--- My picks after episode 3 in no particular order. Yohan 3 - 1 - 1 (Oui) - he has that center aura for Boss. rap and dance seems kinda rough in the preview. Eunsang 14 - 2 - 3 (BNM) - nothing much about him in ep. 3 Wooshin 5 - 7 - 6 (UP10TION / TOP) - he is good. visual + skills. really deserve to debut imo. Kookheon 29 - 13 - 15 (Myteen / Music Works) - he is hilarious!! talented + super funny Tony 55 - 44 - 21 (Hongyi / FNC) - he'll drop quite a bit but his vocals and dance is better than what i expect in the MAMA performance Yuri 33 - 34 - 27 (Esteem) Wei / Jinhyuk 38 - 35 - 32 (UP10TION / TOP) - really promising in the preview. hope he did well. Seungwoo 39 - 39 - 34 (VICTON / PLAN A) - hope mnet will give him some screentime. i quite like him based on the little i have seen so far Seungyeon 67 - 41 - 38 (UNIQ / Yuehua) - his ranking after voting reset will be a surprise. i think he will rise quite a lot. he seems like a very nice person and can be a good leader based on ep. 3. i have said this before but he might be the dark horse this season. Good to know they are ok with him. He meant well. He just want his team to deliver a good performance. Yeah Yohan and Wooseok are most likely to debut atm. Both seems to have strong one pick voters. As long as Mnet wants them... and they don't get into controversies. A bit too early to tell but if I have to pick now only Seungyeon has a chance if he can keep up the momentum + he need a storyline. Maybe Kookheon if he did well for his performance + he need a storyline too. I don't see it in Kim Hyunbin yet because he don't really seem like a strong one pick to me. Maybe Tony or Hangyul if they get their storylines.

Love Shot team also has 2 very experienced members, Wooshin and Seungyeon. And Hangyul who went through The Unit. This team is pretty much debut ready. Solid performance. Love the team dynamic and good teamwork. No More Dream has that hype and energy and rough edges around it. It was a good performance. Kim Hyunbin is good. He is very all rounded. He can sing well. And rap well. And dance well. Very talented. A bit too intense and the edit Mnet gave him... idk if kfans will want someone like him in the final group. He is someone who get things done.

My picks after episode 2 in no particular order. I don't like anyone to the point of having a one-pick. I like way too many debuted idols. Most of them are not going to stand a chance. Yohan 3 - 1 (Oui) - visual + storyline + decent skills + charm Wei / Jinhyuk 38 - 35 (UP10TION / TOP) - he is actually quite funny. stiff facial expressions / movements when he performs. need to relax. Wooshin 5 - 7 (UP10TION / TOP) - also need to relax. like Wei he seems stiff during the audition. Kookheon 29 - 13 (Myteen / Music Works) - sing and dance well. lots of potential here. Eunsang 14 - 2 (BNM) - so likable and soft-spoken. he reminds me of NCT's Jungwoo a lot. Yoonseong 13 - 24 (Woollim) - massive lack of confidence despite his skills. he reminds me of Baejin back in S2. Yuri 33 - 34 (Esteem) - I'm going to get flamed for this. skills wise better than expected. magnetic? star quality? Seungyeon 67 - 41 (UNIQ / Yuehua) - funny and skilled Tony 55 - 44 (Hongyi / FNC) - like everyone else i see potential in him. decent skills. just need more training. he seems like the kind of person who wants to share his thoughts and feelings, expressive but yeah he needs to learn Korean language just like Kuanlin back in S2. *Seungwoo 39 - 39 (VICTON / PLAN A) - discovery of the episode for me. I checked out his fancam, his singing clip in ep.0 and also his candidate center video. Mnet barely gave him seconds of screentime but I noticed him in his audition. love the song choice. very fitting for debuted idols. he seems very intense and into the Produce battle atm. Mingyu 1 - 3 (Jellyfish) - not really my pick but he has what it takes to be an idol. well-spoken, humble and thoughtful. he's a good kid.

Yeah I'm aware of that. Based on the fanacc of the first evaluation and also the preview for ep. 3 it seems like because of Yuvin's mic issue, Kookheon cried? That is the impression I get from the fanacc. Usually debuted idols act like they don't know each other on Produce. I think this is because although they have debuted everyone is supposed to be equal as they are all trainees now. Anyway I have no idea what happened. Kookheon's team probably won and he felt sorry for Yuvin because of that. Just ignore this. I think I am all over the place.

Depends on how Mnet edit him. He is very cautious but Mnet can create drama out of nothing. If Mnet don't want him in the line-up, he is pretty much done because he was 'controversial' to begin with. Personally a bit worried about Yuvin and Kookheon because of the mic issue. Depending on Mnet's edit this could screw them up. I think there is a higher standard placed on debuted trainees. They are probably expected to be professional. So for them to break down because of mic issue... It will really depend on Mnet. Mnet could go either way with the mic issue.

