  1. Non-heterosexual girl here. Btw, the discussions these past few days... Some people are taking things way too seriously. This thread is supposed to be a nice place to just have fun speculating a bit, talking about LGBTQIA-related shows/movies/articles/etc from Korea, sharing gifs or pictures... Of course nobody is absolutely sure about the sexualities of the idols mentioned in this thread. As long as there's no actual coming out (or a leaked sex tape or something), there's no definitive evidence. Does that matter? No, I don't think so. In my opinion it's completely fine to speculate, as long as people realise everything should be taken with a big grain of salt.
  2. Oooh another version, thank you! And welcome btw! Also welcome to all the other new people here!
  3. There's nothing to apologize for imo, you did nothing wrong And I really wouldn't mind seeing (more) things about Tao and/or Sehun here. Btw, happy new year everyone! Let's hope 2014 will be a good year for LGBTQIA acceptance in Korea (and everywhere else)! I wonder what the year will bring us.
  4. Coincidentally, I watched a Brony documentary yesterday (it's called Bronies: The Extremely Unexpected Adult Fans of My Little Pony) and it was pretty interesting. Everyone in the fandom seems so nice and accepting, and also very creative (especially the music is pretty impressive imo). Bronies might get a lot of hate, but I'm just glad all those people found something that makes them happy. Nothing wrong with that. About the show itself... I watched one episode a long time ago and it was cute, but the show is a bit too cheesy and fluffy for my liking.
  5. BANG BANG DREAM GIRL BALLAD VERSION EVERYBODY LIVE So amazing! I wish DG was longer though. Hopefully we'll get a full version someday (maybe during SWC3?) Anyway, happy new year! I hope 2014 will be a great year for all of you! And obviously I also hope it will be another great year for SHINee. I doubt they'll be as active as this year (get some nice rest, bbs <3), but to be honest, all I want is a nice world tour, including a concert in Europe That's not too much to ask for, is it?? *fingers crossed* Also, happy birthday Nea & Luna! And Sofi of course, but I already congratulated you on Twitter
  6. Tbh I wouldn't be very surprised if SM gave Key a warning or something... Maybe that's also why he suddenly appeared on WGM...
  7. Welcome! I'm Sabine, 91 liner, also Key biased You can find lots of subbed videos here. Have fun watching!
  8. Oh look, the KeySeop ship hasn't completely sunk yet
  9. Ken!! You're always way too sweet How are you? Prettyyy And also Dutch I see. Hallooo
  10. Kinda disappointing that they lipsynced, but oh well... It was still enjoyable imo. And I guess I'm the only person here who didn't mind EXO... /hides
  11. Shawols are already pissed off... I don't mind a joint stage though, since I love both groups. But I think it would've been way better if they both would have their own stages PLUS a collab. But I guess there isn't enough time for that? Well, we'll see how it will turn out... I just hope EXO does well and people won't be too upset
  12. Christmas selca: /late
  13. Today's performance was nice, but not really amazing tbh... Just like basically all of their other DG performances. Sherlock last year was SO MUCH better... Hopefully they'll do something different and more interesting at the SBS and MBC Gayos. Hitchhiking please. Who am I kidding though... MTE! I want some crazy and memorable outfits
  14. Omggg Ngl, I LOVE THIS. This song is one of my guilty pleasures. And Kris is looking really hot with his hair like that. Btw hi, I don't think I've ever posted here before! I'm Sabine and Kai is my bias, although I also really love Kris, Tao, Chen... and the others
  15. Hitchhiking and Nightmare were perfectttt, finally they've performed two of my favourite songs Now all I need is Orgel, Excuse Me Miss (but there were tweets about them performing this song? Who dares to lie about that, gosh :| ), Like A Fire... Hopefully during SWC3.
  16. Oh wow I bet he secretly likes how he looks in this picture... Otherwise he wouldn't have posted it twice, right?
  17. All these fancams and pictures So nice after a busy and tiring day at work. Seems like it was an amazing concert, so jealous of Mel and everyone else who was there. Hopefully SWC3 will be just as amazing (and hopefully they won't skip Europe and I'll be able to go -_-) Bless this performance. They were so into it.
