Mariah Carey supported down to Eb3/E3 in her prime. I remember Lena Park supporting down to Eb3/E3 too. And U.Ji as well (even if it's not really showed).

 

A supported G3 is nice but don't forget the tonal quality. Eunji and Taeyeon both support down to G3/G#3 but Eunji has a better lower register because she's capable of phrasing stronger and clearer lower notes than Taeyeon, who has issues with nasality and airiness in her lower notes.

 

Honestly G3 is decent and quite nice but F#3 should be the standard for a good Soprano lower range. And D3/Eb3 should be the standard for a mezzo.

I was lurking but I was also just watching this video right now, do you think Eunji is capable of supporting lower than that?

So here my simple explanation.

As you know Jang Family has 2 sons, 1st son, kim sung kyung, 2nd Jin Goo. Kim sung kyung is joonhee's husband. The couple above jin goo+sungkyung are their parents. While joonhee is the only daughter of president Go.

 

And then, there is Jin Kyung (a woman above eunji) who's eunji's mom. She's a detective who work in crime unit along with Go Soo Chang (beside jin kyung).

The pic below jin goo is his father's right hand, while pic next to it is jingoo+sungkyung's uncle.

 

 

I didnt expect joonhee to be sungkyung's character's wife tho. Talk about the real age gap.

 

 

And the fact that Jin Kyung is Eunji's mom make me more excited. As if i can be more excited. Lol. She's one of my fav actress, and she's amazing.

And so, the mom is detective, and daughter is prosecutor. Cant wait!

 

The supporting actors all have amazing acting history. And again, eunji is the only idol. This pd+writer really go to acting direction w/o considering idol who often casted as rating and viewer attractor. At least even this drama become like their previous works, i still can watch it only relying on acting. No crappy actors. And i hope eunji can do her best to keep up with all those big sunbae.

And anyway,i read some speculation about yesterday fishing-eunji and today that rectangle thingy are for Oricon, their upcoming jap single.

not really, kim sungkyun just looks old for his age. him and go joonhee are only 5 years apart. eunji and jingoo though...lol. i'm really excited for this drama since i watched secret forest and got into crime dramas.

but i'm so confused. Bomi had an IG live a few hours ago and she said Eunji went back home. i'm assuming she was talking about her home in Busan. so that means there was no drama schedule?

I think the drama films in Busan since the location director keeps on posting photos in Busan. I'm sure Eunji loves filming Untouchable because she gets to work and see her family and hometown friends when she's not shooting.

I'm sure they pre-arranged the drama shooting schedule around her events. These lotto promotions are such a great opportunity too since it's for a worthy cause - if she had to stop shooting for something, I'd rather it be to help out some elderly people  and since the performance is the same day it works out.

Lol Panda's I don't want to bring the whole Bomi scandal back to life, but I've stumbled across this video and I can say THIS right here is black face. Their intentions were to make fun of black people and high light them in a bad light. These young women, their intentions were racist. Whereas Bomi's intentions were just follow along a script that was given. You can honestly compare the two videos and see that.

Right when I saw the teaser I knew this was going to turn out to be a problem. Just because the intention wasn't there doesn't mean that it isn't still hurtful to some people. Although I don't think she had the intention and I think that the blame lies primarily on SNL and their producers and writers, you cannot speak on their behalf. The company should release a statement and apology for participating in the skit and I hope i-fans push them to do in a very clear way  so that they can learn from this mistake and not make it again. Don't defend blindly, acknowledge the mistake, correct it and move on.

Blackface is a sensitive topic but the public in Korea and many other Asian countries are still very ignorant of this - which is understandable given their insular nature and history. Kpop is no longer just limited to Korea and while this probably won't impact their Korean fans, I don't want this to hurt them moving forward.

