I'm just upset. Seohyun is so passionate about this group and her career (more than any other member) yet SM and most sones don't give her the time of day. She's busting her butt in musicals and doing so well that professionals can't help but praise her performances. She's not only writing lyrics for SNSD but composing the songs themselves and she's constantly shot down. I honestly don't think SM is going to give her chance to do anything on her own or ever do right by her. They rejected the role of a lifetime without asking her, then they turn around and try to stop her from doing musicals (the only solo career she has. She got a degree in it for christ's sake!), they don't promote anything she's in but the one time they do it's a role in a cheesy drama. I just want SM to actually give her an opportunity (she earned one a long time ago) and actually put some effort into it. I know Seohyun is proud of being able to achieve so much with so little help from the company that's supposed to give you a leg up and support you. But come one. She's busting her a** day in and day out since the beginning yet no recognition for it what-so-ever. It just irks me to no end.

Onion pretty much just confirmed Sunny getting a solo. Does this mean no Seolo 2k16?

Yeah. If she ever admitted to supporting the banner I'll be slightly disappointed and obviously admit that she was just as wrong as everyone else (regardless of how clean her image is). But even in the last few years when her confidence went up and she became a much more vocal person, she was still careful with her words and actions. Even with her blossoming personality she's still very conscious of the fact that she is a role model and someone to be looked up to. Not that the other girls aren't but other than Yoona, they tend to be a bit more "reckless" with their words and actions even in public. Her track record is pretty much clean even when making colorists or offensive jokes in general weren't a big deal with the fans. It's one of the reasons why I think her and Yoona weren't completely ok with what happened during 9/30 (whether the decision was justified or not). There is nothing wrong with being an open person like Hyoyeon, Sooyoung, Yuri, or Tiffany. Hell, there were times in the beginning that I wished Seohyun would talk more. But I think Yoona and recently Seohyun have proved that it is possible to be charismatic and open person and still be conscious of their words. Tiffany in the beginning was the most hated member, I remember that much. Even now she is very much disliked because of her crass behavior. I understand she's an open person but she could be more conscious of her actions. What I'm assuming is that maybe Tiffany, Sooyoung, Hyoyeon, and maybe Taeyeon and Sunny wanted to make a banner for Yuri congratulating her on her drama and still be funny. My guess is that Seohyun and Yoona knew they were going to have a banner made for Yuri but not necessarily what they were going to put on there. I'm not sure she would approve of putting a banner out there with a joke that she's never made about any of her members. And certainly not with something so controversial. Like I said if I'm proven wrong and she went along with it I'll think otherwise. But Seohyun has hardly ever made any jokes about any of the other members let alone really offensive ones.

Seohyun as I recall is the only one (along with Jessica and maybe Yoona) who has never made a joke about Yuri's or Sooyoung's skin throughout her career. Even then I still don't take these jokes among close friends seriously because they are still just jokes that they've always made with each other. Tiffany's been called a pig, Seohyun has been made fun of for her ears during their debut, Taeyeon and the short team for their height. I've seen worse said about someone's skin tone (being black and living in the South will teach you that) so I feel like this is something trivial in comparison to what I've seen and experienced. And even then there are times when members have called Yuri the most beautiful or the sexiest member of the group regardless of her skin tone.

I think fans have a hard time separating whose voice they like more from who is actually better. I liked when I got into SNSD I always liked Seohyun's voice more than I liked Jessica's but I also acknowledged the fact that Jessica was a little bit better than her (but due to her improvements she caught up to her and surpassed her just a little). I've seen a few sones place Sunny, Tiffany, even Yuri and Sooyoung above Seohyun in singing simply because they sound nicer to them (they wouldn't be saying that if they heard her musicals). I've seen sones place Tiffany above everyone in singing (even Taeyeon) simply because they like the way her voice sounds. Seohyun is and always has been a better singer than Tiffany. Because Seohyun has been in the background for the majority of her career, sones treat her as an after thought and don't pay attention to anything she does. They know she's a hard worker and a smart girl but when it comes to actually recognizing what her hard work and determination has gotten her (whether that be surpassing a member in something) they don't want to acknowledge it. Seohyun has improved more than any member in singing since her debut yet most sones won't recognize that and it's sad. Really.

Twice is just as hated due to their fanbase always being extra so it'll be close.

I just realized Sunny is listed as a main vocalist with Taeyeon in this thread while Seohyun and Tiffany are listed as lead vocalist. O_O

In her last few years, Yoona and Seohyun were much closer to her. I remember in 2013 when it seemed like Jessica was so lonely, Seohyun was always by her side. In airports onstage. And she always has been. Like I said, my like and dislike wavers with Jessica. The only time I like her is when I think of the times she's spent with SNSD (Her wiping Seohyun's tears during her birthday prank). It's things like that when I genuinely like her. And then I get pissed when I think about how she could throw members like this under the bus. Taeyeon and maybe a few others weren't on good terms with Jessica. But Yoona and Seohyun for sure were her friends. SNSD respect Jessica enough not to talk about what happened. Whether it's out of obligation or respect, like you said, Sica fans should be grateful. There are some members that would normally speak their mind (Hyoyeon and Sooyoung). And there are others that are too morally sound and too logical to support Jessica when she's bringing the entire group down (Seohyun and Yoona) (If these two were to say something, Jessica's actions would be questioned).

I've been saying this for the longest time. I've always felt like Jessica was petty and childish for airing all of SNSD's business without even trying to talk them about the decision they chose to make (or SM chose to make). An adult, no, a professional wouldn't have done something so rash and unprofessional. I'll even go as far as to say she was prepared to throw SNSD under the bus like that. When she left for New York she wasn't exactly on good terms with them. She left with SNSD giving her an ultimatum. The idea of all of SNSD ganging up and turning her back on her for no reason is stupid and illogical. She had to have been causing problems and she knows. Jessica fans are sitting here thinking SNSD kicked out Jessica over jealousy and other petty bullshit. That's far from the case. The only person being petty here is Jessica. When she was in GG, I tolerated her. Her laziness was annoying and it was clear she didn't really care that much about performing. When she got kicked I respected to an extent. My like and dislike waved back and forth mainly due to her annoying ass fans who felt the need to question SNSD and criticize them. This is the nail on the head. She clearly doesn't respect SNSD or her fans enough. She wants to open old wounds for a profit, fine. Shows just how much GG actually meant to her. Claiming to have moved on when she's the one opening old wounds SNSD probably would probably only have a little bit less of the popularity they have now had GG not contained Jessica. But Jessica wouldn't have Blanc and Eclare without SNSD. She certainly didn't get it for her design skills.

I was on Facebook when allkpop posted the article about Seohyun's photoshoot. Tons of praise, except for this one comment that had the nerve to call Seohyun a bitch and a slut then proceeded to call sones butthurt and then insulted the rest of SNSD. Clearly a troll. Every kpop fan knows Seohyun is like the sweetest and most sincere idol in kpop.

Where the hell did you get 2/8 for SNSD? GG has 4 vocalists. Taeyeon and Seohyun are the main vocalists and Tiffany and Sunny are the lead vocalists.
