So, Wonder Girl's comeback has been confirmed for "past July" and they have shot their MV... With G Soul coming back in 5 days too, I wonder where GOT7's comeback stands now. Hopefully mid July? By the way, hello! It's my first time posting here! I've been following JJ Project since Dream High 2 and instantly fell in love with Junior. When GOT7 debuted, I also fell for Mark (but they are all so perfect!). So yep, I'm Markjin biased!

Regarding that, I think she's actually stronger than we think. As I said, yes she's sensitive but she also seems strong willed. She talked in the show about how people would make fun of her looks and basically bullied her during her childhood for being half Canadian, yet she pulled through and is the bubbly and happy Somi that we know in the show. If anything, I trust her the most to cope with netizen possible backlash...

I already said which role she can take and why I would add her to the lineup, if you want to know you just need to backtrack my posts. What I'm trying to tell you here is that I won't fight with people who think she isn't needed in a 7 member lineup because everyone is entitled to their opinions and I'm unbiased enough to understand why people may not include her in their lineup. And you need to understand and respect that too.

Because the final lineup is 7 people, if you read lineups that add one or two members, Mina is often part of the extra 1-2 members. I don't even think people are bitter, there just are 12 girls, 7 spots and for many she falls in that 8th or 9th spot. Right now, maybe you should step away from this thread, take a deep breath because you sound like the bitter one that people aren't all over her like you wished she was (and I'm saying that and she's in my lineup, it's just important to let everybody have the right to their own opinions)

This. I would've loved to see her do something more challenging (like Chaeryung's dance for instance) to be able to judge properly her dancing. But so far, I don't think she fit the main dancer role from what I've seen. She sure can pose and do sharp movements but there's more to that when dancing

It's not like she sucks in anything, so if she does I would be happy for her (and also happy period because I like her). I think if she makes it in, it would be interesting to watch her grow from a kid with good skills to a very good skilled and all rounder young lady (because I think she's quite promising). It will be like watching Taemin, Minzy and Dongho grow all over. It was interesting to see how they grew and matured.

I personally am part of those who don't hate Minyoung but still don't think she's ready for the group. You can read what the user above you said or what I said in my little essay to understand. It has nothing to do with Jiwon (though with Jiwon out of the way it's one less competitor for the spot) and also nothing to do with "hating" her. It's about worrying about if she truly can carry a group vocally with what she has shown in the show (and also comparing her with Jihyo who is much more stable vocally and could carry the group without worries). I know you haven't mentioned hating/bashing, but I wished people would stop throwing the world "hate" just because we don't think Minyoung is ready to be main vocalist... Some people obviously don't like her, but others actually have reasons (other than preferring another member) to think that she isn't ready to be a main vocalist and it's not like Minyoung proved us wrong completely. She's far from her "this girl is on fire" mess, but she's not there yet in my opinion. I never thought of Jihyo as a main vocalist possibility in the beginning, just a lead one, but now, when I look at it, I think Jihyo is more stable than her and Jihyo showed we don't need to worry about voice cracking, missing technical stuff and such. Because honestly, if Minyoung makes a mistake, in the end, people will say "their vocalist suck". I don't want people to say that about Twice. That's why, as a fan, I say that I would prefer Jihyo over Minyoung as a main vocalist. Is this hate or bashing? No, it's an opinion.

Maybe people were expecting more from her, so expectations maybe ruined it a bit for her. I read the comments before watching the performances, so I was expecting far less from the whole team, it probably did the opposite effect. And hell yeah! Alright so I don't know why but I suddenly wanted to write a bit on my opinions after watching the performances. First, I was expecting WORSE from many users comments (and sometimes more, with Hush for instance). But I must say,this episode made me change my opinion quit a bit on many of the girls. Going to put everything on spoiler because wow this turned into an essay with my opinion on all the girls MAJOR A Major B Minor A Minor B So now, based on everything I have explained/observed/felt, here is the lineup I would like to see (100% sure that they will be in) Nayeon Jungyeon Jihyo (90% sure she will be in) Chaeyoung (Completely unsure but a girl can dream) Tzuyu Mina Somi

I think that's interesting considering she was in kids team with Chaeyoung, Jiwon, Tzuyu and Somi (if I remember clearly), so i thought she would stick with those girls. I thought Chaeyoung and her would have a nice connection I actually.

Remember how everybody used to think that the Nayeon, Jungyeon and Tzuyu combo would be an overkill because of their popularity... But now it seems they ended up losing. And... A crazy speculation/theory:

I'm also getting worried for Tzuyu... I was pretty sure she would be in, but if her team lost twice, JYPe would never eliminate Nayeon or Jungyeon. She would be called the "weakest link". This would be so unfair... I never thought we would come to this possible scenario...

I'm laughing, because, here I am defending Tzuyu and somehow I get downvoted. I don't get why the poor girl gets so much hate on here, yet people won't admit that she does and make it seem like it's okay to bash her??

So happy to see that she has a thread! She caught my attention in one of Stop Stop It teasers. I was happy to see her in sixteen and pleasantly surprised by her talent! I've been rooting for her in Twice from the beginning! I have lots of hopes she will make it in

I've been lurking for a while but never added to the conversation due to being part of the "minority" opinion. But I wanted to reply to the why would he explain letting Momo go because I have my theory on this: When "foreigners" are added to the group, they are supposed to be a plus value to the group (hear here "stan attractors"). If Miss A have 2 Chinese members it was to raise their value in the Chinese market. The girls release their songs in China and have activities in China but do nothing in Japan for instance. GOT7, thanks to Bambam, have a large fanbase in Thailand and do release exclusive versions in Thailand for their albums. They have had a lot of appearances in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan due to Jackson and Mark's presence. Also, Mark, within the fandom, is probably the most popular member in Korea (I say within the fandom, not with the general public) and has the most fansites within GOT7. Jackson is a very successful foreigner and loved by the general public. Bambam also gets a lot of appearances on his own (more than Yugyeom and Youngjae who are Korean members). We can see here how the three foreign members of GOT7 add a plus value to the group (besides their talents). That voting app isn't as useless as we think it is in my opinion. Not counting Somi, there are 5 foreign possible members. Three of them are in the top 7 while Momo (and Natty, but the topic here isn't about Natty) is way down there. I don't think 3 Japanese members is possible. It would be OT4 + 3 Japanese members? I don't believe in this. So the question is who within the 3 Japanese members would bring in the fans/plus value (without taking into account their talents)? This voting app clearly show that Sana and Mina are more supported by the Korean market than Momo. And this is why JYPe (I don't think we can say JYP only, because he's not the only one who makes the decisions, he has advisers, marketing team and such, that's why I say JYPentertainment as a whole) can offer to let go of Momo for Twice. Momo is more popular in the International Fanbase or, should I say, Westerner Fanbase. But where are they going to make their money with Twice? Certainly not in Europe and America. The markets they will want to conquer will be Korea, Japan and either China or Thailand. Since Japan is also getting over saturated with kpop acts (and the success that TVXQ, BoA and Kara have known are now hard to reach over there). it is better for the two future groups to have openings in other Asian countries. I think no matter how good Momo is at dancing, if the markets they want to exploit don't show interest in her, well it won't work out. At least, even if she gets eliminated, she's not getting kicked out of the company and will have another chance to debut in the future (maybe as a leader, that could work well for her) EDIT : Clearly I forgot to say how it would translate. They could say no matter how good she is in dancing, she wasn't able to show her full potential/herself/her attractiveness if I can say... Which goes directly with her the critique she gets about her expressions
