I found it kinda meh tbh. It's a perfectly fine game with nothing really wrong with it though. It's just a pretty simple game because it's a snes game. You get a couple lines of dialogue where you get a tiny bit of story and they tell you where to go next. You go there and do it. Repeat. It made it really hard for me to care about the characters or the story, especially coming off a Trails game and Persona 2. A good game for the time and worth playing through at least once, but I think FF6 is far superior out of the 2 snes jrpgs that people consider the best of the genre.

It's pointless to compare review scores of different games. Standards change over time. Different reviewers doing the reviews. Things like that makes it so you can't compare it. The best thing to do is find a site or person that you tend to agree with and look at their reviews. Also there's rumors of Marvel v Capcom 4 being announced at PSX. I don't really care for the series but i know it's popular.

Persona 2: Innocent Sin System: PSP Pros: -I thought the story was great and I liked the characters. This has become my favorite story out of the Persona games that i’ve managed to finish (IS, 3, and 4). The premise of rumors coming true sets up some fun but also some really crazy situations. Even with all the craziness going on, the story between the characters and their past was really interesting. -Ginko’s and Eikichi’s abusive relationship was entertaining throughout the game. Eikichi is also probably now my favorite male character in the Persona series. -The pacing of the story is pretty good. The game moves from one thing to the next and never seems to drag. The game starts with you just checking out random rumors and introduces the real story and the plotline of their past at just the right moment to keep you interested. Most dungeons are kind of short with the exception of one in the middle of the game and the final one. I was playing the game just for the story and was able to beat it in only ~35 hours. Cons: -This game is super easy. The only time i was ever scared of wiping was during the final boss fight. Consumable items are generally pretty cheap compared to in Persona 3 and 4 so I was able to stock up on a lot of SP items. This let me go through dungeons and fights without having to worry about anything because i could replenish my HP and SP all i wanted. This game is up there with Final Fantasy 7 as the easiest jrpg i’ve ever played. -The battle system itself is perfectly fine but it is so damn slow. Painfully slow. Thankfully i was playing on an emulator (i legally own a digital copy but my psp is broken!) and was able to fast forward the game whenever i wanted. -I am not a fan of the demon negotiation system. I’ve started this game and dropped it multiple times probably because of this. This time i used a contact guide so i don’t have to deal with the trial and error and randomness of it all. I was also constantly underleveled. If this game wasn’t so easy, trying to balance out fighting and making contacts for cards might have ruined the game by making you have to grind to farm xp and farm cards separately. Overall: The story and characters carry this game and make it great. It’s a really easy game but the lack of difficulty might actually be a good thing here to limit needless grinding and card farming. Highly recommended as long as you play it on an emulator and can fast forward during battles. 8.5/10

This BF seems better than usual to me. There are newly released games that are dropping to like $30 already for this BF. I don't remember that ever happening before. I even saw Titanfall 2 being $25 somewhere. Infinite Warfare is on sale too and COD is almost never on sale. They are usually still $40 even after a newer COD released. Not sure if you were talking about BF in general or the psn one mentioned though. For psn peoples, there's a one time use code for 10% off. So i guess if you're planning on buying something, put it all in your cart and buy it at the same time with the code for the biggest discount? Also i don't know what the fuck is going on with microsoft but i'm seeing this day one FFXV version for $35. Sounds too good to be true. Maybe an error or not idk. I wish DDS 1 had more story. The world is pretty interesting but there's very little story. Supposedly 2 answers a lot of questions and makes it worth it but i haven't gotten around to playing 2 yet. I own 2 copies of it too because i wanted it digital on my ps3 haha. Since we're talking about megaten in general right now, i also bought Devil Summoner a few years ago but did not like it either. The combat is super clunky and stiff. Too bad because it looks interesting. Eventually i'll finally play a mainline SMT game. Will probably skip the early games and choose between Nocturne or SMT IV.

3 is really good and i like it a lot. But like Cake said, 4 improves on it in pretty much every single way. To me 3 just has the "cool" factor and people look down on 4 because it's lighthearted and silly but i thought that was so refreshing. You don't play a lot of jrpgs that are just fun because they usually are so serious. It's also why i like the first Grandia so much. Persona 4 is honestly like top 3 jrpgs of all time for me. Also i played 3 before 4 so it's not because i played 4 first. I also played 1 and 2 before 3, but i just didn't get very far in. 4's story might not be amazing but the progression of it and how it's told works and pulls you through the game. 3 felt like, hey it's a new month, make sure to do another set of floors before the full moon, maybe you'll get some story maybe you won't. The little story you get and how similar the floors are to each other makes 3 get pretty repetitive. Still a great game, just that 4 is so much better to me. I thought 2's story was really good. It gets a little tough to follow at times but was more interesting than 3 and 4's. And you get to fight a certain historical figure as a boss, come on, that's just an awesome thing to get to say you did lol. @cake yea i probably won't go back to finish 1. I was debating whether to play that or IS but chose IS instead. I remember being kinda annoyed with the grid system when fighting and having players wasting turns because they can't hit anything. Well we have plenty of time until P5 unfortunately T___T lol.

Just beat Persona 2: IS. Really enjoyed it. Will do a review for the review thread soon-ish. My biggest complaint about it would be how unbearably slow it is. Good thing i was playing on a psp emulator and could speed up everything or i might have not been able to deal with it and would have dropped it again. Hopefully EP isn't like that. EP i'm also kinda worried about the encounter rate. idk if it's really high or not because it's an old game. No remake so gonna have to play original ps1 version. Might emulate also in case fastforwarding is necessary in this game too. Updated Persona rankings! Overall: 4 2 3 Story: 2 4 3 (Played half of 1 but didn't finish)

The first 2 eps of Oguri Shun's new Hulu exclusive drama is out but i forgot that Hulu stopped their free ad-supported version. So it's subscription only now and i can't watch it OTL. It looks like streaming sites haven't ripped and uploaded it yet either. Good Morning Call ended up on other streaming sites so hopefully this does too.

I really liked Zenkai Girl. I am a biased as fuck Gakky fan though so there's that I thought it was good tho. The kids were pretty cute too.

Persona 4 Trails in the Sky FC Lost Odyssey To The Moon Those are the ones that immediately come to mind for games that left me sad after seeing the end. Especially Persona 4 and To The Moon. Just hearing Never More or Everything's Alright from those games get me emotional T__T I really should finish Brothers: A Tales of Two Sons one day. Supposedly the end of that is really sad too. I can guess what it is but it's such a short game i should just play it one day.

i put so much time into the DJ Max series on psp. Love them. I stick to 4 buttons though. I think when 3 went to 6 buttons i couldn't handle it. Idk how people can do like 8 buttons on games like Pop'n Music and IIDX

Igor's japanese voice actor died and needed to be replaced. So i guess they changed his english voice actor to match the change and have it be somewhat similar to the new one.