Jaehwan was always on the radar of voters since Sorry Sorry. And he was always in popular performances throughout the season (Sorry Sorry, Downpour, Never and Hands on Me). Those performances kept him in the spotlight. It also helps that Mnet likes him and wants him as the main vocal of the final group. He was 'the pick' for main vocal. Both by Mnet and the voters. Sungwoon has always been in the top 20 to 30 (34 - 21 - 25 - 3 - 11) throughout the show but what propelled him to debut ranks was Downpour followed by the whole Never storyline. He was not a strong contender until Downpour but Never sealed his spot. Chaewon was always popular among Kfans (and Jfans). She was popular without Mnet's screentime / edit / storyline. The votes she obtained was purely because of her skills, visual and charm. Mnet's push / edit / screentime of some trainees clouds their true popularity in the last 3 seasons. Yeah definitely. Personally I just don't see it in him yet. He rose a lot because of the screentime in episode 1 and also because of 11 picks votes but I don't think he gain a lot of one-pick votes. Just my impression on his rise.

Just my opinion regarding Sunho. Mnet will not let Sunho in even if he can. They will choose someone who can at least complete the 2.5 years exclusive part. They will most likely choose members who can fulfill the 5 years contract in full. --- The whole point of Produce is to choose the top 11 / 12 trainees who can attract viewers to vote for them and only them and place them among the upper pool of trainees among the top 20 / 22 trainees during the final. What makes this particular trainee so 'special' in the eye of these voters? To the extent where the voters think "I must vote for this trainee so that he / she can be a part of the final group?" There must be a mix of at least 3 to 4 factors below + likable to the majority Visual Storyline / effective screentime / screentime with impact / memorable screentime Talent / skills (need not be great but have to be at least passable for a member of a kpop group) Personality X-factor / star quality In every season there is a token place for one not skilled pretty trainee to make it. This trainee usually is visual, not skilled but likable and memorable. Mnet to some extent do 'manipulate' voters through screentime allocation but if a trainee has solid one-pick voters they will make it. Case on point Jihoon in S2. A great performance can put a trainee on the radar of voters but to make it as a final member, a lot more than that is needed. Momentum is crucial. Most if not all finalists are set by the end of episode 5 (first elimination). The latest a trainee can start to truly rise is position evaluation (by episode 7). Any later than that it will be almost impossible to top the one pick votes gathered by popular trainees from the beginning of the show. Trainee(s) who rise in the 2nd half of the show will have higher chance to debut as the voting would have mostly stabilized. Also whoever is the popular second pick among eliminated trainees during the 3rd elimination (top 35 to 20 / 22) will also have much greater chance to make it because those votes will go to them.

I really like them but they have like zero hype otl. Both of them are really good. They are comfortable on stage, great facial expressions and skilled. I hope they can make it to the next evaluation. K voters please vote for them. Lee Wonjun 77 - 83 (E) Wonhyuk 83 - 99 (E)

This season has a lot more young flower boy idol visuals. Less diverse visuals but more pretty boys. S2 has more mature? and diverse visuals imo. Ratings are high and is a good indication of future success of the group. But I would say it is still too early to say it will match or top S2. There are a lot more than just ratings that made S2 the success it is. In the long run Korean idols still need a decent level of skills to survive and do well in the industry. Visuals can only carry you so far unless you are the visuals among visuals like Cha Eunwoo, Irene, Suzy etc. The best is to be all-rounded like Ong, Sungwoon, Daehwi to be able to get offers from various sectors of the entertainment industry. The 3 of them can sing, dance, emcee, radio dj, participate in variety shows, do photoshoots and also attend events. Ong can act + quite a few CFs on top of that. When the group disbands and the idols themselves lose the group tag to carry their name, it is their own brand name and skills that will carry them in the industry and ensure they are still booked for jobs.

E Entertainment trainees had a good audition and both of them should have ranked A. Mingyu is well-spoken. He answered the trainers question well. He has the personality to be an idol. Plan A / VICTON Han Seungwoo is very good. I think he is probably the best (between him and Kookheon) among the trainees who debuted. He should cut his bangs. I cannot see his face. Tony Yu is raw. His singing and dancing is ok. Just need training and fine-tuning. He must learn to control his emotions and facial expressions if he wants to be a kpop idol. The trainers are way too hard on Hyungjun. Poor kid. He just seems so sad. He is going to be traumatised by the end of the show. I don't think people realise how hard Produce is on the trainees. All the Wanna One members said they had a hard time on the show. With the lack of sleep + immense stress and pressure I can only imagine how all of them felt during the show. Must have felt like hell. But it also because of this the debut group will always be ready to take on the crazy schedules after debut. The show is only the beginning of hell for the trainees.

Not sure about him in the final line-up but I think he will make it to the final episode. He seems a bit too serious and intense for now. He don't look friendly based on the screentime he had so far. I just check S2 episode 2. Total votes: 4,526,847 Homepage + Gmarket: 3,533,492 Mnet App: 993,335 So far the votes are on par with S2. Determining point as to whether this season will be as successful will be the first evaluation as usual. Good performances from there will propel the show to greater heights. I'm still trying to catch up with the materials Mnet had released and watched a few of the X1-MA focus cams. Some of them are really bad dancers. I have no idea they are that bad... Just to name a few... Mingyu, Jungmo, Gichan... I didn't know that Gichan was a model at Esteem and just trained for 10 months at Fantagio. Maybe Fantagio just wants him to gain exposure through Produce and debut him as an actor? Quite a few people mentioned Tony Yu (Hongyi) on this thread. I like his visual. Seems like he's in X? but I think he has potential looking at his focus cam. Son Dongpyo's focus cam though. He is really good. Great dancing skills and facial expressions.

