Been listening to some rediscovered Will Smith cds lately. I forgot how nice it is to listen to a rapper who doesn't feel the need to go hard. Seriously, the diss track "Nice Guy" from 'Lost & Found' has some bite/shade without being straight up rude and offensive. Looking forward to SMTM4, but I doubt that anyone there won't go hard. I like the hard stuff, but it's really nice to have a change of pace artist to show the variety within the genre.

I have only had five emails today and all of them internal. Everything is working fine according to IT. No one wants to play with me today. And I refuse to move around files. My hands are still cut up from doing that on Friday. I hate being bored at work.

I am jealous of the African team...it looked hard, but still fun. So unlike the China or India team. I love it when Kwanghee just lets his mouth go. He was trying to be so upbeat but once he lost it he was more relaxed and easier to watch. He just needs time, but I think he is on his way.

Clementine is a stupid name and Lemon is an even more stupid nickname from it. I hope my sister has another boy.

I died watching ep 38. Literality. I was laughing so hard I couldn't breathe. The "scenarios"...I watched a lot of soap operas during the summer when my mom was at work and I recognized each. and. every. single. one. of those scenes. I love me some trashy drama. It's so entertaining when it's not my life, or anyone else that I care about. It's kinda fun to know that those situations are universally employed and poked fun of. Tayler + Sam affair is life. They were just so like "yay! Let's do this! Who has a wife here? No one!"

why is that the best part of 90% of kdramas happen in the last 30 seconds?!?  the whole episode is 'eh' and then suddenly the guy is getting out of his car and HIS ENTIRE SHIRT JUST RIPS AWAY!  :omg:   Where has this level of excitement been this entire episode!?!?      (it's a new show, High Society, if anyone wants to know.)     and then you have Splendid Politics   [spoiler]how can you end it with kangjoon getting slashed across the back :omg:  leaving the princess defenseless with a mass amount of killers (possibly sent by evil lady yoon, possibly by his best friend/rival's father) on the property :horror: ...and now, her Japanese slave friend isn't really dead, maybe :omg: ....WHAT THE CLUSTER FUCK IS THIS!!?! I don't know if I'll be able to make it until September..my heart may give out before then. I can't handle these endings!!!! [/spoiler]     why can't the standard dramas spread the excitement out a bit more, and why must the excellent drama be so overloaded with exciting bits????  I'm falling asleep during one and my heart just can't the weeklong wait for the other one.  why does it have to be all or nothing!?!?!

I miss my family. But I still don't want to live near them. Absence really does make the heart grow fonder.

Oooooooo....must come back to this thread when not on mobile...I used to average around 105 books a year, down to about 50-60 the last two. I love books so very very much...

Just watched the subbed episode and I didn't think the water stripping was that big of deal. I mean, he & Kwangsoo had already had their shorts pulled off before that. If you take another look at the video you'll realize that Jongkook doesn't even have shorts on at that point. Just his skives and jacket tied around his waist. It's not surprising that he ended up naked since there wasn't much to grab for and that's what they were doing at that point. I mean, they destroyed his shirt too, so it's not just the lower half that they were trying to drag him down by. Personally, it was funny. Every person there was laughing so it's not like anyone was upset about it on set. I really liked watching the Big Bang members spinning around the clocks. For some reason, that low gag made me giggle a lot. Also liked the end when Big Bang said how much fun they had. They really did look like they enjoyed themselves so that was nice to see. Guest who go all in and have fun are what make good shows.

I am still so upset after finding out this is not nearly as long running as I thought it would be. It took me two days just to muster up the strength to watch ep 7, I don't want it to send so soon!!!! I loved how aggressive Cindy has gotten. Ok, you don't notice me, let me make you notice me. Still don't see me? Fine. Let's forget about it....or maybe I'm not ready to give in just yet. It's all up to her, she isn't just sitting there and letting it slip away. LOVE that. Go Ara was really nice to see, and I liked her vide message to Cindy. It was a touching, but believable. I also liked how Yejin and Cindy seem almost friendly now. It's turning out really nicely and I don't want the end to come.

YES!!!!!! I admit to having a bit of a giggle fit at that (and at his brother thinking it might have been a hallucination). I think they are cute and I need cute in my life right now. Now, if only we could get rid of Jiwon's horrendous acting the entire show would be enjoyable. We don't need her, there is plenty of drama remaining. Like big brother/lady driver love line? Who was his dad/her mom? Is her cousin ever coming back with the coffee? I get the feeling that the sister's boyfriend is going to be someone no one likes, which can cause drama. The townspeople turning on her because of the mayor's broken heart. PLENTY of drama without Jiwon. Let's kill her off for being incompetent send her back to Soul.

