It's been 12 hours and I'm still in disbelief at how we pulled off that win against Cardiff. It feels like all the built-up bad luck we had go against us this season just completely balanced out in the space of 10 minutes. Even though we're only one point back of third, I still have almost no confidence that we'll finish in top 4. I'm not so stupid as to believe we can actually make top 4 on our own merit at this rate. Arsenal and United are just better than us and Tottenham have a relatively easy run-in. It's so irritating because if we didn't fuck up against Everton, we'd be two points clear of 5th. So many matches this season which I can point out and say "we should've won that".

First world problem: My least favourite thing about spring is that I have to bring a jacket with me because it's chilly in the morning but then when I eventually have to go home, it's too warm to wear it without being uncomfortable so I have to awkwardly carry it on my way home, because there's nowhere else to put it.

Fuck I just saw the Nurkić injury, that's heartbreaking. I've heard that you can hear the break but I'm not going to listen to that, it's already horrible enough without sound... I reckon there will be riots if they get Zion

List of concerns I have with Chelsea's squad: - New a new striker since Higuain has been disappointing (can be alleviated with Abraham, but we still need to get a legitimately good striker) - Need a new left back since Alonso is terrible - Need a Jorginho backup/rotation option since he plays like every match with no rest, idk enough about Mount to know if he can do that or if he's even ready to - Need a LCM, Barkley and Kovacic are just inadequate - wtf happens when Hazard leaves, imagine if we can't replace him because of a transfer ban - Probably need a new centre back, we can probably integrate Tomori for that though if worst comes to worst - Probably need a new right back, we should also integrate Reece James (please) - Seems very likely that we'll miss out on CL again smh ISTG IF WE CAN'T BUY THIS SUMMER

wow just finished Danganronpa V3, I went in knowing the ending was controversial with no idea why, but I did not expect that at all... I totally understand why some people hate it and want it to burn in hell, it can ruin the entire series for someone if they take it the wrong way, but I personally liked it. It's really clever.

Congratulations United, I'm happy for you I'm also happy that Courtois is getting shit on, none of the four goals were his fault, but I'm still laughing at him

Leafs are my second team, but Leafs-Islanders was definitely the funniest game I've watched this season Funniest part was during the video tribute when they showed him with the disabled children and you could hear booing and "asshole" chants, Islanders fans are ruthless lmao

My sister being an entitled, ungrateful bitch, what's new. Why do I even try with her, honestly.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Takeaways from the match now that my laughing fit has finally stopped: I thought the starting lineup was garbage and we'd be lucky to get a draw lol Sarri is really starting to earn the trust of Chelsea fans back and I'm overjoyed about it. Pedro and Alonso showed they are actually still capable of playing professional football, especially Pedro in the second half. Kovacic, Hazard, Kante, Jorginho, Willian, Pedro, and Higuain executed that high-pressing to near-perfection. I don't want to hear any more people say Kante is being wasted, because it's nonsense. He was probably the best Chelsea player today besides Pedro. Back line was a wall, Luiz and Rudiger were especially great. Those two had Kane in their pockets. Tottenham were not very good today. Outside of that 20 minute spell in the first half, they never looked dangerous. Like they didn't even have a single shot on target besides Trippier's brilliant finish. Not many things can make me happier than beating Tottenham. I don't want to hear anything about that overblown Kepa situation anymore. Sorry, but the drama is over, there's nothing left for the media to milk. Sarri and the club handled it as well as they possibly could imo.

Now everyone can stfu about "sArRi OuT" for a bit since he did everything right today even if we didn't win. Say what you want about him, but there's really nothing to criticize him for. He gave CHO and RLC minutes, made the right tactical choices, showed flexibility, showed great game management, and the players he chose played well. I think pushing one of the best teams in Europe with this inferior squad should buy him more time. Obviously he'll go back to his normal tactics eventually but I'm happy that he showed he can be flexible.

I really feel palpable disdain for anyone who goes to the quiet section of the library and makes noise, seriously I just want to read or study, not hear you talk about your day or how funny something is

Yeah, not a bad deal for Ottawa tbh, potentially two first rounders is pretty good considering the circumstances. Really wonder how much Stone will go for now that Panarin's off the market and Duchene probably just set the price for a highly-desired rental forward...

Obviously Sarri deserves his fair share of blame, but the board and squad are both bigger problems than him. I can't blame the board for hiring him and I'll maintain up and down that Sarri can definitely work out if he's given the resources and players he wants. As frustrating as he can be, I don't know how anyone can expect much more when the team he's working with is full of deadwood outside of a select few. We need a new a LB, RB, LCM, and maybe a ST, LW, and CB too. Abramovich still cares about the club but iirc the circumstances out of his control and that's probably why he's rumoured to be looking to sell. We're not super reliant on his cash injections anymore, and we can still spend big this summer if we offload deadwood and loan players with no future to clear up salaries and bring in a bit more money. We can't replace the board so the "obvious AND somewhat realistic" move would be getting a DoF. That won't solve everything of course, but it's a good start.

lol I'd be happy if we can just win a round this year tbh, I've only watched this team win one playoff round (I actually don't remember watching the 2004 run, I don't know if I was just too young or if my brain has repressed it). As fun as a rematch with Tampa sounds, I don't think my heart could handle the stress that that series would give me... the trauma from losing might be enough for me to stop watching hockey lmao
-
I still want him to stay tbh, although he has been getting more and more difficult to defend. He has his major flaws such as being outrageously stubborn and lack of rotation, but sacking him would sum up everything wrong with the club. Our problems go much deeper than the coach; our current squad is totally incapable of playing Sarriball and needs a massive shakeup and the board is full of useless dolts. We all acknowledged before the season that it would take at least a year and a summer transfer window for Sarriball to really come into fruition and now that we've hit a rough patch of form, a lot of people are already calling for his head. Then those people name stupid replacement options like Lampard, Blanc, or Zidane (lol). It would send a message to all managers that we don't really care about building a long-term project, and that if you don't get immediate results, your job will be on the line. No manager worth their salt would want to coach Chelsea.

Tampa are so good it's unfair, they have no weaknesses. They have everything. If they don't win the cup this year then it's a massive failure imo Seeing those Stanley Cup champions banners makes me jealous, all we have are empty achievements like "Smythe Division champions" to go with our one Stanley Cup, almost all of it from the 1980s with the odd "Pacific Division champion" from the 90s or 00s. Sums up our franchise well tbh, mediocrity. Game was entertaining though, it was really tense. Still shocked that Mike Smith and Derek Ryan were both really good that day.

Dortmund were missing Reus, Alcacer, Piszczek, Akanji, and Weigl, of course they got shit on. Why should anyone expect anything else, they were missing almost their entire first team attack, a starting midfielder, and probably their best CB and RB. Yes, Favre didn't do himself any favours with his choices but still, they were worse off than Tottenham.
