  1. OMG hihihihi I remember you all!!! Your little brother, so cute! I was tryin to show you I was dressed like TOP, lol. Chris will try and upload that video to youtube so people we talked to can see. He was ready to try for Toronto, haha, but $$$ :rlytearpls: Hope you had a safe trip back--I used to live in Columbus and remember that drive to NY as a real drag...

edit: I apologize if this is supposed to be PM stuff and not posts, pls gently correct an old lady if so, thx :)

Oh that's cool if he ends up uploading the video. Also I really wanted to see them Sunday since the concert just made me want to see them again but I couldn't Bc that's when my family and I drove back to Ohio since we had school Monday. It was a safe trip thankfully but so long now that I didn't have anything to look forward to. I was so exhausted by the time we got home and ahh we live next to Columbus. And don't worry about it! I'm fine with it being a post.

  2. Bahahahahahaha this is HILARIOUS

BIGBANG MADE IN NJ OCTOBER 10, my loooooooong account:

Nicest, friendliest crowd you could imagine, wow. We walked up and down the waiting line talking and filming people--met fans who drove in from Ohio, North Carolina, Virginia, Canada, Maryland...Chinese students now at school in NY, moms with daughters, girls from Brooklyn, etc. Very wide demographic across every age, race, nationality, and gender (lots of guys!). We randomly asked people who their bias was, and the unofficial winner was Daesung! :) My impression was that a lot of people were casual or new fans rather than hardcore VIP. For example, they love Dae but never heard of his V-app show . Or they're just getting into kpop and like a lot of groups so they thought they'd check out BB (of course I guess the more devoted pit crowd was inside already). Boyfriends accompanying their fan girlfriends, etc.

There was a DJ setup in the plaza and people were just hanging out, meeting up, snapchatting, etc. Getting in was super easy and organized, and when we went through the black curtain into the arena I was amazed how 15,000 seats could seem so intimate-- it's a well-designed venue. BB MVs playing on the big screen, cheers for each song and each member's appearance, singing along to the key lines.

Started at around 8:30 with the MADE trailer/movie and man, I love that thing!!! It's like my favorite movie that's not actually a movie lol, it's so freaking well-done, so moody and intriguing. As you probably know they show pieces of it throughout the show and just...wow it's GREAT! Bang Bang Bang opening--that song was meant for this, it is a perfect opener! When the red screens part and BB appears through the smoke...... :ahmagah: The crowd erupts!

Then the older songs-- Tonight, Stupid Liar (my least favorite on this setlist, sorry), Haru Haru, Bad Boy. At the time I thought the crowd singalong parts didn't go so well, like enough people didn't know what they were supposed to do (confess I don't know all the words either), but that might have been just the acoustics where I was, because looking at fancams later it sounded better. Curious if anyone else also felt there was a bit of a sound problem? Something seemed unbalanced to me, or a little out of sync---a few jarring moments, idk. MC and introductions were same as other shows--their English was fab and sweet, TOP did his lapse into Korean after making his big effort, lol.

I agree with someone here who said the solos set was killer--I felt like that's when the crowd was 100% sucked in and with them all the way. So glad Riri did Strong Baby--I've always loved his dancing and suave vibe for that, such a party tune. SEUNGRI--he's hilarious and a great ringmaster. "Make some fucking NOISE!!!" I swear he kept saying "New Jerz"...like, I'm from there and we don't really call it that? And he was using some kind of Sopranos accent--"Yo, New JERZ!!!"---so cute!!!

DAESUNG--like I said, lots of love there for him, and when his voice just opens up it's :lub: so rich and beautiful. I hate knowing that he's got those vocal issues now, because the slight rasp or whatever it is only makes his voice even more emotive. As many have said he wrecks biases left and right, he is soooooo funny and charming, his comic timing is flawless--"do you want to see my EYESSSSSSSSSSS???" and then there's his sexy dance, lordy.... Smiling angel/sinful boy combo is lethal!

TOP Doom Dada, damn. Turns the whole place dark and dangerous and intense. That Mondrian suit is perfect on him. When he goes all mass-media hard it felt like the whole place was holding it's collective breath until he reached the end. Love it. TOP IRL looks exactly like TOP in photoshoots, he is otherworldly handsome.

OMG TAEYANG, TAEYANG, TAEYANG!!! :ilove: He's just....... like when/how did he emerge into what he is now???? First of all he is sooooo beautiful to look at. It's corny but he really is a solar being, he shines! His smile, gawd!!! His voice!!! Gah I don't even have words, so emotional but so subtle and smooth. He really is like the second-in-command of BB, he's a focal point with his singing parts and also with keeping things moving, so comfortable and confident and in control. RISE was really good for him I think. ENL :rlytearpls: is gorgeous in every way.

edit: and his "tiny little hearts" thing hahahaha I love his sense of humor!!!

Now motherfucking GD--- he does zZutter, Good Boy, and Crooked straight in a row and he goes all out, his energy is insane. He gives it EVERYTHING plus extra and deserves so much respect. Kwon Boss! On the group songs he knows how to lay back so every member can have their spotlight, and then he unleashes that rockstar power on the duets/solo and holds the whole place in his hand. Then you remember he's not just performing these songs but writing and producing them too! (this might be a weird and minor observation but I swear he knows just how to gain some weight and then drop a little quickly so he looks just perfect-- healthy and cute and hot all at once...) TOP and GD really play with the vocals on zZutter now, they are very relaxed with it. I'll never get sick of Good Boy's jam, and Crooked is such a crowd-pleaser, everyone jumping by then.

