Nayeon and Jungyeon got really close with Tzuyu and so cute watching them comfort her in the last episode   

I don't get why some folks keep on moaning about Twice final line-up lacking vocally for only having one main vocal. Did these people actually watch the show? Jihyo might be the sole main vocal, but Nayeon, Jungyeon, Momo, Tzuyu and Chaeyoung can all sing. The likes of Sana, Mina can at least carry a tune. They're not lacking vocally. They're actually very balanced.

lets be real, no other kpop gg will ever reach the success that kara and snsd had in japan because the hallyu wave is dead there nowadays. Japanese people dont need to look for japanese idols in kpop when they already have a ton of idols there, I am a fan of akb groups too but comparing is nonsense lol, AKB group have their own variety shows and theaters where you can literally go to see them perform everyday lol not to mention the handshake and senubatsu events that they do Which is also a vey important factor in their succes with physical sales.

 

Tzuyu being covered by a national tv station is bringing attention to twice, now tell me if that's not a benefit lol

 

And concerts? we can talk about this when they debut lmao, but the truth is that considering the concept that jyp is going for with twice I doubt they can get popular there. Also do you think they cant do concerts in China and Taiwan? Do you think they can't get Endorsement deals in Taiwan/china? That Tzuyu won't get lots of acting projects there?, part of the success that EXO have with their physical sales is thanks to their chinese fans btw.

 

The taiwanese/chinese market is easier to break into than the japanese one so lets not get ahead of ourselves here. and saying that sana and mina are gonna bring more benefits to twice than tzuyu ever will is not true because in japan things will depend on the whole group/music not only in 1 or 2 members.

Japan is more closed in with their media and really I doubt they haven't noticed just that they rarely pay attention (J-pop is still hot in Japan and though having a K-pop idol that is Japanese is great and all but in all honesty I don't think Japan would hype their popularity.

 

Example just look at how Heo Youngji noona  (yes she;s Korean) but managed to gain a lot of votes) reason why she managed to get all the votes was because she too has a huge Japanese fan base though people are quiet

I'm surprised Natty is last... I know everyone is concerned about her age but if you look in the YouTube comments, a good half of them are "Natty Fighting!!"

Most of her fans are Thai, maybe Thai fans haven't figured out how to vote on Milk.

Uncommon opinion because she's known for her dancing, but for me Momo actually had the prettiest voice. Whenever she sung, I'd just go       Especially in her teaser

Just because they all sound"sweet" doesn't mean they sound the same or aren't unique as some ppl think

You can easily differentiate all their voices

After watching Episode 9 there is no way Tzuyu wouldn't make it after getting interviewed by Taiwan news and constantly being in Taiwan publicity

Yeah that's true.

but

1) Somi is still a bad singer. She is an okay at rap. So comparing someone bad to another person who is bad, doesn't really prove anything.

In this example both Somi and Tzuyu are admittedly not finished products. They both have not had the training that the other Sixteen girls, and many Kpop artists have had

2) Chaeryeong is definitely a better dancer than Tzuyu. Again however try being FAIR. Chaeryeong is better than every girl on the show in dancing, except Momo in Momo's own 1 particular style. So the fact that Chaeryeong is a dance prodigy... I mean think about it JYP wanted her on the show so much that he put her AND HER SISTER on the show. Her big sister minus the existence of Chaeryeong would never have been put on the show a year after training. Think how GOOD you have to be to not only put yourself but YOU + ONE on the #1 girl group audition show of all time...

Chaeryeong being BETTER doesn't mean anything about whether Tzuyu deserves to be on the squad. For example in SNSD Hyeyeon is a better dancer than Yuri. However, Yuri brings a lot as a dancer to the group. She is a brighter and also more sexy dancer than Hyoyeon and having her in the group along with Sooyoung backing up Yoona makes the entire ensemble seem taller and more glamorous. I mean SNSD has a reputation of having "long legs" even though half of the group are midgets. If you remove Yuri and Yoona from SNSD (both of whom are "worse" dancers than Hyoyeon) it completely changes the feel and image that SNSD gives off, and also how popular they could have been.

Tzuyu definitely brings a different style from the other girls on the show. And she gives a great performance vibe on the show. Anyone has to admit that she draws in eyeballs when she's on the stage.

It is true that if she wasn't BOTH 1)Chinese 2)super pretty she wouldn't even be in the conversation and if you're comparing each girl and saying this or that person "deserves" to be in the group based on their individual accomplishments versus what each other girl can do then no Tzuyu doesn't "deserve" on her talents to "beat" the other girl in this or that area

but this isn't a talent contest. They're not picking solo artists. They're choosing MEMBERS of a GIRL GROUP based on what they ADD to the group.

It's not a hard concept. Pretend you're making a soup. You already got plenty of salt in there. Now you're going to add some spice to add to the overall flavor. All of the sudden some 15 year old jihadist comes running in yelling "SALT TASTES SALTIER THAN SPICE IT'S NOT FAIR TO ADD SPICE WHEN EVERYONE KNOWS SPICE IS LESS SALTY THAN SALT. WHERE'S THE JUSTICE" and dumps 10 spoons of salt in there.

When the group already had enough dancers and singers so JYP is satisfied, he's looking for other colors. People need to stop ranting and being mean about "this person dances 2% better IMO" or "that person can sing louder" etc. That's not what this show is about.

Put it this way, Nichkhun says the year he joined JYP, JYP scouts went to like 10 countries and saw tens of thousands of kids... he was the ONLY one scouted from all those international auditions that year... Tzuyu was personally scouted by a JYP executive after seeing her in a dimly lit youtube video for 2 minutes.... only a retard can argue that she doesn't have "it" to be a star if JYP gives her a chance, helps her and promotes her

To be clear I'm not bashing Somi, Natty or whoever. I think that Somi and Chaeryeong also have some star power. So actually IMO if JYP chose any of those 3 I could entirely understand. The argument however is that someone brings nothing because someone else does something marginally better. That I don't agree with and it isn't at all what JYP is doing on this show
