  1. I'm actually finally playing the psp remake of P2: IS right now. Currently about halfway. I'm at a mountain dungeon learning about their past. It's a little after the blimp scene which was fucking troll lol. And yea it is really easy. You just spam fusion spells. I'm really not a fan of the demon negotiation system though. I realized that it's probably why i quit playing this game like 5 different times before. There's probably some logic to it but to me it's all trial and error and rng which is not fun. I have a guide open just for the negotiations and it's why i've been able to keep playing this time. Besides that i'm enjoying it. Eikichi might end up being my favorite male character in the Persona series.
  2. I bought Nocturne years ago but never even started it. It intimidates me tbh lol. I've heard a lot about how difficult it is. Though some have said that DDS is harder and i beat DDS without that much trouble. Idk if it's true though.
  3. Don't worry about staying on topic or anything. It's no big deal. Also it's anime but technically still a movie so whatever~ I am really looking forward to Kimi no Na wa though. I'm a big fan of Shinkai. That's 5cm Per Second in the Hall OH Fame gif/stamp under my name that i chose for my half of it lol. I doubt it'll play in my city if/when it does get a theatrical release in america though. So i'm holding out till bluray rips. Shinkai movies deserve hd so i'm not going to bother with the lq rip with watermarks that's floating around. Yup they announced a third movie earlier this year. The only thing i could find about a timeframe is a late 2017 or 2018 release. Also i just finished the second movie~ I think i liked the first movie more but it was still very enjoyable.
  4. Ohh level up a slot sounds interesting. It's good that they added a layer to that. Gust (they make the Atelier series) new game is a modern day game where you live your life and go to school and make friends. But you are also a magical girl and need to save the world :O I need to see gameplay of the battle system but i am already down for this lol If you want to see more concept art: http://gematsu.com/2016/11/blue-reflection-debut-trailer-daily-flow-chihiro-inoue-yuri-saiki-detailed
  5. Overdrive sounds OP as hell lol. Though there was a quartz in the first game that basically lets you get infinite turns or as long as you have items to heal sp. So not completely surprising haha. Yea i kinda expected the part under the spoiler. It had to play a role going forward after what happened in 1. Can you explain the second part of the spoiler more though? You get to choose your assist manually now? It felt like i rarely got an assist to boost arts in the first game. Happened maybe 2 or 3 times ever.
  6. It really was. Also helps that Hirose Suzu is adorable~ She was also good in Umimachi Diary. I might just stick with the movies but it depends how impatient i get waiting for the third movie after watching the second one. I don't know if there's even a release window for it or not.
  7. I just finished the first Chihayafuru movie and i am surprised by how good it was. I heard that the anime was really good but i never watched it. Really enjoyed the movie. Liked it much more than the Orange movie out of the friendship focused jmovies i watched this year.
  8. Claire Are there any game mechanic changes from 1 to 2?
  9. new Astro Bunny Also i asked a mod to pin/sticky the thread~
  10. So i watched a stream of the new FFXV demo. I actually liked what i saw. I've hated a lot of the decision making that went into this game and the marketing but it kinda turned me around some. Still no excuses for the preorder bullshit and all the other stuff though.
  11. So far they've only said 2017 for Sky 3rd. There's been no new news about it for a while. edit: there's a new FFXV demo out today/tonight in japan. Gonna check out a stream of it and see if it changes my mind about the game. I did not like the Platinum demo.
  12. idk. Maybe that fits under General? Preordering used to give real benefits and now it's just cosmetics and bonus in-game items that probably aren't that good. I remember when amazon used to give $10-20 in amazon credit back. And now...
  13. I saw news that Falcom's earning reports said that Cold Steel 1+2 sold over 900k copies world wide up till September 2016. That is amazing and way higher than i thought because i don't think the Sky games sold that well. They were originally on psp though. CS being 3d also probably helps. Hopefully this convinces Xseed to localize the Crossbell games. Also saw that CSIII is aiming for a September 2017 release. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1311642 also here's this lol
  14. fuck Square This is not "bringing FF back to it's roots"
  15. I came across this recently. It's not my thing but it you guys might like it. It's metal with a mix of english and cantonese
  16. If you liked Cold Steel you will like Sky. The main difference would be the school aspect isn't there in Sky. So no bonding events or school festivals. And also the lack of follow up attacks and rush attacks like i said before. It is very light on the tactical part so dont' let that scare you. I kinda regret calling it tactical now. It's just grid based. It plays exactly the same as Cold Steel just 2d. You know that circle in Cold Steel showing your range and who you can attack? Just change that to a grid instead and that's Sky. I only said tactical because it's not as easy as Cold Steel fights take a little longer and you actually have to move. Sky takes place before Cold Steel. Every time characters in Cold Steel mentioned Liberl or events that happened 2 years ago, they are talking about the Sky games. That's how they are connected. You might also see a familiar face a visual (Sen no Kiseki are the Cold Steel games and the Crossbell saga hasn't been translated yet and Xseed might skip them but who knows)
  17. Yea there doesn't look like there are any subs for them. There's THIS for the Noda movie but i don't have faith in machine subs even if the comment says 90% reliable lol. Toto nee-chan looks like it's on hiatus and hasn't been subbed pass ep54. Softsubs.
  18. yea Trails in the Sky's combat is basically Cold Steel if you take out the assist/follow up stuff. But it is more tactical and your position and attack range matters. It's not too tactical though. It's just enough to make you have to think and move around instead of bunching your characters up and getting hit with an AOE. And yea the games are very slow and dialogue heavy. I love the series but definitely understand why others won't like it. I think Cold Steel might be more accessible than Sky though. So might be worth a try when it gets cheaper or something. Also Ys Seven is awesome~ I bought all the Ys games on steam but only the newer ones have the party system and that's more fun to me than just Adol by himself.
  19. If those sites don't have it subbed i would try to see if there are subsofts somewhere and go that route. Kissasian is usually pretty good though. What movies are you looking for?
  20. Looked it up. Yes it was. I didn't know that was a thing. I just watched it because Pineapple told me to check it out and i liked it enough to keep watching.
  21. I think the industry being lazy also has something to do with it. The basic story, world, and characters are already made for them. They think remaking something that was successful somewhere else is a safer project that has a decent chance of also being successful. Being a remake already draws interest too. Very little things are truly original. Countries could make their own very easily or adapt one that probably already exists in their country that is similar. Mother is a melodrama. Korea is known for their melodramas and could just make their own instead of possibly ruining this story by adding in a bunch of unnecessary side characters and subplots! I watched my first kdrama in years earlier this year called Marriage Contract (the one with UEE). The main plot already had enough drama but they piled on so many other things that weren't needed. A ridiculous amount. Mother doesn't need that shit. (still bitter at the news of the remake lol)
  22. Me either. Not only has korea remade my favorite taiwanese drama (ITWY), my favorite chinese drama (BBJX), but it was recently announced that they're remaking my favorite japanese drama too (Mother) OTL. And i'd rather watch the korean version instead of remakes of their dramas too. The original is almost always better.
