Yeah, it's only "ideally" which is next to "not happening". Lovelyz leaving the company would be a nail to Woollim's coffin. Golden Child and Woohyun would barely keep them afloat if they continue mismanaging their artists. I'm a big fan of Woollim groups and there's no doubt Woollim has a magical eye for choosing their idols and music. I can confidently say they're the company who produce the best live performers in Kpop... But if they keep on being shitty and Lovelyz, their ONLY remaining group that regularly charts, ends up leaving, they can kiss their money goodbye. It's unlikely but I hope Lee Jungyeop would suddenly wake up and realize Lovelyz deserves better.

This November, Lovelyz's contracts will be ending and there hasn't been news as to who will leave Woollim or who will renew. As lunatic as it may sound, I do hope Lovelyz members stay complete in Woollim after a long series of push & pull discussions... maybe then Woollim will figure out how to do their jobs (ideally). I don't see Lovelyz continuing as a group like normal if any member leave the company despite saying they'll continue promotions only under different companies. Babysoul will stay at Woollim. Currently, Babysoul and Woohyun are the oldest artists in Woollim and I think if Soul got promoted as a solo artist (not in an idol type of way), she has a shot at success. JIN would either stay at Woollim, if not, she'll quit being a singer. Out of all the members, she's the most mistreated and exhausted. I can see Jiae, Jisoo, Kei, Sujeong, and Yein leaving Woollim for a mid-sized company and continue promoting as solo singers but with acting and other types of entertainment on the side. Ambiguous, if put into words. I think among the five, Jiae would be the most sought after specially since she has an actress feel and is one of the most popular members despite virtually being ignored by Woollim. It always surprises me how Jiae is on the brands whatever list despite only having a radio show. At the same time, I can see them staying at Woollim and promote individually too. Now... Mijoo... Woollim's primary source of income. They'd probably do all they can to keep Mijoo but she's the one I'm sure she would leave. I bet since the beginning of the year she's already receiving TONS of offers and I wouldn't be too surprised if considerably big companies would want to hire her. Mijoo always voiced out that she is an idol but doesn't sing, no albums, no comebacks, and always begged for a solo debut but Woollim would not let her. Now if there's one thing that could keep Lovelyz intact as eight in Woollim is if the company uses the group itself and promotions as leverage. Lovelyz's bond is genuine. I haven't seen a girl group who would post/story screenshots of their performances and tag all members with captions like "I miss you all" as much as them. Fans want a Lovelyz comeback but we know Lovelyz members want that more. Mijoo is non-arguably the biggest variety idol but even she knows she's a Lovelyz member through and through. It's very unlikely that all members leave, like INFINITE there would at least be one to remain and keep the name of Lovelyz. Woollim sucks but they won't cockblock the girls from using the name as long as there's probably at least one under the company. They'd probably say "We'll not disband" but all they'd have will be special singles with a 2 year interval. By the way, it's no news that the company is failing Lovelyz big time, but I really believe that Lovelyz should come back right now. They went viral numerous times across their hiatus, Jiae's instagram photos are blowing up, everyone already forgot about Sixth Sense (thanks tvN), and Mijoo brought nothing but hype to the group. I call their comeback would be their most successful yet. TLDR Woollim fuck you

I really loved it If you haven't heard nor had a background about Yuri then you may think this is a good debut but I agree that if you've been aware of her explosive vocals in IZ*ONE's songs, this is underwhelming (vocally). But I'm such a sucker for songs like IU's 23 or Song Jieun's Pretty Age 25 and this is exactly right at my alley. I've had reservations with the hook(?) of the chorus but now I'm addicted to it. Would've loved it way more if they styled Yuri in a look that is straight up from IZ*ONE's last single though.

I think the song's lyrics are pretty general in the sense of "be yourself" "be confident" and I think it also applies to the LGBT. HOWEVER, the allusion to Singing In The Rain's MV where Bomin ends up seemingly longing for Joochan who is in a relationship and now where he looks pretty intimate with Jibeom and the symbol of the camcorder (another SITR MV symbolism), it is highly possible that it's what they're going for. It can be interpreted in a way that Joochan liked someone else so Bomin found himself a Jibeom.

