Oh man the anticipation is killing me!!

If Tzuyu's video teaser gets released in two hours I'm just gonna repeat watch it all day lol. I did do this for the Nayeon, Mina and Momo's video teasers as well too. I'm more looking forward to Tzuyu wearing military/hip hop/rock themed outfits with mesh incorporated into them. I'm just not ready for it though, I think I might just scream.

Welcome! You should watch SIXTEEN if you haven't. You'll learn more about the girls that are in Twice that way. I also fell for Tzuyu. The moment I saw her in her SIXTEEN individual teaser I knew everything would be different. I'm not sure why other than her other worldly face and body, but she captured my attention and has since still not let go of it. All the members of Twice have something that is cool or interesting about them and they haven't even debuted yet!

Anyone who hates or dislikes something without an open mind to assess why they do and reconsider things will find anything to reaffirm their views even if it means cherry picking things to further their delusion. Perhaps it's fear, perhaps a member they liked in SIXTEEN didn't make it into Twice. The end of the story is if someone hates something so harmless as an idol group they will find a way to be annoyed no matter what that group may do, fans or not. Such people are either trolls or honestly threatened or hypersensitive towards petty trivial things. Confirmation bias is one scary thing. "If you repeat a lie often enough, people will believe it, and you will even come to believe it yourself." That's how that works. Who cares for the truth if enough people think or believe a lie. I feel at this point some people are simply echoing a popular sentiment without actually seeing the things they claim. And if enough people do it? Well crap. The people who are echoing these sentiments may well be the same people who fell for a bait or simple believed a negative thing said because they wanted a reason to not like Twice. I agree. I've been a sone since 2010, been through everything those girls had to bare through; ups and downs. Anyone who may question the validity of my view can go look at my snsd collection. SNSD never owned the number nine. Simple as that, the notion that they do is honestly comedic. It sounds like the basis of a skit. It's a damn number. A numerical value. A Hindu creation. No single person or group can lay claim to such a thing. I'm not saying it wasn't precious (the number 9) to sones and snsd. I'm not saying that number doesn't hold any meaning to certain people. But I am asking why it can't hold a different but also endearing value to another group of people. Oh and welcome, yes post more! TWICE DEBUT HYPE!! Disclaimer : I think I'm making this out to be more than it is. I think i got carried away. The negative sentiments towards Twice and their fans have honestly been somewhat mild judging from the past in comparison to other groups.

I expect Twice getting nominated here and there for their debut song but I don't expect a win from their debut song. That would be nice though of course. I expect a lot of attention from non fans towards them and Twice setting themselves a part from current rookies. It's a bit early and I'd like to see more images, but for now... Best : Mina, despite having little change I do like the hair colour she's sporting right now. Worst : Jungyeon, I seriously adore this girl and I want all the best for her. Thus that is exactly why I'm not so happy with her hair. I hope to see more images of Jungyeon's hair, perhaps it's not that bad.

Seems like we keep having similar thoughts. I also thought of this possibility. During the last episode of SIXTEEN JYP noted that he was the most taken back when he had to eliminate Momo and that Twice needed her. He didn't want to eliminate her but due to her surprising online voting results (being stuck in the bottom 3/4) he needed a way to have her in the final line up despite the online votes. The thing is, that did back fire on him though. The production crew said that they knew JYP intended on making a 9 member group, just not the identities of the last two members, or something to this effect. And due to the selection process segment being only shot a mere few hours before broadcast this left little time to edit this section properly and thus the mixed feeling of many with Momo's return. All in all it made for quite a touching moment for the Twice members and the morning after Momo was one of the most searched names in major Korean sites. I'm happy that Momo is in Twice in the end and I'm not really seeing any hate towards her now.

