  1. Heh, I don't think he did that on purpose. He seemed embarrassed, I think he only noticed the sign after he had given her the flower. They said she had a bad expression but she looked like she was enjoying it to me. It takes a pretty stiff fan to only fangirl if it's their bias that does something like that.
  2. Hanbyul left to tour with LEDApple, and now that he's leaving LEDApple to go solo he can come back to ASC...right? It would be a great way to promote himself and he does have an extremely underrated voice, at least in my opinion. Look up LEDApple Hanbyul Music Note if you don't believe me. He said he would come back at least as a guest when he left... I mean it's not like U-KISS is going anywhere.
  3. Joshua. Those eyes like what how why. Both your sigs are becoming a problem for me tbh. This fandom is so wonderful. Now all we need is them doing Thriller.
  4. If only Hanbyul would come back. I imagine there'd be a really interesting MC dynamic between everyone with Jimin in the mix now. Some people say Hanbyul pings them too, but honestly Eric always pinged me more in their old interactions. He seemed more self-aware and submissive as an MC around Hanbyul whereas now he just always acts like an older brother type to Kevin and Jimin and always asserts his control of the show. Anyway, I remembered this whole exchange: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6NQA-fZmdZE That projection from Kevin about Eric needing to get married at the beginning. I wonder if Jimin really thinks any of them are straight.
  5. There was a fanchat with 3 fans and one of the fans was a guy and said some sweet things to Monsta X about how he found them inspirational, and Wonho said "Thank youuu, I love you!" and blew him a kiss. You could hear Kevin's typical manic laughter in the background before he said he hoped that had been for the girls.
  6. They keep tweaking with the choreo even though the MV is out and I love it. You can also tell that DK is trying some new things with his parts as well. And is it just me or is Woozi getting cuter??? That part where he "hit" Hoshi on the head... We love you too! They've always been so interactive with their fans, I'm excited to see how much of a wave they make in kpop. Jun!!! I don't think I've talked about him yet. This guy fits absolutely perfectly in the performance team. Not only can he sing like an angel, he can dance like crazy, do wushu, act like a pro (he won an award for acting when he was younger, you know), and even cook. I've always considered him the true "mother" of the group, even back when Doyoon had that title. He was always checking up on other members to make sure they were okay as well as trying to get them to do things with him in front of the cameras for fanservice or to reduce their shyness. I've noticed a lot of people mentioning that they think he's an underrated member, and although I agree, I think that part of the reason for that is because people just take him for granted. He's an integral part of Seventeen and things just wouldn't be the same if he weren't around. He's the guy in the background who holds everything together. Long live Mr. Blue Earmuffs. Edit: and to answer your last question lolitea, it's around 32:22: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4BzA1p4osXE
  7. I'm sorry you felt that way but I guess I'm just used to it now because that doesn't even surprise me anymore. People in my high school asked me if I was "certain I wasn't just greedy and/or seeking attention," etc. One very religious girl told me I was liar and said that there's only gay and straight. ..."Progress" I guess..? Honestly this is a huge problem for a lot of things in my opinion. I feel like a lot of people just go with the flow/don't care/feel pressured to conform with LGBTQ issues and to me that just seems like shoving them under a rug without actually taking the time to understand why they are not things to fear or discriminate against. I'm not a fan of people who whine about "political correctness" but I can see what the whiners are trying to point out; that society is changing and pressuring people to hide their true views and prejudices through shaming, etc. People will say they support LGBTQ, sure, but many will only do so out of peer pressure and conformity while not really changing their true feelings. If you don't really try to reason with people and dispel their misconceptions then nothing really changes for the better, and that's what really needs to be done. It's always really pathetic when this happens because you know it's because of their insecurities. You'd think that people who face discrimination and stereotyping would know not to apply the same stuff to others. Just like many homophobic people seem to think all gay people are lusting after them, some gay people seem to think that bisexuals are always lusting after both sexes and will always eventually settle down with an opposite sex partner for "security" or whatever. It's just not true.
