I hope to the gods that they get it and I'll be disappointed if they don't because they honestly do deserve it. It's basically been a YG tradition to be a monster rookie and they fall no short of it, but especially amazing since they did not have the backing of ANY show. Not that our other YG groups aren't impressive as hell on their own merit, but to be this powerful (even if it was years in the making) with no real predebut promotion is crazy. Their youtube views and charting for their debut are the closest things to 2NE1/Miss A that we've seen in years. And purely from an emotional standpoint, these girls have been promised debut and let down for 4 years now. And yet they've kept going through all of it and they killed. I'm sure they're just happy to have debuted but if there's a YG group that is going to break the rookie winning tradition, it should not be them because they've worked ridiculously to get here. THAT SAID, If they lose I'm still going to be okay because the only other reasonable group is IOI who are amazing in their own right and have worked super hard, and they have to disband next year. Our girls will get more chances and are hopefully going to be a successful, tight knit group for years to come. They're probably one of the groups with the longest trainee time for the newest member right (Rosé with 4 years)? A lot of groups' newest members are like 1-2 years training.

oh thank god i didn't miss day 1 just finished a ten page paper and had to resist being distracted by Twice's TT BIAS: while i am blackpink trash, I'd say my bias is future hair cf model Rosé. Without You was one of the first GD songs I heard and I wasn't even particularly sure why I liked it as much as I did but I soon realized that that beautiful voice of the girl I knew nothing about drew me towards that song. That song is still like top of my playlists and I never skip it or Rosie's part!!! ofc Jisoo is my bias wrecker tho. She's actually so cute and talented and charming in addition to being the visual?? Hope we see her funny side in variety soon. Rly all the girls are beautiful and talented and funny and beautiful and great tho I hope we get something wednesday since their debut teasers were released on wednesdays too. just a few more days, friends

But anyway, T-minus 8 days before SQUARE TWO? I hope YG releases like any kind of teasers because a week is so close but so far. I mean I'm just happy that we're actually getting a release in the first place. But we kind of need something to keep us till then. If no vocal teasers (a la 2NE1's MY) which is the ideal, then at least more D-5 - D-1??? I just wna see them, YG. I just wanna see them. Hopefully we get somethinganything Monday...

I'm loving the onset of Jensoo and Chaelice from NYLON. May Square Two bring us much more! I hope we see them interact with Nayeon! Since they both know Lena, do you think it's possible they know Jihyo, Jungyeon, and Sana (6MIX) or mayb the other Twice members too?

I'm way late. Saw this yesterday but I've been too busy to say anything. Rest assured I've been spontaneously combusting on the inside. I'm so shook. They ALWAYS have me soooooo shooooooook. I agree that Lisa's hair is starting to look like her predebut, I love it. And Jennie really is transitioning into that ombre hair, it suits her! Reminds me of her trainee days. Can we also appreciate the Chaelice and Jensoo that Nylon be giving us? It's what I've craved for so long. Cute!

I wonder how much they speak it. Even though 3/4 of 2NE1 (3/3 now ) were very conversational to fluent in English, they hardly spoke it to each other and I think it's because the three of them have different levels of confidence in it. But Jennie and Rosé lived in English speaking countries for years and I feel like Lisa is probably better than BamBam. I really wanna hear the accénts.

So close to 50mil and in only a little over 2 months. If we're going by precedent, I can see the fanclub name having Black or Pink in it tbh. WINNER and INNER CIRCLES, iKON and iKONICS. Now it doesn't necessarily have to go by precedent at all, but it seems the most likely that it'll be like BLINKS or PINK ____ (pink mafia for example) rn.

I just requested my badge! So excited! It still feels surreal sometimes that they debuted and they're a group. I mean... they are not as long as YG keeps them in the dungeons, but we still have memories and false dreams.

I'm like so cautiously optimistic. What sucks is that we know that have one video filmed and one that they're filming but if it were up to YG it could be years before it's ever released But I hope they come back soon! And he follows through on variety shows. I too need to see Rosé mop the floor in 2x speed

Welcome to the thread! Rosé really is amazing, I've been stanning her since 2013 when I first heard her voice.

I hope that since they're filming their mv, there will be a lot of that included for BPTV, just like 2NE1. I'm still excited for that "hope she was worth it" set, that looks like it's gonna be killer (unless that was proven to be fake???) I want a ballad just to hear them show what they're really capable of vocally. But I will not complain about bangers. I want them to have a lot of diversity like 2NE1 did. That kind of versatility will be unmatched.
