I'm sorry for not responding sooner, I went to a Harry Styles concert on June 24 so now I'm trying to catch up on the last 16 pages I missed while I was gone in DC. And yes you are 100% right. Mi Gente and Despacito definitely had it easier than ANY KPop song because sooo many people in the US speak Spanish. I just hate that Korean people have to like 'change' their song's language in order to get popular in the US. Except for Gangnam Style, but let's be quite honest here, people loved that song because it was a meme and the dance was easy to make fun of (I'M NOT INSULTING PSY WHEN I SAY THAT, if anything I'm insulting the US). BTS are trying soo hard and I am honestly rooting for them even if I'm not a fan but you are completely right. The US 'wants' songs that they can understand OR that they can make fun of/meme. And I don't want BP breaking out with a meme, so... yeah.

Yes but Despacito and Gangnam Style were the only two that really got... HUGE. BTS' songs have gotten into the Billboard Top 40 but so far haven't gotten HUGE on the radio the way those two did (and I'm not trying to insult BTS/start a fanwar so please don't think that). You're not wrong about the English versions thing though. I really hope BP stay away from that.

Okay I can't deny it any more. I am obsessed with this group. They are THE ONE who is finally pulling me down into KPop with the rest of my friends who went from being 1D fans to being KPop fans. BlackPink is THAT GROUP, the way BTS and EXO have been for my friends. Red Velvet lit the match but BlackPink set my heart on fire. I am in love with these girls, and they are my newest obsession/hyperfixation. They are MY GROUP. I am ready to dive headfirst into everything about them, choose a bias, be there if they ever come to the US, everything. They are the ONES. I LOVE YOU BLACKPINK. <333
