More like some members didnt want to stay in JYP but wanted to carry on as GOT7. But JYPE didnt like that and said to the remaining members you can only carry on if ALL of you stay in the company (hence the pressure by releasing jinyoung's contract negotiations early in the media). So the rest of the members had no choice but to leave as they value got7 as a whole but wouldnt want to force any members to stay if they didnt want to. Plus doubt they would wanna stay after JYP mistreatment alone without the rest of the members. Just my speculation though...JYP not wanting all would be dumb, got7 are the money makers and kpop fans are big on OTP's.
