Guys, my IMMEDIATE thought when I saw GD's style was.. WIPER from ONE PIECE! HAHA. WIPER is freakin' cool in the manga tho, just like GD. :/
-
They are kids. Newer group fandoms consist of mostly kids. There's no denying that. VIPs have gone way past that stage already. Also, what's up, people! GD should be the next YG artist to make a comeback, that's gonna be incredible. IMO, he'd have multiple releases (it's not GD or BIGBANG if there isn't). First one would maybe be around his first concert? And then, maybe 1 title song per week until BP decides to comeback.
-
Just like that, GD's back. 0:20 of UNNIES' new title track (which just topped the charts). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0pt_320iLI That's the part that Somi fangirled over, but apparently it's now sung by everyone. 'i'm the celebrity of celebrities.'
-
For sure. They seem alright with it. With all the BIGBANG concerts almost every other week, it must be difficult preparing for trips and things like that. Well, at least if you're gonna be busy, be busy for the most legendary ones eh? Haha.
-
Guys, don't let GD's and Youngbae's SLAYAGE & DESTRUCTION of K-pop music (again) distract you from the fact that RUN, BIGBANG SCOUT Ep 4 is comin'.
-
Agreed. Insane flow. And his 'stop-start' switching between the rhythms are incredible too. Love the part where he rotates with PSY and then raps 'zutter'. Damn unique. Youngbae's song's beat drop reminds me of something Justin Bieber would do (IN A GOOD WAY). It's EDM, but a very sweet and summerish kind of beat drop. WHAT WE NEED~ IS~ THE LOVE~ de de de de de~
-
Guys, I'm getting emotional listening to these 2. 2 very different genres. An EDM and an OG Maco type of rap. Alternate between them and you can feel the difference in colours of GD and Youngbae. Incredible, considering they're in the same group and singing the same songs since debut. Not like we don't know how great they are as soloists, but damn. To think that they're this huge such that there's no need to hold them back from 'competing' with each other being part of someone else's album. Haha.
-
Damnnnnnnnn. Things like this make me prouder as a fellow VIP tbh. 'BIGBANG cater to all age-groups'. And she already knew the lyrics to the songs when she was 2? LOL.

Is the next episode in 1 hour's time, or tomorrow? Just wanna say I'm very happy for Daesung. I've always felt that he should have been on more regular varieties ever since Family Outing (he was incredibly famous on that show and brought BIGBANG alot of ahjumma fans). This may just be for abit, but him on variety (PLUS, the fact that it's a music one this time, where he can showcase his singing talent), makes it incredible. And his promotions as a soloist has been very good too, considering GDYB are still to come this year. I was expecting Daesung to be chillin' this year, but man, he seems to be enjoying it too. You can tell from his Dome tour. I'm curious as to when you guys think Youngbae's LEXUS song would come out. Considering the YG comebacks coming up. I would have said it'd be within the next few days, before PSY, but we should be getting something by now if that's the case.

Click here to view the Tweet Is it just me, or is his cornrows gone? This is the closest style to his mohawk that we've gotten since.. his mohawk.

Lols. The answer is simple, seriously. It's actually one of the reasons why we stan them in the first place. I know it sounds cliche, but it's the BIGBANG swag. When GDYB released Good Boy, my first thought was, yeap, this is definitely GDYB and those moves can't be done without swag. They destroyed MAMA with that performance. Unless you have enough swag like YG artistes, you can't pull off that song. There's a reason why they're from other companies in the first place. Lols. Damn, this sounds incredibly cliche, but you guys know what I mean.

TAEYANG's NEW SONG @ SEOUL MOTOR SHOW. Sang a small part live. LIT AS F. Guaranteed chart-topper!
-
HAHAHA. Damn LIT. When I first heard, I was like.. Damn, car shows do have some dope ass intro music.. And then I realise it's YOUNGBAE's VOICE. GG.

He still is tho. He's born to dance. Yeah, too bad for them. But at least they do respect him without having experienced that era.
-
Did he just call his younger brother 'sunbaenim'? Lols. All the appearances where he mentioned Youngbae, I felt that he's too low on self-esteem. I mean, Youngbae is OP, but at least have some pride in being an older brother. Lols. Being confident while promoting helps to gain respect too. He's too nice.
-
Lols. This is too awesome. Not like we don't know but BIGBANG are legit bosses. All of them have got too much charisma. This is why they're respected. They are serious in their work, have control over their own stages and most importantly, are able to hold nothing back when things go wrong because they're alphas. When your maknae is a CEO, you know you are top.
-
Ps, can I get a summary on what this all about? I get the rough idea of a conflict and bans, but to what extent is it and how will it affect BIGBANG and K-pop in general?
-
Adding on to that, T.O.P is actually the original underground rapper that became an idol and popularized baritone rapping. Underground rappers (or true rappers, by their own terms) never cared about K-pop. You now see lots of them training in agencies and trying to debut, but T.O.P is the original idol who can actually rap because of his underground experience. K-pop had shit cringey raps in the past cause it wasn't seen as important, but BIGBANG made it important. T.O.P made baritone rapping with his low voice popular. Agencies now try to debut anyone with a low voice as rappers in their groups because of T.O.P. It wasn't mentioned much, but there's no denying it. People went crazy when they listen to BIGBANG songs in the 00s because 'shyt, this guy's voice is incredibly low and he's actually good'. OFF-TOPIC: Does anyone have experience eating at Samgeori Butchers/ AORIRamen (Seungri's Ramen)/ GD's Cafe? How popular are they in Korea?

It's funny because I'm a proponent of having a R&B dance comeback AND being okay with not doing the full choreos during his concert. What I meant was that he definitely should return with a dance performance because he's famous and respected for it, BUT not having to do it tiringly for all his concerts. BIGBANG don't do much music shows anyways (compared to others), so maybe 2 music shows with full performances and then dance snippets for his concerts. The dancing isn't that important because what people notice and would go crazy over is the dance performance video. That's enough. Ringa Linga got praised all over the globe for it. You guys may be abit pessimistic on whether he would ever comeback with a full choreo track, but there's no doubt in my mind that he would. Heck, I'd say the other members would even remind him to return to his roots. For Youngbae, dancing isn't a chore. He only had 2 days to learn Ringa Linga from Gobel and he did it perfectly. Other artists might go crazy practicing them choreos, but I'm certain it would be easy af for Youngbae and he would love it. Same for the smooth R&B aspect. Maybe I'm just an optimistic person, but I don't doubt that he would have some tracks that are classic easy and smooth R&B, maybe 1 or 2 amongst his B-sides. I'm not too sure about the albums too. It seems to me like all 4 of them are gonna return this year (Daesung in Japan), but that's just too good. Lols.
