Wu Jing's acting has always been over the top and kinda shit. That's why he's never taken off even though his fighting is pretty good. I'll watch this movie tho. Zhang Jin (Max Zhang) is the guy i think could be a star but they keep giving him supporting/bad guy roles instead of lead roles. 

 

for my birthday i'm getting dragon quest VIII

i had it for PS2 but i could never finish it or even proceed from the beginning (i didn't speak english that time)

so i'm very eexcited cause i liked the storyline

and the designs of the monsters

 

Dragon Quest VIII is one of the best games of all time \O/

Even if the vibe has changed in some sections, you need positive posters to help reverse that and bring balance back, to set an example for new users and lurkers thinking about registering. If friendly and fun people leave then it really will take a negative turn. Its up to all of us to make this into the forum we want it to be.

 

If you need to take a break or you do decide to stop posting completely I'll understand but it would be a real shame to see you leave.

anyway i didn't actually mean to make a big deal out of this. I basically only post in this section and the gaming one now and i already have some of the gaming section people on my psn friends list so i felt like saying something here. 

Why?

I've been coming here less and less over the last 2 years or so. Basically after i stopped modding. I tried to start posting more regularly here and there but a lot of the time i'd rather lurk now. It's a combination of generally losing interest (not in asian entertainment, just the forum) and being annoyed by posts and users. (not here as in this thread or even this section lol)

I've been here since H8 like most of us here i think. Idk just after modding things started to annoy me more and more. Things have changed. The forum isn't as fun or friendly anymore. It's something i've always heard while i was a mod, that the forum has gotten way more toxic over time, and that stuff used to entertain me but now i don't want to be around it during my free time. 

i'm getting really close to quitting this site so if i stop showing up i'll be on twitter

Speaking of Evo, I'm looking forward to mostly SFV, KofXIV, BB and maybe a bit of Smash, there might be an american winner for SFV this year, Punk and Nuckledu are huge chances imo

Snake Eyes has beaten Punk at a couple events in a row lately. One i watched live at E3~ So he definitely has a chance too. And Du can fuck off with his guile tbh. 

i don't care for the song but i also don't really like most modern edm. The song just makes me think of the Namie comparisons tho lol. 

i thought about buying steins;gate 0 when it was on sale on psn but i heard that an anime adaptation could be happening soon-ish so i decided to wait for that instead. Hopefully that's true and not just people making assumptions...

Well after some early investigations the Steam sale doesn't appear that it will be any good.... 

this has been the trend for the last couple of years. Their sales aren't as aggressive as they used to be. GOG and even psn flash sales are sometimes just as good if not better. Still good discounts on older games and indie games here and there though. 

The more i listen to this song the more i think it might be my favorite song of the year so far. Such an unexpected collab but it works so well.

Did you like any of Twins older music? Because their new style is more mature than their early stuff and some of their older songs are actually quite experimental for HK music. Or do you mean you don't like their voices together?

 

I didn't know Shiga released any new mini album, that's so weird because I didn't see any promotion at all. Thanks for the recommendation, it's a nice surprise.

I listened to a compilation album and liked a few songs here and there but not really. Just their music in general. 

All i do now is check download sites and get what looks worth it lol. I don't actively search and look for upcoming stuff as much anymore. This is for music in all languages. 

i downloaded and listened to the Twins album last night. It's ok. I was never a big fan of them tho. I prefer Charlene's solo stuff. Shiga Lin's new mini album is worth checking out though if you haven't already.

I probably won't buy much from the sale. I'm kinda over buying games just because it's a good deal. Now i'm only buying them if i plan to play them soon-ish. Already set on buying Trails 3rd and finally playing that. Hyper Light Drifter is finally on sale so ima get that too. And that might be it. Debating on getting Darkest Dungeon. I want it but i have Trails 3rd to play and also Cold Steel 2. I still have Bloodborne to play too. So i'm already set on rpgs for a long time so i might pass on it for now and look for another non-rpg indie game or something instead. 