After the disappointment that is Ra Pam Pam (Woollim level disappointment, meaning a normal k-pop "wow" moment), Golden Child made a comeback with a repackage titled "DDARA". The MV looks low-budgeted but it doesn't look that cheap because girl, those visuals look expensive! Though their self-made music videos Singing In The Rain and GAME looks better.. What really impressed me so much is the song. DDARA is sick! It's so damn good! It probably is on top of my list along with Pump It Up and Wannabe. It's a sound that seems familiar to Golcha yet something they haven't done before. Today was a bloodbath... for boys, if we include girls it'd be a massacre... but IMO, Golden Child and their low-budget MV for DDARA wins October 5 for me (which is not surprising for you but I really expected to like Woodz's better). PS I love Sungyoon but they should've used this as thumbnail instead:

this is golcha's cheapest mv but i don't really mind it because the boys look STUNNING

And he surprisingly did it perfectly I mean, Kangmin is a good singer but he's not the best and he's more of a visual and a dancer in Verivery. I'm just surprised he did THIS well and apparently the rest of the fandom too. Actually at first I thought he was lipsyncing since it sounds really similar to Kim Jongkook's voice but no! It's his real singing voice! Jellyfish has probably one of the greatest track records when it comes to producing/managing amazing vocalists (Park Hyoshin, Sung Sikyung, Seo Inguk, VIXX, Gugudan, Verivery) but I'm really amazed by how they're able to refine rough diamonds into talented singers like how they did with Hyuk, Hongbin, Yongseung, and now Kangmin...

Turns out making dumb videos people barely watch that gets me nothing in return whatsoever is this fun....

SHE KILLED IT! This type of concept would've been wayyyyyy better for her solo debut rather than Tiger Eyes. -
She has one! https://www.instagram.com/queen.chu_s/

Mijoo, non-arguably the most popular variety idol right now, is currently appearing on MBC variety show Hangout With Yoo. Along with her are the show's host, Yoo Jaesuk, and fellow guests Haha, Jeong Junha, and Shin Bongsun. I've been keeping up with her HWY episodes (she's been in it for 5 episodes now) and even as a long time fan, I'm still amazed by Mijoo. Of course she's hardworking (we know that), she's funny (we know that), and she's really energetic (we know that), but what amazed me is on Episode 106, Shin Bongsun left early due to conflicting schedules which leaves Yoo Jaesuk, Jeong Junha, Haha, and Mijoo to carry on the show. Read that again... Mijoo is with Yoo Jaesuk, Jeong Junha, and Haha- three of the Infinite Challenge longtime cast members. Many may not be familiar with IC since it's not as popular as Running Man internationally but locally, IC was the biggest entertainment show of its time... and the three gentlemen Mijoo did a show with are three of the four longtime cast members of IC who are her seniors by DECADES. But of course since she's part of the "Yoo Line", with Yoo Jaesuk backing her up, landing a guesting wouldn't be that hard. However, what really made Mijoo's talent shine is that even with those three, she NEVER was out of place. She adapted with the three veterans masterfully without requiring them to take care of her just to let her secure screen time. Yoo Jaesuk is called the "Nation's MC" for no reason. Whenever he's hosting a show, Yoo Jaesuk would take care of guests who aren't blending in/won't get much screentime by initiating small talks with them BUT he did not even have to do that for Mijoo at all. Mijoo secured her own screentime by adapting with the cast perfectly and her extraordinary wit and charm. I really suck at explaining but usually when idols or actors (and sometimes even comedians) are put together with veterans like the IC cast, they end up being all quiet, shy, and let's say... almost dead weight. Take Jo Yoonhee and her short-lived Happy Together hosting for example. But Mijoo... really... she's truly one of a kind. I have no words for her. She IS the moment.

[netizenkore] Is there anything that only you find cringy?
SLY replied to bye-bye's topic in Netizen Nation
I absolutely hate YouTube comments like "Popular opinion:_______" "Unpopular opinion:________" "True fact:__________" even when it's literally not. I saw a comment of that once in Golden Child's BALLAD music video and of the top comments is "Popular Opinion: This song is definitely a title track worthy." when it's literally anything but title track worthy..... -

Lol no for context, the permanent panelists DO know Yeonho he was literally part of the panel the episode filmed prior and the panel recognized him plus there are a bunch of rookie idols who debuted later than Verivery there -
Tag (main rapper) and Seungmin (lead vocal) were singing Next Level (as fans requested) and were doing pretty good until Ningning's part came. The music is in the original key so they weren't able to sing it AT ALL. Meanwhile, during this, Joochan (main vocal) was just dancing, eating, and goofing from the seats. After hearing how Baetag weren't able to sing the high parts, he came to the rescue and started singing Winter's lines... in its original key! It wasn't perfect specially since it's impromptu but ever since watching it the first time, I thought Joochan was so damn cool for this.
