So I was listening to Jinho and I didn't know Pentagon had another vocalist that can support. I thought everybody aside from Jinho and Hui are shallow lol but Yeo One sounds like he has something going on
The verse was less impressive with the light approach and he was a bit into the nose. 1:13 E4 carried support but he was kinda tensing up here. He put more effort starting from 1:29 though. 1:41 Some pushing from the throat on the adlibs so everything above F#4 is a no I guess lol. 2:06 there's def some support going on in his mid range. It's less refined than the average guys but better than what I heard from most floppy, shallower W-As lol. 2:18 Tight on the F#4 but not bad.
Did more digging and this clip was a bit of a surprise. There was more effort in sounding stronger here. He was mostly singing in his mid range but it was smooth throughout. 0:53, 1:06 some Eb3. 1:14 couple of phrased Eb4/E4 throughout. 1:23 quick E4-F#4 followed by Eb4.
Idk if he always sound like this but from these clips he doesn't sound that far from Average

Does anyone know how Seonho (ONEUS), Jongho (Ateez), Woobin and Chan (ACE) actually measure up against each other? Every time I see a vocal ranking usually they’re up there but the rankings are always a bit different lol
Woobin is the best out of the bunch. Jongho and Chan are a bit tricky for me. Both have F#4/G4 ish. Personally, I'd give Chan the edge for having a cleaner approach, less tension, messy moments and also a more developed lows. Though iirc Jongho at his best might have fuller and more open belts than Chan does so idk how that counts lol. I'd put Seoho last. The others have stronger coordination in their mix in comparison to Seoho who can be quite light in his approach.
But do correct me if I'm wrong if anyone is more familiar with Jongho/Seoho

So it's a future alleged rapper who will enter NCT or SMNBG. For the moment it's the only one who has some predebut materials.
I think there are some attempts of support in his singing, but maybe I'm wrong.
Any thoughts ? @himi@BAZISSINO@ZRH23
he sounds shallow ngl but at least he puts more effort into sounding more grounded than idk renjun/chenle gang lol. but then he's a rapper so it's fine i guess

Here we go again...
Honestly as long as they are not making fun of it what's so wrong with them wearing dreads and/or braids (tight, loose and every form in between)???? It's not like they went around saying, look at my hair I'm black and cool now yeah yeah yeah, they just shot their MV, looked pretty and went on with their lives. Like don't you have better things to do than policing hairstyles????
I understand the reasonning behind it, dreads/braids are important to black people and they were persecuted for it, even till now BUT what is so bad about other races wearing dreads?? I don't get it, is it fueled by revenge? like i wasn't allowed to have dread in peace so you have no right to wear dreads now and be praised about it unlike me?
I really don't get it, they are not mocking anyone, they are not saying the dreads were invented by themselves so why is it appropriation?
And as I said in another thread about this same discussion, people in my country get paid by tourists (locals and foreigners) to get braids/dreads and they are really happy to do so. Litterally noone goes around saying, no you cant braid this white woman hair, it's cultural appropriation, like noone gives a fuck.
Ps: i guess i have to put a disclaimer here that I'm black, not american but african, my take would be dismissed in this day and age if i'm not part of that particular group lol.
This. I get that black people got mocked for wearing dreads/braids and I can see how people can get offended if a white person is wearing it based on their experiences but let's say if a Korean or a Japanese person wear it because they actually like it, are you also going to gatekeep that said style/culture. It's not their fault that black people got discriminated by white people in the west. As long as there is no ill intention I don't see a problem. Not everything is cultural appropriation.

A.C.E Chan did an entire busking session yesterday. It's a long video so I don't expect anyone to watch it but if anyone is curious. @himi for your listening pleasure lol
well I was actually there at the buskin session so it was indeed a listening pleasure lol. the vid is too long so i'll pull in some clips i recorded lol
He did mostly fine up to F#4/G4. F#4s at the start of the first vid followed by very pushy G#4 lol. Second vid @0:06 slightly pushed F#4. 0:27 phrased G4 was a bit tight but not bad
Nothin much on the one direction song but I quite like his lows/mid range there. It was smooth throughout. There are a couple of phrased F#4s throughout the chorus and then he goes tight and a bit pitchy above that lol
Second vid, 0:26, 0:29, 0:54, 0:57 the F#4s are nice for him. 2:09, 2:12 A bit tight and uncontrolled on the first G4 but the second one was better
0:43, 0:47 Same song but I like his G4s were a lot better. Especially the first one. Safe to say he has F#4/G4 as I initially thought.
Also just sharing this vid I made a few days ago
From what I gather, in comparison to Chan, Jun and Donghun may have fuller E4~F#4s, at least at their best when they're not going for the very gritty, throaty, rock approach they always do lol but Chan takes the win everything above

I don't wanna be that person but I don't see how Showterview will prosper with Sunmi as the MC. Jessi was the whole reason why it's so famous and successful.

yeah they seem to do better internationally cuz sadly their songs were barely charting in the korean charts
classy is worse in terms of domestic fans
-
idk if I'd put Kep1er in A. They're not doing that well in Korea. Maybe a high B tier