  8. I don't get what he means but I'm half asleep so Edit: oh nm oops
  9. oh my gat Edit: Also look at their hair in this ancient video I just found of them where they are charming people in a hospital like can we all just. SOUND WARNING. LIKE TURN IT NEARLY OFF I'M SERIOUS MY EARS. Anyway: CHANNIE'S HAIR. And is Hoshi wearing Wonwoo's beanie...?
  10. Pfft. As a bisexual person myself I can safely say that I do not actually exist. There's clearly a strict sexual binary, just like the gender binary. I'm clearly just a rebellious slut, and if I ever date a gay person I'm just being a poser and will eventually ditch them for someone of the opposite sex. In all seriousness though, I wonder if the stereotypes about bisexuals are similar in Korea. It's always been entertaining to see bi celebrities here in the states be referred to as straight and then "suddenly gay" and then "suddenly straight again, what a trainwreck!" by the media no matter how many times they come out as bi. Sigh.
  11. Mutual bearding That's pretty sad actually... Also I heard the opposite, that a surprising amount of ulzzang guys are actually straight? I still refuse to believe what anyone says about Park Hyung Seok though, that boy pings to the high heavens.
  12. Probably my favorite reaction vid so far. I've always liked these two and I love that they nicknamed Woozi SugaCube. Also...after reaction vids inevitably come THE COVERS Seventeen fans looking strong af.
  13. What's it from? Really, though, like in what context could this possibly be anything other than what it looks like? I honestly don't follow Exo much but there was that lip-biting leg rubbing incident and now this. I am intrigued. Is Taeyeon a beard?
  14. Great picks. They're all sweet imo, but I agree that there's just something special about Hoshi. He always seems to try to make everyone happy and lift their spirits, and you could see in their Seventeen Project show that the others would always become a bit shocked or disheartened when they saw Hoshi get nervous, scared or sad. He's like the light of the group. He, DK and Mingyu are probably the liveliest of the members but whereas Mingyu and DK are silly and comedic, Hoshi is encouraging and uplifting. He and Woozi are my biases but Hoshi got on the list first forever ago when they were finally allowed to reveal their real names in the early Seventeen TV days. Before this moment they had all been going by nicknames (Hoshi's was "Mr. Dumbbell") and Hoshi was the first one allowed to introduce himself officially to the stream viewers: ^ I linked to the part of the video I'm talking about. Notice how he introduces himself as "Mr. Dumbbell" and then his eyes light up when he finds out he can finally say he's Kwon Soonyoung. That's when he officially became my bias. I hope he had an amazing birthday...
  15. It actually was. I really enjoyed reading your post and I agree with you about the potential of DK's voice. I really hope he's feeling more confident lately, it seems like he's become one of the new fan favorites since their debut, people are definitely noticing his voice and I hope he sees that. I don't want to go into a rant about what I think is wrong with the whole idol culture but I hope Pledis lets the boys keep their creativity and lets them shine, there really aren't any members that seem to have been chosen based on a whim or anything, they're all talented and have been training for so long. I too think DK would be hilarious on a variety or reality show, he's the class clown of the group (with Hoshi in second, these two together are too much tbh). I'm also loving the Seventeen fandom so far. I mean it was always good but the people who have joined since debut are top quality as well. I kind of want an official fandom name already, I mean it's not like we've been waiting a really long time or anything... Also Woozi and Joshua are killing me...
  16. Ugh, that was one awkward cut...let's hope it doesn't become a thing. On the bright side, listen to them belting over the background music. Nice pipes, DK. I want to see them do it with live instruments, I doubt they would even have a problem. Adore U's choreography is awesome and doesn't look like it's tiring enough to ruin their singing...or at least the boys make it look that way.