Dae on the drums = more joy and and happiness, Sober keeps the Crooked vibe going. Chapsalteok singalong for BaeBae, full crowd waving and singing for We Like to Party, a kind of swelling feeling in the air as it's nearing the end and by then everyone's hyped and ready for Fantastic Baby. BOOMSHAKALAKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA TOP.

They didn't play around for long at the end like I've seen in some concerts...there was only a little ChoomTOP, storm of confetti is over-the-top and fun, and DAMMIT I DON'T REMEMBER WHAT THE ENCORE WAS...anyone? Wait was it We Like to Party and I got the order wrong? Idk anymore...Of course it felt too short (2+ hours?) but honestly we'd like them to never stop, right? Basically I'd like to see them do 100 songs!

BB is really a LIVE band imo. Listened to a CD I put together on the trip down and ofc the recordings are great, but it's what they do with them LIVE that makes them brilliant. Their distinct personalities and then the combination/interplay, the way they are so sync-ed with each other onstage after years of doing this, that takes the music to a whole bigger and deeper level. Such an accomplishment---when it seems like so many acts just try and duplicate the records, BB music evolves, lives, and breathes, so it really gets inside you.

Ugh, this it too long so I'll stop soon. I hope they felt loved by NYC/NJ--we tried! Wish I had gone to Sunday's show too, but financially and logistically I really couldn't. Also maybe wish I had done the pit/soundcheck etc. package, but don't know if I would have had the stamina. As it was my seats were good enough, but there were a lot of interactions I couldn't see. Will start watching fancams when I need a fix. I felt torn between looking at the screens and looking at them, because I wanted to fully absorb the idea that it was them-- real people performing in real time, right in front of me.

Great night, world-class show, lovely people, best time out in ages. The YB insta contact/my friend's moment of fame was icing on a memorable weekend---so very very happy and proud to be a fan!!!!

Edit: WAIT---IF YOU!!!!!!!! Heavenly, beautiful, classic song, so affecting, heartbreaking, ugh. No more nervous TOP on the beginning, he nails it.

edit: I thought the elaborate stage thingy was pretty unnecessary, the moving aspect didn't add anything. BTW--anyone know if they transport that whole thing to each city and how?

    TL;DR---Kings. Slay. Love. Til whenever....!

Omg so I actually saw you and your friend as you were filming. I was the one who came all the way from Ohio with my little brother and cousin and who all happen to have top as our bias lol. I can't believe the coincidence. Anyways I agree with your review they are amazing and meant to be seen live. There was no weak stage and it was fun from start to finish although it really did seem so short! I love the little made videos in between songs. They were really well done and gave me enough time to sit for a bit since my feet were killing me. If you guys ever have a chance to see them once or again then do it. It's so worth it. Only complaint was that we only got one encore :( and ya it did seem sort of off at the beginning when fans were asked to sing along and it didn't work really well probably bc not everyone knew the lyrics but it did get better when asked to sing along to bae bae and we like to party during the end. All the audience did become a lot more alive when the solo segments started and until the end.

  3. Lol I love zutter!!! So funny and they look fantastic. I need to listen to let's not fall in love more but so far I like it and I really liked the mv too. They all looked so good and I liked how it did capture the feeling of the early beginnings in a relationship. Loved that they all had a different actress! I'm so sad this is over though :( I hope we get more songs next month for the album.

  4. I'm so happy that all of you guys had a great time! Seems like it was a blast which is to be expected if I base it on my experience for the alive tour. I'm so excited for October now. Like even a lot more than I already was. Funny how bang bang bang and good boy got a huge reaction since they weren't that well liked initially. But like always Big Bang make the song live.

  5. Lol the mv for sober is actually pretty lyrical. Like they had an actual taxi for the taxi line haha and and they had seungri throwing money when the lyrics talked about chasing money. I really do love those type of mvs. Love the colors. BaeBae/sober mvs are my favorite bc I love the colors in them. Also drummer dae is everything â¤ï¸

  6. I still prefer the slower songs from these albums lol. So maybe that's why I still like M the most since I love both loser and bae bae a lot. If you might be my favorite song yet though. As for the rest I do think we like 2 party is my least fave followed by sober. Bang bang bang grew on me a lot. Idk I still need time to figure it out. I do have to say my favorite part of sober was seungri's part at the end! So nice.

  7. You didn't know? Old people have the right to be rude. It's what we get for living so long and putting up with so much crap. We get to be rude. We get to cut lines in the store. We get discounts on everything. We get to speak our minds about EVERYTHING, especially things that aren't our business. And we get to drive reckless as fuck. Being old is the shit.

hmm maybe I shouldn't be too sad about becoming old then Hahahah
  8. More upbeat songs? Yes! I do want a slow jam or two, but I prefer the higher energy songs. I can't wait to see what they come up with next.

Thinking the slower songs will be in September since it's the beginning of fall. Fast songs fit summer one. I'm more curious about the fast but emotional one.

  9. Yesh, I'm only just a child. :chu: and WOW so far everyone that said their age is 20+. o.o VIPS are OLD. Where are my fellow 6 year old VIPS. Come on out!!!

im almost 100% sure you aren't really 6. Like 11-13 I would believe it but ya 6 is a bit too young. And haha I'm exactly 20 for now. Will be turning 21 later in the year though ... :(
