videos being in chronological order and take a song out from the 2012 part and another song out from the 2014 part to make space for the utter bullshit that is Whip/Nae and HB.   Firstly, no video of mine is going to feature those pieces of shit, and secondly, if you really want those pieces of shit to feature in the presentation, das fine! Stopped by bc I feel people are showing very little thought when they comment on Suga's lines from Cypher pt 3 so here's the translations (I was hoping for various sources to make sure that it wasn't any kind of mistranslation, but I could only find two): "As you know, my voice will turn you on Whether it’s a guy or girl, my tongue will make you come" (x) "Whether it be men or women, my flexible tongue movements will send them to Hong Kong with my raps" (being sent to Hong Kong being a euphemism for having an orgasm) ( ) Some are pointing out that he's talking about his rapping being good enough to give somebody an orgasm, including ladies and gentlemen. But as somebody who writes lyrics, Suga most likely knows exactly what he's saying and it's more than likely he put in this double meaning intentionally. He could have easily left out the "whether it be men or women" - if he wasn't trying to suggest something, why would he have put it in? Suga's usually praised a lot for his thoughtful and authentic lyrics and all the meaning behind them, so 'tis just interesting why people are questioning the intentions behind these lyrics in particular. Jus saying~ Later in the song according to the second source, he also says "even if someone tries to fuck me over from behind" which I would use the same points to talk about, but in the first source, the translator thought it was "even if someone tries to betray me from behind", so it's a little less reliable but still significant enough to bring up. Honestly, I don't even care enough to spend time speculating on someone's orientation, but the opportunity presented itself when it came to Cypher pt 3.
