Tbh I don't think there's as much competition there...be more worried about a breakout artist from The Voice or other singing competition that is releasing music that the public loves and that is critically praised. Coridel is nowhere close to SM in the level and quality of production and marketing and has like no experience with producing albums - I don't think Jessica's album will be that good because of the company. And Tiffany isn't as established as Taeyeon as a soloist or a singer.

Loen isn't helping at all with the marketing and promotion - they wouldn't really have a say in these operations. What they would help with is cash flow so to pay for directors, producers, etc. The way the solo has been promoted is pretty similar to Apink's last comeback with the timing and release of information, tbh; possibly the only thing they are helping with is how fast the songs are being released on international sites. But I agree the move has been all along to have Eunji solo before the comeback to bring attention to the group when they return

talking more about her approach to fashion. personally i think the way she was brought up and her attitude in apink news says a lot, her off camera fashion, even the type of posts on her instagram and so on. attendance at fashion shows don't really mean that much, but naeun was on her phone because in other pictures, you could tell that she was filming and taking photos the whole time.

Magazines like a certain aesthetic too. If you aren't considered pretty by Korea's beauty standards, then you're sexy or it's about the clothes and the body and the overall feeling. Eunji isn't really a model - she's not that great at modeling tbh, nor does she seem to care much about high fashion. At least not the way Chorong and Naeun do - it's pretty obvious that both of them like it and are interested in going that route. Eunji's comfortable in her own skin and she wears what she wants, which is awesome but I can understand why she doesn't get solo photoshoots. Most of the shoots she had in the past were more like features and interviews (with a photoshoot attached), rather than pure beauty or fashion photoshoots.

where eunji really shines is in variety, acting, and singing. i'd rather her pick up those types of projects than do a few solo magazine photoshoots. we all think she's beautiful but she don't really fit korea's beauty standard and that's just the cold hard truth. she had solo photoshoots because she was insanely popular and had crazy buzz during 2012-2013, and while she's still established and very popular, she's not popular for her looks - she's popular for her talent and personality.

i don't know, i somehow get the feeling that the title track is going to have a singer-songwriter indie feel to go with the spring season. looking at eunji's past song recommendations, she's also picked a lot of less famous indie artists plus the woman she took a selfie with on her instagram (at the fashion show) is a huge k-indie artist so i know she's a fan. i also hope there's at least a couple of really powerful songs on the album that show off her vocals. i really want her to make songs like jaurim though (and i also know that she's a big fan of kim yoonah).

It wasn't a merger and yes, LOEN was an investor. I guess that could indirectly change management because they now should have more money to do things, but it still is ultimately up to Plan A as to the details of their strategy. I think the main problem with Plan A is that they don't push boundaries, although I feel that is necessary for true growth. Apink does so so well for a group not from the Big 3 - and sometimes I think Plan A are like well, what we have been doing is working because they ARE successful and make money, so we don't have to work with different producers or change stylists or MV directors or whatever. Do they even have a vocal coach for Eunji??? I'm worried that they don't - she's already great, but think about how absolutely amazing she would be with top vocal training. I'm talking like Lena Park levels of amazing.

Lol. Fans are absolutely greedy. It's the first solo project - I think you are allowed to do that. Nobody is even blaming Naeun or the other members, just Plan A's marketing and promoting strategy. People are so quick to point out that "oh, they are an anti" but it's completely justified as long as they aren't hating on another member, which is NOT what I've seen has been happening. By releasing Eunji's solo and the fan song consecutively, the company is subconsciously pitting Eunji up against the group. Unless the fan song is released for free on youtube or the fancafe (in which case there will be no problems), they WILL be competing on streaming charts like Melon. For Apink fans who want the fan song to do well on its own, well, Eunji's solo MAY impact that and vice versa. Let's say Namjoo released her first solo OST - and it was released the day after Apink's comeback. The OST isn't promoted, no performances are scheduled, it's solely for the drama. What would you say then? The point of a solo is to promote a person as an individual. For a solo to make sense and to work, there should be some distance from the group. Like, what's the point if Eunji's solo song was basically an Apink song (in style and color) that just happened to be entirely sung by Eunji? Worst idea ever. Same with the MV and featurings. The strategy doesn't make sense to me.

No, pretty sure she'll be part of the cast for like 5 episodes or something like that. Usually idols don't stay for too long due to their schedules - like if you look at this season's cast Jota and Sandeul are going to be around for a few episodes and then Seolhyun and Chansung are replacing them if I'm not mistaken. I've been watching recently because of Jota and also this season's ratings have gone up, so hopefully when Hayoung's on it maintains it's good ratings. It's really the cast that makes or breaks the show though. Anyway, I think this is pretty clear that Apink won't come back in April.

I went to an arts high school. She's decent at them, since she probably hasn't played for very long. Drums are quite easy to learn but very hard to master, especially if you're rhythmically inclined. Since she's a good dancer, Bomi probably has a good innate sense of rhythm and was able to learn the basics quickly. She's also an athlete and so she is very coordinated so that all helps a lot with the drums! But we haven't seen her improvise on the drums yet, so it's hard to know how good she is. Most people will tell you that the instrument that is helps the most with music theory and composition and helps you learn all other instruments is probably piano. You can get by without reading sheet music on drums and guitar for a bit but not with piano.

they are fixed cast. the show isn't huge or anything, but i think it's been on tv for a long time so it's big enough? and i guess enough to have a press conference for. eunji, naeun, chorong all had lots of fan support like this for their drama press conferences and for eunji's musicals as well. this just seems like a chance for the fans to show their support for bomi and namjoo since you wouldn't do this type of stuff for just appearing on variety shows. also those outfits are tragic. i thought we were over the frilly cotton candy dress phase.

Timing makes sense if the solo album is true! If it's in April and after the Japanese comeback, Eunji's solo will help to build hype for Apink's comeback. Naeun's drama is completely pre-produced so she will still be filming through March-April anyway. I foresee Apink's comeback after Eunji's solo (hopefully she will promote it for at least 2-3 weeks) and while Naeun's drama is airing to maximize publicity...maybe late May? So excited for the solo and I hope there are some great songs and she does really well.

She's friends with all of them, not just Naeun. She used to be their english teacher (or Cube's, since she has connections with a few other idols too) in Korea before she moved back to the US. If you go back, it looks like she hung out with Eunji and Bomi at some point when she was back in Korea.

I think Naeun has more fans and more recognition and more overall popularity, but Chorong has more stans. That's why you see the difference, because Naeun fans aren't as vocal or active.

no, the original source of the info was a taiwanese amber fan that said she saw bomi with some other person she didn't recognize. given that the fan is taiwanese and amber-biased, she probably only knows bomi from real men and doesn't really follow apink. people just assumed it was eunji who was there since eunji is friends with amber and knows luna (and no other apink member seems to know anyone else in f(x)), but maybe eunji is busy with schedules or something else.
