Choice Music in L.A. is going to be putting the lightstick up for preorder in the U.S. next week. They were supposed to put it up today but were told to delay because they don't have a final number yet. For other newer lightsticks they've been getting in 100 at a time. I will never understand why a Tech Director would cut away to crowd reactions right as Taemin does the Move high kick. It's not like the choreo is unknown or there isn't rehearsal beforehand for it to be featured as a highlight.

At the beginning of the event before the guest comes out, it seems like the documentary LDW was in "See Saw' plays - it is the story of how LDW became blind soon after his marriage (he had an incurable retina condition) and how he met a man who was completely paralyzed except for eye movement who offered LDW a retinal transplant. LDW, who never got to see his daughter born after his eyesight was gone and talked about it very movingly on Healing Camp, refused the offer because he couldn't deprive the guy of the one thing he had. I'm guessing the wheelchair was LDW's way of putting the guest in the position of the other person sharing their struggle with LDW as in the film. When I saw some of the partial Tweet translations I too thought of Rick Allen, the Def Leppard drummer whose arm was amputated after he was speeding without a seatbelt and ran into a wall, and who later relearned drumming with the remaining arm but who also is a recovering alcoholic... except that the translation made it sound as if the drummer had died so I thought it must have been someone else. The alcoholism continued after he made a successful comeback as a drummer, btw - he was charged with spousal abuse and sentenced to go to AA. Kind of glad LDW left that bit out.

Apparently the L.A. segment they're filming for The Dancer is going down Sunday at 6pm with Lia Kim! EDIT: Whoops, cross-posted with the above tweet! Ian Eastwood just did a class here last weekend and I wondered if he'd be involved again.

In more prosperous times I used to be the queen of finding cheap flights (and racking up more ff miles) via multi-stop trips. My record was New York (JFK) - Frankfurt - Dublin - London Heathrow stopping in both interim cities en route. It's better if you have lounge access, because then you can spend your layover eating and drinking free food, sitting/napping in comfy armchairs, using a cleaner, nicer bathroom, watching TV and using the free wifi. If Taemin's flying business or first and using their lounge, he probably could even shower between stops if he wanted to!

I think there's another stop in Lima before they get to Santiago... at least he's in comfy clothes!
