I'm kind of a similar mind that the song was just... really short? Like I like it! I really do like the beat and the chant but I kinda wanted more vocal and verses to it, even if they kept the chorus mostly that dance break. Eagerly looking forward to the album though.

Perhaps but then the reasoning you give still doesn't make any sense of it being a financial burden on TXT especially since that's just guess work when we have no idea how it works (But i've never heard of post-debut stuff costing the group). And even then, wouldn't it have been more of a financial burden on BTS to have done WAB2 than for TXT to have a follow-up? TXT have amazing numbers. There's just no reason for "financial burden" to be the reasoning behind not giving TXT something that they had given BTS, whether or not they do things differently. We also have to keep in mind that promoting on music shows *also* costs money. It probably costs a lot more than the music video and we see how many unknown groups go on those for weeks--investing in hope that they might get some attention due to their performance. As far as Cat & Dog not being a good choice well that one is just more of an opinion than anything else. Internationally, at least, it's the most popular song after Crown. I'm not sure what Koreans think of it but it seems to be doing well anyway. In the end, they'll attract people no matter what they followup or comeback with because people all have different tastes. Like if they had had Nap of a Star as their title, then I probably wouldn't have found them as interesting because I think ballads mostly make for a boring promotion unless used as a B-side to the title (like Butterfly with RUN)--yet that sound generally is more suited to "korean gp taste".

Rich companies don’t tend to have a trainee debt (and do we know that post-debut stuff adds to it? I’ve never heard that before) and even then lots of groups have follow ups, particularly rookies. BTS has WAB2 for instance. Companies try to have rookies come back as much as possible to get them out there—they need to invest. If BTS could afford it, TXT definitely can but I don’t think that’s how it works anyway. BH would be dumb to not give them a followup.
