I totally agree, but I generally hate the girls' stylists though. They could be dressed so much better than they are! Ugh let me dress them for events and I'll do better She's definitely worn those shoes to a different event before, sometimes I think that she's such a tomboy she can't walk in heels well so there are only a few that are comfortable for her to wear but are also tall enough cause she's so short lol. THose look like they are at least 6 in with platform

She's definitely chubbier than the average idol, but compared to a normal person? Not chubby at all. She's also short haha. But I think she looks like a real girl, so it's cool. They just need to style her a little better. Anyway, that duet with The One....was so good. He's a pretty famous vocal trainer in Korea (I think he trained for SM? Taeyeon and DBSK, etc) and is really respected and she totally held her own - at the end he kind of smiled and nodded his head at her, I take that as he approved of her performance lol

Chorong is quite popular in Korea (relatively speaking of course) and is marketable - I would argue that she is actually the 2nd visual. This is not the best measure, but Eunji/Chorong/Bomi/Naeun have all been voted in more than once in those Weekly Idol rankings, while the others haven't showed up yet. Namjoo isn't as popular but she's a decent vocalist and is quite loud/outgoing and super fanservicey, and would not have a problem on variety. The thing with Hayoung is that she is a little shy but has that spacey "4D" thing about her, and so I think they look at her like the 2nd Dongwoon once she matures - sucking in vocals at debut but will improve, plus the unique look/old maknae thing. Her and Namjoo also always do the self-cameras in APN. She also looks a lot like Gyuri, who is generally considered quite pretty by the public. I would have rather Yookyung stayed, but if I had to choose I would easily say that she was the least marketable, other than being just a plain sweet girl. Maybe they were hoping for her to eventually break out of her shell or drastically improve in vocals or something, but she would have always been considered a filler member by the public.

Lol who wants to change topics? Why are the girls so painfully shy? I have yet to see Chorong or Naeun talk to anyone that isn't from Cube. Bomi and Hayoung are only a little bit better. Namjoo and Eunji are the only ones that know how to talk to boys. 91 line and Chocoballs and it's so cute to see them have a big circle of close friends...I want that for Apink too lol

Lol everytime you say HongPapa, I read it as CUBE's Papa Hong and get confused I also don't think it's like T-ara at all. But you know how rumors spiral out of control in Korea.

They do have a nicer dorm compared to other rookie groups, definitely. 2NE1's dorm at debut was just as nice or nicer though, but they're in YG so nobody cares. Also a lot of groups live in or near Gangnam/Cheongdam which should be a lot more expensive. Nobody will know for sure unless either side actually release some detailed information though. I'm kind of tired of hearing about this dorm stuff, but whatever I'll just speculate in this thread: Renting in Korea is a lot different from other places - in many cases you put down this HUGE deposit that the landlord keeps and then returns to you after you move out. It could be that he just wanted his daughter to stay in a nice place (cause you know, she already had a good standard of living before) and put down the deposit money because he could afford it while the company pays the monthly rent - no loss on his part cause once they move out it gets returned. It just doesn't make sense that he would just pay for things so freely or without some contract, in which case I'd expect to see a lawsuit coming. Either way, there's still no actual evidence that he paid for it. I get the vibe from some (esp Eunji when I see her family and how she seriously asked her mom where she got the money when she made food for them+APN staff) that they may not have been well off growing up...I don't think they would act like princesses and demand a nice place, so what's the point of having a nice dorm?

I don't think most other companies are any better though, it's just that this case they were stupid enough to do this with someone who has a very educated and powerful parent. Yeah, I just saw this article on the actor Kang Ji Hwan and how it's hard for him to get work cause his ex-company basically is cockblocking him all the time. They can't leave without a legal reason like not getting paid or something.

Haha pretty much I know she's not the best but I think that Eunji @ debut was even better than Taeyeon/Hyorin/Luna @ debut (being unbiased they have much more experience and improved since then so it's fair to say they are a little better than her now), so I put her in the not-normal category Namjoo could be that good in a couple years if she trains intensively, but of course that really depends on the vocal coaching she gets. It's probably not gonna happen that way, but I'd like to think there's always the potential for it! Then again if Eunji also improves while Namjoo improves, she's not gonna catch up lol

I didn't mean that, just saying that she's still very young and has time to improve but she has the most potential in the group to be on a level to do Eunji's lines if she has to miss a perf - I love Bomi, but she strains like crazy to reach the high notes. Eunji's not normal.

If the new member is taking YK's lines, then I'd rather it still sound like English when she talks or else it will just be awkward? But getting a good vocalist would be better than getting a mediocre one - Namjoo has loads of potential (she's only 18) but she is still not ready to take on main vocal. And when Eunji was out, Bomi got her lines but you could still hear Eunji's voice on the backtrack. Hara does a pretty good job of being the visual though, even if she can't sing.

People need to seriously shut up with the YK's father paid for Apink's dorm and for all of their stuff crap. They are treating it as fact when there is absolutely no evidence for that.

Someone said that an associate of her father's confirmed the twitter account. Apparently he posted the old stuff on Wagle, then the new tweets came from a newly created Twitter account (@hajonghong) - no confirmation directly from the father himself or from YK. My personal theory is that ACube released her and they originally agreed on saying it was for school reasons - but then when the news came out and everybody started hating on poor YK and putting the blame on her for special treatment/being untalented or ugly/the other BS, YK's dad got really mad (rightfully) and wanted the company to take full responsibility for it, which includes taking her back = which is basically saying if she's back in that means she's NOT untalented or ugly. But he's kind of making it worse IMO. Does he think she's going to come back and everything is going to be peachy after this drama? Only way this could work out is if she returns and the entire group moves to a different company (or he sets one up for them LOL), which isn't going to happen seeing as how the other 6 are under contract and haven't made enough money to cover their training costs, much less fight against their company.
