I find it to be complete bullshit that just because my sister is always a complete asshole to everyone in the family and my parents are used to it, she's essentially allowed to act out without any consequences (unless she goes totally overboard). Okay I legitimately JUST found out about Poch being sacked, wtf. I thought five and a half years of good work would buy him at least until the new year to fix things, but I get it, it's obvious he can't motivate the players anymore and everyone knows it's best to move on.

What is this timing though, why sack him near the end of the international break and not after the draw with Sheff Utd. You're telling me Spurs have a replacement lined up to take over within four days?

I'll start:

Red Notice by Bill Browder: 5/10
The story is very interesting, unfortunately I really dislike the way its told. The first half wasn't particularly interesting to me, which coupled with his way of writing made me really consider just giving up on the book. The second half was definitely better, the story was fascinating and a lot of the characters introduced are actually interesting, although I found it hard to sympathise with him considering how he made his fortune (I do feel sympathy towards his lawyer though). The writing is just so bad however, I really dislike Browder's tone. He comes off as very 'holier-than-thou' and obviously has a very high opinion of himself. The way Browder describes "good" people and "bad" people is just laughable, cartoonish Disney-esque descriptions with sweeping generalisations and stereotypes (e.g. bad guys are ugly). Also it's just stupid how he describes every woman by how attractive they are to him and puts way too much detail into it, like jfc who cares, just move on. There's a very good book hidden here, but the way its written just makes me wish a real author wrote this and actually fulfilled the potential. Disappointing, the story saved it from being something I would abandon after the first few chapters.

I'm not a United fan so maybe I'm completely wrong, but maybe the board is keeping him in as a sort of "yes man" who won't go against their word (like Mourinho did) or "shield" to distract from how incompetent they are? It seems like something Woodward would do tbh. Then there's also the question of what to do if they sack him before the season ends, like who's even available? They could hire an interim and wait until the summer... but then who would be available in the summer?