Hopefully Eunji does become co-MC with Hodong.. she doesn't exactly have the best variety skills in Apink (I find Bomi & Namjoo are more natural at the entertainment part and more funny) but she is definitely at the top for MC skills along with Bomi... hopefully they do arrange something for her... at least a guest appearance but I much rather her be co-MC... Hodong x Eunji chemistry is amazing <33 but then again, her chemistry with most hosts are great, like on LOTJ and the entire 2D1N.... that's exactly what we need... another Apink appearance on 2D1N...it's been a while and it's like their variety fam besides Weekly Idol <3

bomi/namjoo are better at the straight slapstick/comedy varieties like WI and with reactions and eunji is better at the interview/speaking varieties. she's really witty with her words and that can sometimes be lost in translation. it makes apink overall a well rounded group in variety.

yup, i think they did. it felt rushed, it was all about Bada's husband and just a little bit of the other guests. Eunji's screentime was decent, the problem was the lack of topics about her, which at some point made me wonder what the hell she was doing there, i swear for about 15 minutes she just kept listening to the others and barely spoke. the dancing part was cut and i bet a lot of other stuff too, maybe they talked about The spring or even her acting career, but none of that was shown

oh well, at least everytime she spoke, it was pretty entertaining. and she made them laugh a lot. i really liked her satoori at the end

honestly there's not that much to complain about i think. they spent a good amount of time talking about their group and how bada basically handpicked eunji to join because of her personality and humbleness. i think that says more than eunji talking about her solo or acting career. considering she's by far the least senior of all the guests, she got a good amount of screentime.

This guy looks like he's a friend of Raymond Chae. They all probably got brunch together in LA when Eunji was here. Not sure if Eunji met Raymond Chae through Song Hye Kyo or her model friends?!

it looks like eunji had brunch with raymond chae and his friends in LA. raymond chae is pretty much the top fashion stylist in korea and is close friends with song hye kyo, yoo ah in, and song joong ki. eunji has some crazy a-list connections! not to mention she also seems to be hanging out with a lot of top korean models lol

they said the same thing about namjoo too, but on vlive hayoung said it wasn't and same for eunji, bomi said she was exercising...not hard to believe really...and naeun/hayoung vlive mentions their rehearsal was at 8/9am in the morning..if she had felt the pain back then, she would have already gone to the hospital earlier...

gym lovers usually just hit the hotel gym when they have nothing to do..i think she was probably in the gym around the time when naeun/hayoung had their vlive(it looked like they didnt have a clue of eunji's injury at the time) and by the time she felt the pain, it was time for the performance.. so she just tried to bear it...

 

but even if it was during rehearsals, my point is the exercises she seems to be doing...like even the pilates picture...just try that position for urself...it puts a lot of pressure on the back..is that really suppose to help her?that's what i have doubts on.

well, certain exercises in general are supposed to help strengthen and gain flexibility so you don't injure it again. it's actually good to exercise. i sprained my ankle and went to a physical therapist and they want you active and exercising, just in the right way. it's a possibility that she went to the hotel gym and because she was by herself and not with a trainer that something happened or it was just a freak random accident that caused the injury.

A good friend from Busan. It looks like he's signed to Pastel Music, which is an AMAZING indie record label in Korea. I really hope Eunji collaborates with him or any other Pastel artists. But she promoted his singles before and also I saw a picture of him at one of the Apink concerts. 

NGL the music coming out of Pastel is better than most kpop for me. 

I'm thinking Eunji might push her comeback to beginning of May and Apink in June. Since they're coming to LA for the KTMF, maybe they'll shoot their album pictures or even the MV (hopefully) over in the US! That would be such a great change for them.

My guess is that Plan A is really aiming for April for Eunji, and in May for Apink if everything goes as planned.

April is going to be a really tough month for a comeback with IU and Psy (there are other strong comebacks as well, YG said Hyukoh is coming back and Winner/IKON too and probably others). Right now Eunji's solo has a better chance at going head to head with them digitally, and they probably want to have Apink do as well as possible so they are probably going to try to find the best timing for the comeback where they have a good chance to do well digitally and physically around May/June. At least that is what I'm thinking for their strategy.

I think originally it was supposed to air online or something anyway - wasn't it some kind of KBS World mini special? It was never a primetime drama to begin with, so I believe that if they don't reschedule the time slot, it will be aired online. At least that is what I hope.

Sometimes, ignore and being silent isn't the best choice. Fans who looked at it and knew that she's just an immature stan, but nonfans don't. And I don't think telling someone to respect other members makes the whole fandom look bad.

i would agree if it was a post on a forum or on NB or something that a lot of people see and discuss, or even if it's a user with a lot of friends/followers or one of the big kpop twitter users. that person was basically irrelevant on twitter so in this case i think it would have been better to ignore.

there are a lot of immature stans and that comes with a lot of kpop fans being like 15 years old. 

What is going on w/ Ig and twitter right now! People are having fights about eunji vs. apink...

lol it all started from literally one person who said something about eunji vs. apink and then everybody got all up in arms. i mean that one twitter user was being annoying but everyone got super defensive really fast.

people also need to chill and realize that blowing things up is making it worse. there are annoying stans of every member, they can't let just one person get to them this way or else it makes the whole fandom look bad. 

like just ignore the tweet, it's not like that person had many followers or was relevant anyway. retweeting and making a big deal out of things makes it worse.

As I what I said, PlanA isn't big enough to do multi-process without affecting each other's comeback like Big 3, but could you compare what they can do in their only comeback in that year to Apink's comeback after 1 yr 2months ? And why don't you bring out groups under small companies to take a more sense example ? Why Apink's hiatus be that long ? Mostly bcs PlanA is still small and don't have enough people to do many project at the same time. So, I don't think that prepare for debuting Victon or Eunji's comeback  which she even attended in composing her own album didn't make Apink's hiatus become longer for less than a month, while Pandas expected and had even started waiting day by day after May for their comeback, but BOOMMM!!!, it's near October, what happened btw that time and after their comeback you guys saw it right ? And I saw many Pandas went to stan other groups in that time or become less active, even me become so tired waiting for it. It's not Eunji comeback affects Apink directly , it's chain reaction, btw Pandas and PlanA. If PlanA doesn't manage well, the same things will happen once again. I'm just worry about that bcs I don't belive in PlanA at all. 

TBH Eunji's solo doesn't take a lot of company resources at least not compared to launching a new boy group. She can be almost self sufficient - I personally think she has enough connections to get producers/songs sent to her, not to mention she is writing/co-producing herself. She probably can get invited to variety shows on her own without the company working too hard. She doesn't need choreography and she can probably record a song in a few takes. It's more about finding the time in Apink's schedule to do 2-3 weeks of promotion. Naeun was filming her drama at that time so it was unlikely that Apink were going to come back in April anyway, so that's probably why they were able to fit it in there.

If anything took up company resources this year, it's Victon. Debuts are a huge amount of company resources as they need to get their name out as much as possible and that probably takes a lot of negotiation and work, plus trying to produce a strong debut.

For Apink to find the time to do 2 comebacks, what they really need to do is hold off on the Japanese and overseas promotions a bit honestly, NOT to hold off on individual activities in Korea. Individual activities (as long as its in Korea) would still help the group.

She'll probably win WGM couple award

Yay more awards, but I still find this weird because Bomi/Taejoon are a very average couple? I was hoping for more of her variety personality to shine, but they have been very low key. Like plain, normal WGM scripted. They don't seem to have some sort of character

It's good they are so low key so there isn't any of the ridiculous fallout that Naeun/Taemin had but also literally nobody talks about them either. It's both bad and good. Bad because I thought there would be more public interest, but good because you don't get the crazy shipping and hating that goes along with being a popular WGM couple.

I am looking forward if Hayoung has a chance to make a MLT show... maybe play PC games ... This kid is funny and it should be fun if she pick a good topic

eunji is a better show host in general especially for interviews and talk shows - she knows how to speak her mind and is really engaging. the show could have definitely been planned better, but i assume there wasn't much preparation that went into this given all the other stuff. personally, i think there should have only been one topic - i found the korean traditional drumming/dancing the most interesting topic but people seemed to dislike the guest the most only because he seemed to take over the show - although it would be interesting what koreans think about it.

however, bomi and namjoo had overall better topics (more focused on 1 thing) and much more engaging guests. namjoo's teacher was really good - she is an acting teacher after all, and bomi's MLT was especially good because they were able to project the "loveline" between her and her guest (right after all the olympics so that was a huge get) - TV is all about creating a narrative.