And now, six/seven months later they are being put to the test again. It'll be interesting to see where they end up and what randomness they have to do. I am staying away from news articles because I want to be surprised. I loved when Joon Ha brought up that the news was like "Will Kim Tae Ho truck the members again?". Thank goodness they never learn. (or at least that they are good at acting like they don't)

Ya'll need to calm down. Its only 6 episodes out what, 24? Of course no love line is solid at this point. How boring would it be for the next 18 episodes if it was? So a guy doesn't notice that a very popular girl likes him and he ends up with a crush on a woman who is suddenly a very active part of his life. That makes sense and it's more interesting in the long run. I do think it will be Cindy in the end, but isn't getting there part of the fun? We all think it's obvious that she's into him, but he's kinda clueless and she hasn't shown her cards to anyone else yet. Also, you know that RJM needs some time to get his self together, he's not going to let TYJ easily, and especially not to BSC. So, just give it time and have faith. Best moment of episode 6 for me: Lee Seung Gi ( ) talking about his club with Yoo Jae Suk and Sean. Ahahahahahahahaha.....I had to hit pause so I could finish laughing out loud. I could totally see that. In fact, I want to see that. And not just because I want to see more Lee Seung Gi.

This is what good acting does. That threesome seems so natural and even though the circumstances for their forming are fairly contrived, they never feel like forced interactions. IU isn't do a bad job, but there is just something about people who are full time actors. It's great to see.

She's like a bulldozer - her acting just hits you in the face with no surprises or hope for anything other than what you see, and what you see isn't that great. It's a shame, every other main cast member was well casted. If it's just one bad apple, then they are doing better than some dramas that I have sat all the way through, but that doesn't say much. It's hard to believe that BGW would fall for someone so obvious, but it's a drama, it is always necessary to suspend some belief.

Ya'll. I am in love. There isn't a relationship that I don't love on here. Ye Jin and Seung Chang are so freaking adorable in the sibling like relationship that they have going on right now. And when Joon Mo told Cindy that the show was 'real variety' and that she didn't need to try hard, just be her self... It's so nice to see not everyone being in love with everyone else. JYP & Hani were fantastic in ep 3. The buffering - The idols in ep 4 were kinda 'meh', but they didn't need to be more than that. CEO Byun, I adore you. Please keep being fabulously selfish and money hungry. When she started her YG conspiracy theory I almost fell out of my chair laughing, then she tried to recruit . Na Young Hee is making good use of her screen time. I love her so much. Sorry, I went a little crazy with the smiles here, but seriously, ya'll. I am in love. Let's just hope that the high production value will continue! I was nervous with the director change, and the only thing I didn't like is the overuse of the focus camera (subject in focus, background out), but that was so minor I will choose to wait and see if it continues before denouncing. I am loving the way that this is being shot overall. It's just slightly different from what I am used to, but it feels so much more 'expensive' and 'high class' in a wonderfully subtle way. Such a great start.

Best part of the episode. "They found mom's hair" and his dad is like 'at your age, what does it matter?' As for his house - he had a really nice view. I am sure it was not a cheap place. Plus the other members were ask saying what a nice looking area it was. Location, location, location.

Sadly, I can't say anything bad about neitzens not appreciating the humor style. We can be finicky over here too. The Office did well, Arrested Development did not. Modern Family had good ratings, 30 Rock did not. I do think that this show has a unique enough premises to survive the usual romcom traps. And even if they do go fully that route, there are still plenty of subtle ways to poke fun that I think neitzens would still enjoy (like my personal favorite from ep 1 - four older women who sounded just like the current 6 male members of 2D1N). Plus, I see the biggest obstacle to any possible romance coming from the crazed CEO, not a family member (could change) which would be slightly unique as well. I guess I'm just really hoping that the show doesn't just become another part of the crowd. The cast is too good for that.

I an kinda sad that they changed directors, but the subtle British style humor is so not Korean so it does make sense. Here's to hoping the quality remains high even with the change.

Is anyone else having a hard time looking at Takuya after watching "The Lovers"? Once his hair shows up blonde in the subs I don't think I'll be able to watch him speaking and not think about him teaching Japanese and everything that happened thereafter. Oh - and as the ONLY representative from his continent, Sam needs more air time. Even if he did get owned in ep 37, it was great to see him actually interacting and not just sitting there.

oh - one other thing, you can find a nice selection of older episodes (and current ones) at kengsub. I was looking at the original post to see if there were episodes recommended that I hadn't seen yet and I noticed that you recommended using DDD for older shows. I have no idea what that is, so I thought I would just put in an extra comment about were I have been able to watch them (with no ads, hate those).

Just watched Kwanghee's first episode and it went well. I died when he said that he liked to have things put in his face. Seriously love that he has almost no filter, here's to hoping it continues to go well.

Episode 2 felt more like a kdrama, so I can see why the reviews went from negative to mixed. (though I really enjoyed the first episode, I don't think Korea is ready for that style). Is anyone else happy that Joonmo & Yejin aren't ex's? I think being lifetime friends would be harder to overcome than two people who's relationship ended badly finding forgiveness and trying again. I look forward to seeing how they play out. question - does no one else use drama fire to view dramas &/or variety?

Totally digging the 'mockumentry' style of the beginning. I was getting some "Best in Show" type of feels and that's always a nice and subtle way to start off the fun. It'll be interesting to see if they continue with it. I don't think it could play out well for very long, but they did make it sound like they would be shooting it for a few work days so I could see it in the next episode as well. Looking forward to seeing where all it goes. Oh - and 2D1N with women....bwahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They sounded so much like the current male members. Edited to add - I can see "The Office" vibes that others mentioned with the mockumentray, but I also got a feel of "Arrested Development" from CEO Byun. Both are highly praised by critics here in the states, but not always by audiences. I can see why the online reaction is lukewarm. It's very British in style, not Korean.
