  Can't be sure, maybe they had emotion-sensing equipment. JK what do you expect office workers to know about vocal technique when their background "listening to a lot of music"?

  They were basically looking for high note hitters (just get there even if you're in your throat) like this baritone he killed Ring of Fire by cash but they said no. Im not a baritone but I knew how to use my breath (what with my loose jaw and all), projection wasn't all that bad and didn't lose pitch but I didn't even get a single vote.

  They said I wasn't a trained singer, that I liked to sing. Like sunovabish everyone else uses their throat to sing in my school and a larynx vibrato and they got selected.

Today I sucked at a talent hunt thingy.   But it's okay because everyone can learn to sing :')

  oooh. So in which case would we use the term "two semitones" instead of a note? Like I think I saw someone write Chanyeol lowered All Of Me by two semitones to sing it. Why not use a "lowered by a note?"

  6 "full" notes, does that mean between the Cs?   He was referring to an octave as a single scale.

octave is 8 notes right my music instructor says its 12 isnt it 12 semitones?

  Lol are you a boy? I used to squeeze out a Bb5 but now I do that with less tension and squeeze C6s. xD Just relax, keep on projecting your relaxed notes and one day you'll gain another one.

  *cough* falsetto.   The way I figure out notes is figure out which note a singer sings in a song, perform the note I want to find out in falsetto even if it's within my reachable range (just make things quicker if I haven't vocally warmed up) and try to find out which note in which song in my memory does that note correspond to. (if any of this makes sense haha)

  And Taemin doing less means he has the tendency to go wrong on lesser occasions (vocal runs which he only does in a high range with resonance if I remember correctly, usage of other registers), but still with that consistency, production itself and very occasional B4s his high notes are better which is what every idol singer is trying to do save for Chen whose lower notes are just <3. Yonghwa is actually nasal throughout and raises his larynx below mid-4th octave.   Basically what's good is too darn good and what's not is just meh. Very meh. I do think he's placed fine, he is above above average if you don't look at the scale ^_^

  That's cause his mix is on par with vocalists above his category if not better . They had to fit him somewhere with that skill level lol he's got the best high notes among the idols listed + none besides the super!Taemin have reached B4 with resonance.

  Lol All I need is a healthy vibrato since I can't sing a song without changing it with my own ideas. I can't reach those high notes but I'm not impatient, I'll get there when I get there. (*Slides in a falsetto at every high note in Wildflower*) I tried to sing lighter today and I sounded just like I did before I hit puberty XD I can't transition well into falsetto when singing light though.   Oh and my instructor is quite young, into old songs. Older than you probably though haha   EDIT: I see another baritone analysed. ^__^ *gives cookie*

  I have laxity, I can end up permanently slackening my jaw if I open my mouth wide continously. :P
