I'll admit that I can see the resemblance, but I think it's just confirmation bias. It doesn't make any sense to me why they would do a street performance in masks. The point of doing guerilla busking stuff as an unknown idol group is to get yourself and your name in front of as many people as possible. Wearing masks defeats the purpose. Also given the usual Hongdae crowd I think it's unlikely that no one would have recognized them at all, and none of the Korean fans are discussing it on SNS.

I don't think it's them. Random groups of students do dance covers in Hongdae every day, so you can't assume it's them just because some girls in masks were doing an EXO dance cover.

I think sometimes they do, but I wouldn't get your hopes up that anyone will sub this one in English.

Note that my Korean is bad so some of this might be wrong, but the highlights of that video are: MC plays a game to see if the members know their internet/texting slang and gives Hayoung the initials for "asshole", Hayoung clearly knows what it means but doesn't say it, MC makes a joke saying he meant "applause" (which has the same initials in Korean). MC asks about Hayoung's ideal type of guy and she says since she just naturally does aegyo a lot without thinking about it, it would have to be a guy that is ok with that. Hayoung does a popular aegyo where people talk like a baby who just had a scary dream (there was video of a baby doing this that went viral in Korea) Hayoung leaves nice a video message for her brother in the US that she misses a lot Hayoung talks about how they can't really go out and stay out late with friends because they are so busy with work and studying, MC makes a joke accusation that she sounds like she's not a very fun friend, Hayoung makes a joke accusation about the MC being the kind of guy who probably goes out with a girl and doesn't get her home until the next morning At the end while they are eating he asks Hayoung how she feels about fans who like other groups besides Playback, and the members basically say they are fine with Playback fans going to other groups events and such while Playback isn't promoting again my Korean is bad so some of this is probably wrong

It's difficult for rookie groups to get on to the network (weekend) music shows unless they are from a company with a lot of money. The shows are shorter than the weekday cable shows, so they have fewer spots for groups to fill. Major companies/popular groups get priority over everyone else, since in the end the shows are really just about TV ratings. No one in Korea watches music shows to see a group like Playback, they watch to see <insert SM/YG/JYP group here>.

There are whispers among some of the Korean fans that Love Us is probably dead. All 4 members removed the loveus_ from their SNS account names, and Migyo and Euna's instagram profiles both have links to their personal fan cafe's rather than the group's fan cafe.

I think she did cut her hair, but for whatever reason it looks like they filmed the happy new year video before the christmas one so her shorter haircut isn't in the new years video.

I made the same mistake at first too, but Yena's real name is Yoon-ji Lee (ì´ìœ¤ì§€) not Yoo-jin Lee.

At the teatime fanmeet we asked the members about the company merger, and they basically said that nothing has changed for them since it happened, and they don't expect it to really affect them at all with regard to how they are managed. Also they haven't met/talked to sica or her boyfriend or anyone else like that.

So Playback's company (Clear Company) was acquired by Coridel, the company owned by Tyler Kwon (ex-SNSD member Jessica Jung's boyfriend).

Based on their SNS posts Yujin still hasn't rejoined the members. So probably no comeback until next year.

That is almost definitely not real, since up until earlier yesterday that account was named STARSHIP_GIRLS and was tweeting what was supposed to be stuff about starship's new girl group that is debuting in 2016, with what I'm pretty sure were the same pictures they are using now.

All the members are good bias choices and they all make a real effort to engage with their fans in person.

HJY is awesome to see live. Video is kind of long but you can skip the talking bits in the middle (13:50-26:05) which are probably only interesting for students at that university.