My list of trainees after episode 1 (a mix of trainees I like / noticed / promising / potential final members / popularity / star quality):- Kim Mingyu 1 (Jellyfish) - visual pick Goo Jungmo 2 (Starship) - visual pick Kim Yohan 3 (Oui) - pretty much lock for final episode. he has been trending a lot. by far the most popular trainee after episode 1. Kim Wooseok / Wooshin 5 (TOP/ UP10TION) - also pretty much lock for final episode. been through various 'scandals' and still going strong. likely strong one pick fandom which is crucial for Produce. Hwang Yoonseong 13 (Woollim) - very promising. visual + talent / skills + seems nice Lee Eunsang 14 (Brand New) - very likable (great smile) + talent / skills Han Gichan 16 (Fantagio) - promising? Kim Kookheon 29 (Music Works / Myteen) - can sing and dance well and i feel determination from him. potential dark horse? Lee Jinhyuk / Wei 38 (TOP/ UP10TION) - no reason. he just caught my eye. seems mature. also seems very determined. will need to see if he is good. Kim Sihoon 43 (Brand New) - talent / skills + likable imo Cho Seungyeon 67 (Yuehua / UNIQ) - just watched some of his old videos. he is good and all-rounded. also potential dark horse imo. * Park Yuri 33 (Esteem) for star quality. Way too many debuted idols in my list (4). Most of them are not going to make it. If only 1 debuted idol make it, Wooshin is the top contender for the spot as of now. He should be ok skills wise. I just like his vibe? He seems serious and mature. Very different from most of the trainees this season. Mnet likes him so he will not end up like Haknyeon. Unless he does something very wrong in the future. Idk about his skills but I like his vibe. He seems like a nice kid. Cha Junho is losing a lot of hype (which is mostly for his visual) based on what I have seen around while other trainees are rising. So yeah he might not make it if he relies on his visual alone. He kinda lacks charisma / x factor imo. Han Gichan is going the Ong route. Even his outfit feels like Ong's audition outfit. Visual, tall, good proportions and slender just like Ong. He seems quite well-spoken and natural in front of the camera just like Ong. Let's see if his skills is anywhere near Ong. What made Ong so popular in S2 is how all-rounded he is. He can sing, dance, emcee, funny personality, confident and always live up to expectations. Lots of pressure on him but he seems promising so far.

First impressions are crucial for Produce. By episode 5 (first elimination), most of the finalists are set. Song Yuvin is likely Mnet's first choice for main vocal position for now. He is a combination of Jaehwan (appeared on singing shows on TV before) and Nuest (debuted). He needs something more than just talent, skills and storyline to make it. Jaehwan was in all the popular performances throughout season 2. Good audition with Skyfall, Sorry Sorry, Downpour, Never and Hands on Me + funny personality + storyline. Wooseok/ Mingyu/ Yohan/ Eunsang are possible final members Seobin has a chance. I like his PR video. He can sing. His entrance could be better and I dislike the lullaby thing at the end of the episode. Not sure about Cha Junho I don't think YG trainees will make the final line-up Han Gichan (Fantagio) has a lot to live up to. Fantagio trainees always have good visuals and proportions. He is very slender just like Ong. Yuri has the x-factor just like Kwon Hyunbin. Controversial based on what I have read around but his presence... he is memorable. If he has decent skills he has a better chance than Kwon Hyunbin. But atm I don't think he will make it just like Hyunbin. Brand New Music trainees are solid. Trainees I'm keeping an eye on for now - Goo Jungmo (Starship) Hwang Yoonseong (Woollim) Lee Jinhyuk / Wei (TOP/ UP10TION). Idk him at all. Just keeping an eye on him. I want to know if he is good.

Quite a few trainees are getting attention for their visuals. Woollim Cha Junho seems really popular. But I think the third Woollim kid (Hwang Yoonseong) will gain hype later on for his visual. He reminds me of YG / Treasure 13/ Magnum Mashiho. Midam looks like The Boyz Hwall with his current styling. Both UP10TION members also have the visuals to make it. Wooshin looks like Park Bogum and ASTRO Moonbin. Wei reminds me of Lee Jongsuk. Not only visual wise, even his cute pose? and smile reminds me of Lee Jongsuk in his latest drama. Hangyul looks mature compared to most trainees. Yuehua Seongjun also has that Lee Jongsuk vibe. He looks a bit like ONF Hyojin too in this picture.

Day 3 feels like the end.. everyone broke down.. my tears keep falling..

Day 1 is a trainwreck. Most if not all of the boys cried. Ong Woojin Daehwi Jisung cried so much.. It was heartbreaking to see them in such state. I just want the boys to be healthy, happy and successful in the future.