  18. Awesome, downloading now. Thanks! Hi Mel!! And hi thread!
  19. Jonghyun also DMed her! No translation yet though. I wonder what he wrote.
  20. Jonghyun, I love you, you're amazing Proud to be a fan of him. Here's a better translation btw: < No matter what name you call us, we are not ‘Annyeong’ (well) > Last April, the third attempt to enact anti-discrimination legislation was turned down because of those who loathe equality. In September, Kim Jo-kwang-soo and Kim Seung-hwan publically held a same sex wedding for the first time in Korea. There were disturbances such as human excrements being thrown onto the stage, but Kim Jo-kwang-soo and Kim Seung-hwan marched down the aisle with pride as to prove that “love is stronger than hate.†But a few days ago, their marriage registration was denied. Also, some people voiced ridiculous claims that textbooks should discuss the issue of the humans rights of sexual minorities as a topic you agree or disagree with. Many of you who read this will think like this: how on earth does this concern me or the state of current affairs? But because I know him [Kim Jo-kwang-su], I can tell you this. Whether you are pleased with this or not, this is the story of the world that sexual minorities, including myself, live through, who dine, take classes, study, and have debates with with all of you. This is another side of the current affairs of the society we live in. Yes, I am a sexual minority. I am a male to female transgender person and I am bisexual. I am a woman. I am of the “880,000 Won†generation. I am a college student. I am one of the inheritors of the working class. What more names can you call me by? There will be no end if you tried to enumerate them one by one. It’s not just me, but probably all of you are living in the present, being called by numerous names. But I am not okay, not at peace at any moment, whichever name I am being called. Today’s Korean society not only can’t enact an anti-discrimination law, but discriminates against sexual minorities on a daily basis, throws rampant unfair criticism and hatred towards females, exploits the young generation, forces college students to be absorbed with employment instead of academics. Which name should I be called in order to be at ease? Someone asked us this. Are you guys Annyeong, whether we are doing well. That’s what I’m saying. Are we all well when we’re relieved that anothers’ pain is “not mine,†growing accustomed to closing our eyes and blocking our ears in order to protect our own lives? How well can we be in a cold-hearted world when it continuously presses us to give up empathy? I’m not saying that we all should pour out on the streets and start throwing stones. It’s just that, if this story of asking whether all of us living today are Annyeong (doing well) provides an opportunity to look into the face of the person next to you and call their name, I think this has been worthwhile. As the world becomes lonelier, I think, contrary to our belief, the way for us to become ‘well’ is nearby. Right now, please ask the person next to you, “Are you well?†From snowy Sungkonghoe University, Kim Eun-ha, Department of Social Sciences T/N: Annyeong: the literal definition of the greeting is ‘a state of tranquility’ T/N: 880,000 Won Generation refers to the demographic of Korea in their 20’s that suffered employment instability around 2007. Multiplying the average paycheck of part time workers, 1,190,000 won (1130 USD), by the average salary rate for people in their 20s, 73%, results in 880,000 Won. This is the first amongst many generations in Korea to play the “Game of the Winner Takes All.†This term was first used in the book 880,000 Won Generation, published in August, 2007. The author, Woo Suk-hoon says “Only the top 5% of people in their 20s will have a stable job above middle management and the others will live on part time employment with an average wage of 880,000 Won.†[naver encyclopedia/ MK Business News,news.mk.co.kr ] cr: @dustypixie718
  21. Finally a thread, yay! They're really subtle, aren't they I love them, they're so cute. They seem really happy edit: Couple outfits: Couple bracelets: Translation of Heechul's instagram post on Sept 6: I’m happy^-^ I hope I can continue to laugh like this everyday from now on.. A relationship that would let us remember our past memories while smiling, not only as Universe Big Star and fan, but even when we become old grandfathers and grandmothers.. After meeting Gunhee, I have learned to relax, and be positive. Instead of hoping for 200% of happiness for just me, I hope you all and I could have 100% of happiness together.
  22. I wouldn't be surprised if things like this actually happen, but blindgossip posts a lot of bullshit. Some of their blind items sound like fanfics coming true. They do everything to get attention, especially from naive One Direction fans (Larry shippers) but who knows, maybe the things they post are actually true, lol.
  23. True, we have no idea what he meant exactly, so we should take this with a grain of salt. But I think many people here (including me) would like to see Key as someone open-minded, inspirational, etc. So a comment like this is just not what people expect or what they would like to see, I think. Oh well... I guess even Key isn't perfect
