    whats this comp used for?

  4. so ive been playing alot with noobies and it seems like you guys are confused about item and skill builds for heroes. its one of the factors slowing your lane phase down and overall game play.

if you are under 4k and think you are doing something wrong with your favorite heroes then ask the thread. i'll try to help you or someone else can. its all about discussion and learning.

example of this is supports not maxing out damaging abilities. heroes like shadow shaman. your damaging spell like ether shock are the best support spells in the game. why? because you need to kill fast and get out. the longer you prolong the fight the more chances of things going wrong like the enemy backing them up. ultimates like Lion's and Lina's need to be used effectively. means 50% hp use it. even if you think its overkill or you didnt need it. best to just use it. if it doesn't kill then even better. which means you used it to its maxim potential and someone else can finish them off.

another is cast time and channeling spells. again hex is one of the fastest disable in the game. you should always open with hex when you initiate a fight. this is for lion as opposed to his stun.

scenario of a play would be blinking in and instantly hexing your target to beat a blink or an invisibility spell. hex is just to fast to react in time.

with channeling spells like Bane's fiend grip and shaman's shackles is that its a 1 for 1 spell. you are also immobile and will probably die if its a big engagement.

im using shadow shaman as an example here because its the worst offender with new players. i tell them to max their Q but their reply is always "but im support" so instead they get max shackle. /facepalm. damage spells are also support spells.

Item builds and what to get is abit more complicated. you build items according to what will counter the enemy heroes or how well it synergies with your own hero and also the circumstances of the game.

however item timings are pretty simple.

its broken down into Tiers 1, 2, 3, and 4. T1 are your consumables and starting items. T2 are and extension of starting items that are for the lane. ie bracers, ring of basil, and boots. T3 is your base item. blink dagger, force staff, shadow blade, bkb, lifesteal etc. T4 is your slot items, the build you are going for.

    you can break it up into price range aswell. T1 <500g, T2 <1500g. T3 2000g-3000g. T4 4000g-6000g

as a core hero at 30 mins should have a few T2 items that are left over, one T3 and one T4 and your boots. this is the minimum and anything less means you are not doing very well.

big mistakes is see are buying too many small items as a carry. ie Shadow Fiend with both a mek and Euls then a blink dagger or shadow blade. this is a waste of money.

this is a quick basic guide to help some peeps. if you want specific info on anything relating to dota just ask.

but of course you can disregard this n call me a noob. in which case fite me 1v1 bottom rune

  5. Making offensive jokes about terminal illness for one is not acceptable. Secondly the word "retarded" is considered offensive and derogatory in nature to a lot of users on this site. I would suggest you reconsider the language you choose to use going forward if you wish to not incur warning points/have your post removed.

it wasnt a joke. also then can i change it to stupid?

  6. Is CSGO good? I haven;t played that but heard a lot of people been saying it's good yet very hard? Steam sales 50% really dont want to miss out the deal  :rlytearpls:
