His stage persona is definitely different than how he seems offstage. He's appeared on some TV shows before too and always seems very quiet and shy. He was voted by the members as the shyest member (even moreso than Dongjin!) back in the Seventeen TV days. Hello! Stranger even teased him about the hair touching thing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLLUWYWbOoM The members also voted him as having the most personal habits, so his constant appearance-checking might have something to do with that. It could be that he's a bit self-conscious.

I'm just casually reminding people talking about the fandom name that Mingyu already dubbed us Bob. We are BOBs. (I know he was naming the camera)

Which male idols do you think are gay?
Frogurt replied to cold soba's topic in Celebrity News & Gossip
Many places seem to, honestly. If they're not hypersexualized or strictly feminine or butch, you don't see many lesbians in much of anything anywhere. People have more exposure to gay men, probably due to sexism, and that creates an assumption that people have more of a problem with gay men and that's why they're focused on more in popular culture. In reality it seems like an "erasure" kind of issue, where all or most of the focus lies on gay men rather than gay women (or bisexuals for that matter), so they don't really get much of the exposure they need to be accepted. It seems like when really homophobic people mention "homosexuals" they're usually referring to gay men. I've heard people say "homosexuals...and lesbians" many a time and not even notice the redundancy. It's like gay women are an afterthought or less important somehow. My guess is that many societies still expect less from women than men (whether they consciously know this or not), and so the idea of lesbians is more offputting because women are expected to maintain more traditional gender roles and "rebel" less, and being gay is considered a threat to that. I dunno though, much of what I said could be just as easily turned around. I ramble on sometimes... -
D'aww, Minghao/The8 at 2:21. He looks so happy and starts hopping around before chatting up Vernon. I'm not as familiar with him as the others because of how late he joined, etc, but I've always kept an eye on him. Why are all these kids so loveable?

It's really that bad? Ugh. -
We have so much to look forward to with these guys. I mean, they provide such stellar entertainment. Take a look at these times from their trainee days when... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQoE85maD8Q ...they managed to break 3 lights while playing in the practice room and didn't care at all (that celebration at the end though). Or... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Ce6O3__bWM ...when the Pledis staff turned the volume on way too high for the event alarm (SOUND WARNING) And... when they all pretended to be ghosts...and let's not forget... whenever they attempted to speak English without Vernon or Joshua there to correct them (feat. Mingyu's famous "YOU!" and "GET OUT" and Dino's surprisingly deep English voice) Ok I'll stop I love them like bananas though.

I like it more than the MV, ngl. The part near the end where it switches to them all singing in different places is really nice. Also Woozi looks like an adorable mad scientist with those glasses, and DK got his hoodie lace stuck in his hair at the end of the part where they were dancing in the dirt. These dorks.

Sungjongie... Is this really all because of that blind item? just how hard has that been on him/have people been on him about it? Some people just have no chill. -
Did you guys know that: chicken heals our hearts? Or... ...that Wonwoo sucks at aegyo? Perhaps... ^^^ you'd like an English introduction from DK? Maybe... You just want more Woozi? Idk.

Correct! *claps* Keep it up. They're honestly all different enough that they'll just fall into place in your memory after a while and stay there. One helpful thing to remember is that the more serious they look, the more likely they are to be total dorks. Mingyu, Wonwoo, S.Coups and DK try to have serious or sexy images but are all complete softies and comedians. The ones who try to have cute and outgoing images tend to be the ones that are actually more quiet and/or shy, like Woozi, Vernon, The8, etc. Joshua and Junghan are like inseparable friends too so that might help in the future. Yuss.

Jungkook seems terrified of girls though. As for Jin and the Topp Dogg guy, it seemed pretty one-sided. Jin might be gay imo but he seems socially awkward around people in general which makes me less certain whenever he pings me. There are big differences between accidentally showing attraction or being crush shy around people and just being an awkward person around people because of social awkwardness. He's got them legs though, I can't really blame the Topp Dogg guy... -
Aww the chant is so cute. I'm still having problems deciding on whether to refer to them by their real or stage names though, so the chant calling them by their real names isn't helping...Also...Woozi in those little overalls, d'aww What a familiar tale. You're in too deep now though, so welcome! We will have to discuss joint custody though. Even the 95 liners are my sons.

Jihun always gave off a vibe of really liking Seungcheol but being ignored like the whole Chan/Hansol situation, at least to me. And Jisoo and Junghan's baby Dongjin will always live on in our hearts... ^ Papa Junghan and Mama Jisoo ^ Sound warning and high levels of pabo on that last one. I apologize in advance for posting twice but I think this is important. I post a lot of Seventeen TV stuff but it's mainly because I really think it highlights the affinity and friendship they all have with one another. I think people should try to see them less as a challenger to Exo and the kpop idol system or whatever and more as a genuine group of friends and artists. I mean I know they're idols but they actually do a lot of their own production and they worked sooo hard to get to where they are now. I'm not saying other idols haven't but I just think that there's something different about Seventeen. It feels kind of strange to compare them to more mainstream groups. They're just a bunch of talented kids being creative and having fun and not being treated like slaves.

Yeah, I know it's a sitcom, I didn't mean to imply that it isn't supposed to be comedic. It just has a tendency to be silly but then have a sudden drama-packed episode before returning to being silly again. It's a good enough show that I'll watch it to the end and I actually do think a bone will be thrown, but I think it's just a matter of how rushed it will be at this point. Not Topp Dogg? -
I'm in a Woozi mood. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gYkrnxrZB8 ^ My two biases at the beginning...and that cam nod omg. Mingyu was like "what something silly is happening without me there, unacceptable!" Lee Jihun you talented little cutiepie (dat Hoshi too).

These dorks... WHO DOES THIS!? D'aww Vernon DK and Hoshi compete for your love ....yep.