Also i played the Marvel vs Capcom: infinite demo. It's kinda crap tbh. I didn't like it at all. Fighting literal bots that don't really fight back didn't make for a good first impression either. I understand it's a demo for the story mode but still. 

Lol, not actually SAO, but a lot of people call it that because it's setting of an MMO world and main characters looking eerily similar

 

Personally I think it's different enough that it can't be called an SAO knock off but… meh what ever gets people watching

oh haha. There's a ton of mmo anime series in japan anyway. Not like it's just SAO. 

This is how I feel about Zhao Li Ying.  

Liu YiFei has a very classical traditional look to her.  Her soft features match really well with ancient clothing.  She's a beauty you grow to admire.  Kind of like a K-pop visual.  She's not someone that makes a bang first impression if you see her in a photoshoot like Ni Ni.  But if you watch her in Return of the Condor Heroes, you'll kind of get it. 

her too. I'd put Yifei above her actually. Yifei at least i've seen look very pretty sometimes. Just not enough for me to care. Zhao Li Ying's looks are kinda average and forgettable to me. To me both of them are like you said, you grow to like them after watching a series they're in or something. Their character and personality probably has a part in it.

How was E3, got to play many games?

 

I actually don't mind the helmet, actually think she kinda looks more generic without it tbh 

pretty fun to walk around and see everything. You kinda have to be willing to stand in lines for hours to take advantage of it though which i was not. I only got to play a couple of games because i was content with standing on the side and watching most things. I got to play Mario Odyssey, Dragonball FighterZ, and Ys VIII. Other stuff i didn't care enough to wait too long for. Also went to Universal Studios on our last day in LA and that was fun too. 

Overall i think it's worth going to once just to experience it and then maybe never again lol. A PAX is probably the better event to go to as a fan.

I ALMOST got to see Kojima. Me and a friend waited in line for a panel he was doing but there was a lot of people there and i guess it filled up before we got to go in. The stupid people in charge didn't even tell people in line that the Kojima panel was filled up. We stood there waiting for a while longer before we figured that we weren't getting in.

i remember seeing leaks that the summer steam sale will start on the 20th, which is tomorrow. We'll see if it's true. 

someone i still don't get is Liu Yifei. She doesn't do anything for me. 

mine would probably be Lin Yun. And i don't know if she is known for her looks or not but Zhou Dongyu is another person i thought was kinda weird looking but now i think is cute/pretty lol.

OMFG DSJAIDJ)JWE( I AM IN TEARS!! The first reveal screenshots were kind of meh to me ( esp the new characters ) other than the visuals and Sky characters. But now, we finally get a glimpse of Fie and Laura and omfg they look so badass and Fie with long hair JFC. And Ouroboros look so effing badass too... Iron Maiden and the Stahlritter, Shirley and the Red Constellation, Campanella, Mcburn... damn Falcom is going all out with this game

they have been mentioned and referenced a lot in the Steel series and Arianhod even had a cameo in CSI... i'm curious what's Arianhod's up to... in CSI, she saved Class 7 from Nosferatu.

Looks like it's using the GGXrd engine which would be awesome for its anime style. Kinda glad I held off Xenoverse 2 now, 3D arena fighters are not really my thing.

I just hope they include lots of characters since its 3v3 and somehow make them feel and play uniquely which will be pretty challenging for the Saiyen characters lmao 

I was really excited when they announced that ASW was making a DBZ game a while ago but it ended up being on 3ds. Happy that this one will be on consoles.

I like Dissidia and even bought it on Vita and have over 100 hours on it but tbh as an actual fighter it never really captured me and I haven't played most FF games so the fanservice does little for me, hopefully the new one is is good though but 3v3 seems kinda messy imo

Yea i played it a ton and think the campaign is fun but it really wasn't that great of a fighting game. It's like a not as good dbz fighting game or something. 

I asked Mandi and she seems too busy to make an E3 thread. So i'll probably put one together and post it tonight unless Salieri really wants to make it himself?
