  1. Well i guess i'm not switching phone brands anytime soon. May just have to upgrade though...
  2. I know! It's just making my thirst for solohyun greater tho.
  3. Ow, that solo debut prank. Mean much? :( but the derp pics are wonderful Wtf new yorker? Ok I take back what I say about its tacky ass.
  4. I meant Hana's solo. I feel like I remember Jieun mentioning it as well. Back when I still had hope of it ever happening. It'd make sense. Wasn't there a pic of them in the studio together?
  5. I can't decide if it's her or one of the Sonamoo girls tbh. Didn't Jieun say this when she came back too tho?
  6. No one's sure from what I see. But you're probably right. These girls are never going to let us rest are they. This and Solar's collab are just the beginning of another cycle of slayage and featurings post promos. I hope THEY get some rest tho. They better go on that damn holiday and leave all their idol duties behind for a bit.
  7. I think I'm going to need to drink before watching this in full...
  8. I have been slayed. Easily her best single for me. It's very summer-dance-jam IMO. You know that one hit that just sticks around all summer and is constantly played on music channels? It's that. I love that they let her voice shine for once. Her last two singles -as much of a jam as GNK was - were quite quiet and breathy and just a little bit of a let down. This actually has some power behind it. The verses remind me of Rhianna - Where Have You Been, but only superficially.
  9. God bless you wonderful subbers. I approve of this mission 100% excellent choice Captain Solar.
  10. "A bit uncertain of what to caption YongKongByulKong's ambiguous... BEHAVIOUR." ;; Solar, rest up well! Have they said how much longer they're promoting? They're really gonna need that holiday moomoos voted for them to have.
  11. Yep, basically me all the time. It'd be really good for subtly shading someone in another place tho.
  12. Ah, the ever-awkward moment of growing up in a place where the backwards V means "fuck off". Who am I kidding, it makes me cackle like a ten year old. And I love the bowling adlib still. As for second anni project: Love Lane yes! Especially if it would be possible to work in 'we will never let you go' somewhere in there...
  13. 1 & 2. IDK if 'ruin' is a bit much, but they definitely didn't fulfill the group's (and the members') potential as they could have. They've done alright, well even, although I think a large part of that is due to the fact that they had a well-timed debut which meant they have a touch more security than groups debuting nowadays. But it's let down by the fact that Cube tends to do something... get good results... not follow up and bring something bombastic to themselves. They tried it with WYN but IIP was a rushed follow up - they should have done some sort of non-music promotions (variety, photoshoots) and crafted a more polished comeback for later in the year - and WYDT was WYN part 3. This extends to their individual promotions, with maybe the exception of Hyuna (who has been overworked for a while). Case in point: Jiyoon. Goes on IS2, has no follow ups. Goes on UPRS and actually ends up with good press. No follow up. Not even a digital single release. Her hype disappears by the time Hate turns up. Contrast with Fiestar's agency: Yezi goes on UPRS, does well, they continue with Cao Lu's increasing variety popularity to bring further attention to the group, give Yezi a solo, then comeback. They're getting nominated for firsts on shows. I think I've said this before, but part of Cube's problem is that they comeback, do minimal after promotions end, and when they should - ideally - be looking at that ever imaginary second comeback, the girls get a million individual promotions. Those individual promotions should be built up for immediately after the group promos end, ideally. Furthermore, they've done little to expose the talents of 2hyun until recently, and even that's been lackluster. Jihyun should have been on DwtS instead of Hyuna (although, I am aware that this is subject to a million things including the wants of each girl), Sohyun should be getting some sort of platform to build up her reputation as an all-round performer (featurings, variety appearances, etc). 2yoon and Hyuna are basically okay in the exposure department since they're the 'core' of 4minute's music, if you like (could still be better though). 2hyun kind of get shafted. That said, I appreciate Cube for the relative freedom they give 4minute artistically, nowadays (although sometimes I wonder if it's not just bc they can't be fucked to work for them), as well as the fact that - aside from Hyuna - the girls aren't overworked. But they need to balance downtime and worktime better. Everything's very inconsistent: See Crazy, WYN's build up and hype in comparison to Hate (and WYDT? I can't remember how well-promoted that was tbh). To me, it's a lot like a student who begins an essay really well, then gets halfway and goes 'eh I can't be fucked this'll get a pass right?' and doesn't bother to finish with the same sort of quality as they started. 3. Probably mourn for days. They got me into kpop and although I have other groups I'm really into, it'll leave a pretty big hole in my life tbh. 4. Kind of answered in 1/2: consistency, consistency, consistency. Cube flakes on a lot of momentum and promises and they need to break the cycle. Nowadays when 4minute say 'we'll be coming back this year', I'm not excited but sceptical. They need to actually push through and bring that second comeback later in the year - ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING THAT THEY'RE DOING FEB COMEBACKS LATELY. If they were coming back in June I could kind of understand, but not releasing anything from Feb onwards? Is ridiculous? I know that 4minute have some amount of assurance that they're not going to drop off the ladder but they're not SNSD. They do actually need to rely on more than their brand. I kind of think Cube should reconsider their strategy with Hyuna if they want 4minute to do well. I know she loves working and loves the fact that she gets to explore her own colour, but if they're to push 4minute as a group, I think Hyuna's solo career is hindering them a bit. Cube have never been particularly great at juggling artists from what I've seen as a 4nia. It's even worse now that they're increasing the number of groups under themselves with CLC and eventually Pentagon(???) The other option would be to promote all members individually and make 4minute a less regular thing - sort of like BEG - but IDK if Cube could manage that well enough. 5. Lmao I am not answering that
  14. Gayoon WYD letting the maknae leave the house dressed like this.
  15. I haven't watched that perf yet but I was noticing some off moments during their recordings for the shows while they were in the US. I hooe they'll get a lot of rest after promos are wrapped up. IDT they've had a sizable break since UOAY dropped. Maybe even since Ahh Oop!
  16. Was ist Deutsch? Warun spreche ich diese verrückte Sprache?
  17. Wait who is doing the rap in Follow Me... I can't tell if it's Hana or one of Sonamoo. I know Hana was photographed in the recording studio with Hyosung, right? But otoh I don't trust TS not to have scrapped it and left her basement-ed. But omg this sounds amazing. I love all the track previews *A*
  18. Through The Wire is so good.   I forgot how much I loved Jesus Walks and All Falls Down though.
  19. That's like, the last question you need to ask Mamafood.
  20. Q. How was it when Mamamoo took their first win? Park Woo Sang: I was touched but I really was just dazed. I went to the company dinner late, but when I saw Hwasa my tears came. I was very touched. Q. What do you think Mamamoo’s charm is? Park Woo Sang: Solar is really good at managing herself. She is good at keeping her words too, and she makes herself do self-modifications all the time. Moonbyul’s sense in making rap is good, and to develop herself as a rapper, she talks to me a lot too. We have been working together as well. From what I see, since her musical colors are good too, if she practices hard, she has the potential to develop well. Wheein has great born talents, so her output is good. Dancing or singing, she is overall outstanding. Hwasa has many aspects of an artist, when we work together, her creativity is great too. Because she has good sense as well, in long term, she can become an excellent musician. These two questions got me like and he gives me more fuel for my Mamaminute delusions.