It's possible. She did a pseudo rap of sorts in the group mission with Chaeyoung & Jiwon during 'SIXTEEN'. Apparently she was also a rapper in the planned Japanese project team that consisted of her Mina, Sana and Mone. So I think she will have rap lines in at least Twice's Japanese releases in the future. Yeah I agree. I only thought of Momo due to her somewhat lacking popularity (it is a bit early to tell though). This lacking in popularity was in part due to her being taken off SIXTEEN pre maturely (but even then she was always near the bottom in the online voting which baffled me because I believe she's stunning and awesome).

Lines Most : Jihyo Least : Tzuyu Screen time Most : Nayeon Least : Jihyo Kinda funny if Jihyo does have the most lines but also gets the least screen time as it wouldn't really make that much sense. I think it's either her or Momo as of now.

It really surprised me to find out Jungyeon didn't have her own personal thread. I guess she has less int fans or people assumed she already her own thread and thus didn't make one. I hope she gets more love in the future, she seems so charismatic and constantly calm.

This is of course just theory. But a reason JYP and mnet might want Twice debuting after the Japanese broadcast is the ratings. If JYP were to release member or group photo/music video teasers on their official youtube channel more people would be aware of the final line up. And more relevantly to this theory, the Japanese as that would affect the ratings due to them knowing the final line up. Of course this is referring to the more casual viewer. Anyone who is even a tiny bit following Twice/Sixteen would know something of the final line up. It's that more casual viewer the channel wants to keep fixed on the show. Of course, all theory.

Yep. I guess if the Japanese broadcast of 'Sixteen' really does end on the 30th of October the earliest we can expect teasers is indeed early November. Even then it's all up in the air since it's all up to JYP. That being said November does seem likely.

Actually, from this it seems like mnet Japan started airing 'Sixteen' in Japan on the 28th of August. If they aired one episode per week that would mean 6/7 episodes would have been aired by now. This would line up with the notion that Twice wouldn't debut before the end of mnet Japan's broadcast of 'Sixteen'. If and only if this means what I think it means, mnet Japan's broadcast of 'Sixteen' won't end until October 30 (the 10th week of their broadcast). Thus this implies the possibility of no teasers of Twice being released before then as it could "ruin" the show and it's ratings for those watching the show and don't know the final line up of Twice in Japan. A successful debut for Twice would be one where they chart well and get nominated for trophies at weekly shows. It would be difficult to win though with a debut song and the competition. The minimum is having a lot of people talking about this new girl group and knowing that they have debuted. So I hope this comes about via teasers around 2-3 weeks before their debut and a showcase close to their official debut. I hope their debut involves some pretty difficult choreography because there are some pretty good dancers within Twice. On top of this JYP is known for housing some really great dancing artists/groups and Twice won't be known as a vocal powerhouse of an idol group. At least it seems like that as of right now. So I hope they play to their strengths and gain attention via that.

I'd like them to make individual accounts a few years from now I think. It's very easy for something to go wrong when social media and celebrities mix. Perhaps two to three years after their debut would be not bad.

From what I saw from SIXTEEN and Twice tv, I think Jihyo may end up being the leader of Twice. She had the most votes when the sixteen members were tasked to choose majors (above 2nd Jungyeon & 3rd Nayeon) and San e noted she'd be a great leader early on in the program. So from that I think the positions assigned to each member would be... Nayeon : Lead vocal (She seems well rounded though and is easily one of the more experienced in performing among the nine) Jungyeon : Lead vocal (She was assigned same song parts as Nayeon in songs and JYP complimented her singing in the last ep) Momo : Main dancer & rapper (More so for Japanese releases I think, but she may rap in Korean) Sana : Lead dancer & sub vocal Jihyo : Leader & Main vocal Mina : Lead dancer & sub vocal Dahyun : Lead dancer & Lead rapper (Her non eagle dance solo should be evidence enough) Chaeyoung : Main rapper & perhaps Lead vocal in the future (She seems stable vocally, it's a bit early to tell) Tzuyu : Visual & sub vocal

I thought Tzuyu's hair is black though? Looks like it from the image of her and Twice at Junho's concert. The image taken and posted on that instagram could've occurred any day before today.