  17. Tsk, Doyoon. He can't seem to figure out what he wants to do. I admit I haven't followed him very closely since he left but I hope things work out for him. I remember when the members were reading letters they had written to their parents on Seventeen TV and Doyoon was talking about how he knows he's being indecisive about what he wants do do and hopes he's not a burden on them. If he wants to be an actor I think he should go for it...he's great from what I've seen. A boy group is ok too as long as he's happy about it. Anyway... Top 5 most handsome members...hm. I'm older than all of them and although I know none of them are unattractive, I'm also not really attracted to any of them, probably because of the age thing. I just think they're all cute and sweet. If I had a gun pointed to my head though I guess I'd say... 5. S.Coups (he's underrated imo, he has the cutest smiles and acts like a maknae) 4. Mingyu (adorkable) 3. Wonwoo (he can be a bit silly and awkward at times but the boy's a looker) 2. Junghan (I'd more or less tie him with #1 but...) 1. Joshua (his eyes are so pretty. I'm a sucker for pretty eyes. So many boys have pretty eyes and don't even know it or have to worry about it like girls do, the JERKS ) That boy. He DID say that the best instrument he plays is hearts!~~
  18. Here's the interview I keep mentioning. Keep in mind how old it is; three of the members (Doyoon, Mingming and Dongjin) are no longer members of Seventeen. Doyoon is the second from the right on the top row, Mingming is top right (next to Doyoon), and Dongjin is second from the right on the bottom row. If anybody's interested, Doyoon left to pursue an acting career, Mingming failed a practice/progress evaluation and was ultimately replaced with The8/Minghao, Dongjin left for an unknown reason and went back to school, and Samuel (who isn't in the interview) left for another unknown reason and later debuted in another group, 1Punch. Some of the members were training to become part of 17 longer than others; S.Coups, Doyoon, Dongjin, Joshua, Junghan and The8 were all not part of the original SeventeenTV season 1 cast. S.coups, Doyoon and Woozi had actually been part of another trainee group named Pledis Boys which was supposed to become two groups: Nu'est and "Tempest." Obviously, Nu'est debuted but Tempest was scrapped and the members were moved to the Seventeen Project. Woozi was part of Seventeen TV season 1 though, he was moved earlier. Anyway, enough of my rambling: I didn't post it earlier because of how long it is, but I guess it might help some people. The part where Vernon is voted the shyest member takes place about 6 minutes in. Isn't it funny how 13 members debuted and 4 left? If those 4 had stayed then they really would have had 17 members... Here's Mingming's instagram if anybody wants it idk: https://instagram.com/97double_m/
  19. Ahh, Junghan. He seems a lot more like his stage persona than Vernon. He's quiet too but not shy; he seems like a very humble person and kind of a protective older brother type. He was voted "best personality" by the other members in the same interview where Vernon was voted most shy, and he was also one of two members who was voted most handsome (the other being Doyoon, who is no longer part of Seventeen). When he saw that a good chunk of the members were pointing his way he denied it and said Mingyu was more handsome, and so the title was given to Mingyu (this is a good example of his humble nature). He is very close friends with Joshua, to the point where fans referred to them as husband and wife (with Junghan being the husband). Expect new fans to ship them like crazy in the future as Seventeen gives us more material. He often sings soft songs but I think his voice has potential for more fast-paced music, maybe even rock and roll. Anyway, here's some old Junghan stuff, he doesn't have long hair in them though: ^When Joshua introduced him to the Seventeen TV audience. I think they got along so well so fast because they both felt a bit like outsiders. Joshua was new to the country and Junghan joined pretty late, so they probably were able to relate more to each other. The fact that they're so close in age probably helped too. ^See what I mean about his voice having even more potential? Maybe it's just me. D'aww. ^Husband and wife. What did I tell ya?
  20. It's definitely possible. I have my suspicions about a few people who are sometimes talked about here. Are we talking about suspicions based on mannerisms? I just want to be certain because I know it's possible to be both trans and gay. I admit to not knowing much about trans history and rights in Korea though, so I don't know if it would be a lot harder than coming out as gay there or not. They're completely different things but a lot of people conflate them for some reason.
