yea most of them are moe eechi trash from the looks of it lol. But there are enough that look good that i want to make the bundle worth it. Narcissu is great btw. I played the free version on steam. This version is a remake i think and also adds in a new epilogue and a few new additional stories. salieri explained most of it i think. Lots of eechi VNs that are probably not worth checking out but a few that might be. Narcissu isn't romance. It's about kids who live in a sick ward of a hospital. It is known as the last floor of the hospital before they die because of whatever illness they have. It covers topics like depression, suicide, and religion. I think it's great and worth reading if you can handle those topics. It's the only one i've already read but it comes with new content. edit: also i played a ton of dissidia on the psp so i'm looking forward to this. I've been waiting for a console version so now that one is finally coming out i hope they announce it for the west soon.

Yea i meant gameplay and not visuals. P5 is above the rest in terms of visuals for sure. I mean i love turn based combat in jrpgs. I'm not saying it's bad. I'm saying it doesn't have wide public appeal anymore. Jrpgs are niche and are nowhere as popular as before. There's the hardcore fans and everybody else has kinda moved on.

I think Xseed said that while they were working on SC. And if you read THIS, i think it's understandable that they didn't want to drop their work and start over. I don't think they would have sold that much more with cleaner looking sprites anyway. People would have still looked at it and think it's dated. Xseed is smaller than Atlus also i think, and Atlus is already pretty small themselves. But Atlus has Sega backing them now too so that helps them. What exactly did Atlus revamp for Persona 5? I don't remember anything about this.

There are already remasters for them but Xseed said they're not going to bring them over. Probably because they already spent so much time working on the originals before the remasters were a thing. CS games do look bad and dated but i think they still appeal to people more than the Sky games. People probably look at Sky and think it's too old school for them even though i think Sky is way better. Gameplay-wise i think the non-hardcore jrpg fans see all jrpgs as dated unfortunately. Except for the more western influenced ones like FFXV and Xenoblade.

CSIII won't take that long. I think Xseed switched focused to CS after SC because they said SC finishes the Liberl story and Third is a side story. We didn't even know we were going to be getting Third. And CS sells wayyyyyyyyy more than the Sky games do. I think CS games have sold a combined 1 mill+ iirc? And Sky is like in the 10s of thousands or something super low despite how hard it was to translate those games.

I'm 70 hours into P5 and just finished the 5th palace. About how much do i have left? I have this week off and would like to try to beat it this week if it's possible.

I think i might still like 5 Centimeters Per Second more also. But my viewing experience of Your Name was kinda ruined and definitely affected my enjoyment of the movie so it's hard to say for sure.

I don't avoid them necessarily. I've listened to a song or two from all those male artists on the list. I just didn't care enough to listen to their albums haha. I listened to a few Fire Ex. songs before but not the album. This is probably one of my favorite cpop songs of the year so far and it's from a male artist so there!

I think i listened to all the albums from the girls nominated in the best female category and only some of the ones nominated for best male (cus male artists reasons lol). Out of the ones nominated for best album, i listened to half of them i think. Not really interested in mayday, guo ding, xu jun. Didilong's album is nominated for best taiwanese album and i listened to that also. Not sure if it's your style but i think it's worth checking out

I never cared about awards. They're pretty meaningless to me. I only look up the nomination lists to see if i missed anything worth checking out.

Nice. Honestly i wouldn't mind if other countries did the japanese way of releasing music. Cpop is album heavy and you don't get much between albums because most artists don't release singles. Japan has singles every once in a while between albums. Or even the kpop way and release multiple mini-albums instead of waiting to release a full album. There's so much waiting for something to release in cpop.

Has anyone played Divinity Original Sin? How is it for a complete Crpg noob and someone who sucks at strategy lol.

Nier Automata is the best video game OST this year tbh. Haven't even played the game myself yet but i haven't heard anything else that's even close, not even P5. The only thing that i can see challenging it is the OST for the new FFXIV expansion because FFXIV music is usually pretty damn good too.

idk i just don't really like any of the party members outside of Ryuji. And the story isn't doing anything for me either. ~50 hours in and the story is "we need to get more popular! Wait who is this group?" and that's it after that many hours. Game is still fun and all the little things to manage has been pushing me forward but i need the game to make me care about something. I just started palace 4 last night but i'm putting the game on hold. Good to hear i'm at the point where it picks up though.

mementos do suck. Their design, the repetitive music, the way the game constantly nags you to go do the missions, and how little they make you care about doing them because you have so many other things you're already trying to manage. I don't think having to save in a save room is that bad though. They're never that far apart. I do think P5 improves in a lot of ways mechanically. I just wish i cared about the story and the characters more. They're not doing it for me and i think its partly because it is just being weaker than 4 in that area, and Trails somewhat ruining jrpgs for me lol. I saw something about possible Trails in the Sky characters showing up in Cold Steel 3? I didn't look into it more because i was scared of seeing spoilers since i haven't even played CS2 yet. i saw on twitter that they might be

the only problem i have with z inputs are accidental supers lol. I'm mostly just playing it as a break from P5. I'm considering getting GG when it comes out and try getting into that instead.

i saw that on reddit this morning. As a character he looks kinda cool. The input stuff i'm not sure about yet. Even as a novice, special move inputs aren't hard. It's the combo timing and memorization that's harder, maybe it's because i've been doing hadoukens and shoryukens since sf2 though. It just reminds me of the new MVC supposedly having dp be down down punch instead of what it has been for decades. Speaking of SFV though, i've been trying to find a character to learn and i think i've settled with Cammy. Been doing her trials and messing around in training for a little bit here and there~
