Idk why everyone thinks a summer comeback means they're coming back with a summery song. When Wendy said a summer comeback i just thought they'd comeback in summer which means August most likely, i don't think the song is gonna be like Red Flavor because otherwise they would have come back earlier or at least debut July, August is too late...

 

It's definitely gonna be a Red song, or at least a mix but not a summer song imo but i'm always wrong so who knows lol

Oh my gah, was definitely not expecting that. Hahaha. 

I'm part of the 1D and 5H fandoms but I still hope the Blinks win that "Teen Choice Fandom" award. I have no problem in saying my fandoms stink and that the Blinks are some of the nicest people I've met in a while. 

Rosé should just keep her hair red forever. It's beautiful and it fits her name.

Also, can we be completely honest about why Spanish speaking songs like despacito can become huge hits in the US and are played on the radio, it's because a humongous majority of the US population speaks Spanish. The music barely is FOREIGN to the US population with Mexico at our border.

 

So no, I don't agree with K-pop artists entering the US with Korean language songs because less than 5 percent of the country undetstands the language AND even artist from Europe have to sing in English even if they speak Welsh or German. Everyone should be expected to speak and sing in English well.

I'm sorry for not responding sooner, I went to a Harry Styles concert on June 24 so now I'm trying to catch up on the last 16 pages I missed while I was gone in DC.

And yes you are 100% right. Mi Gente and Despacito definitely had it easier than ANY KPop song because sooo many people in the US speak Spanish.

I just hate that Korean people have to like 'change' their song's language in order to get popular in the US. Except for Gangnam Style, but let's be quite honest here, people loved that song because it was a meme and the dance was easy to make fun of (I'M NOT INSULTING PSY WHEN I SAY THAT, if anything I'm insulting the US).

BTS are trying soo hard and I am honestly rooting for them even if I'm not a fan but you are completely right. The US 'wants' songs that they can understand OR that they can make fun of/meme. And I don't want BP breaking out with a meme, so... yeah.

Where can I request someone to make a signature for me??? I looked at the GFX section but there's no "signature request" topic???

If YG does push to the US, don't do english versions of songs...if anything that has hurt every group/artist trying to make it in the US than has helped. 

 

And also foreign language songs have broken into the mainstream way more often than not. Despacito is a big one people tend to forget about. 

Yes but Despacito and Gangnam Style were the only two that really got... HUGE. BTS' songs have gotten into the Billboard Top 40 but so far haven't gotten HUGE on the radio the way those two did (and I'm not trying to insult BTS/start a fanwar so please don't think that).

You're not wrong about the English versions thing though. I really hope BP stay away from that.

Okay I can't deny it any more. I am obsessed with this group. They are THE ONE who is finally pulling me down into KPop with the rest of my friends who went from being 1D fans to being KPop fans. BlackPink is THAT GROUP, the way BTS and EXO have been for my friends.

Red Velvet lit the match but BlackPink set my heart on fire. I am in love with these girls, and they are my newest obsession/hyperfixation. They are MY GROUP. I am ready to dive headfirst into everything about them, choose a bias, be there if they ever come to the US, everything. They are the ONES.
