first, hello to everyone. it's been awhile.
2nd tweet is more accurate.
just wanna also add what perhaps some have overlooked, bangtan's reason for going to jpn is first and foremost to promote which is what they have been consistently doing for the past years. every time there is a new single out they partner it with a fanmeet or a concert, sometimes announcement of the fanmeet/concert will be earlier than the info abt the music release. i believe they utilize their schedules to the fullest. music station regular show guesting was kinda expected as part of promotion, now the other special shows were for consideration since they have gotten to be globally renowed artists especially this year, but nothing official. it caused more shock to release such article after the cancellation of music station knowing that they continue to remain silent and some media have been having a feast day to make matters worst. having them on these special programs would have to be firsts in their career and would help elevate their future jpn related activities and international activities as well. with the recent events unfortunately, it is really difficult for them to appear in these special programs.
this issue will not stop immediately, and it'll be a point of countless discussions, let's try our very best to uplift the spirits and encourage our fellow ARMYs to check out different viewpoints and articles available. refrain from lashing out and do more research before engaging on various platforms online.

[Oricon] BTS, Foreign hip-hop singer first place record update "Thanks to everyone" 180410
Korea's seven-member male hip-hop group BTS's 3rd Japanese album 'FACE YOURSELF' (released 4/04) sold 282,000 copies and debuted at number 1 in Oricon Album Ranking dated 4/16 (period: 4/02-08).
It is the third time they ranked 1st in album following their previous 5th Korean album 'LOVE YOURSELF 承 ’Her’' (released Sept 2017). They have maintained themselves updated with the most record of 'the number of albums in first place by a foreign hip-hop artist' with three albums.
The album first week sales of 282,000 copies exceeded WANIMA's 'Everybody!!' (released 1/17)
first week cumulative sales of 205,000 copies, tentatively ranking 1st among the male artist category for the first half of this year. By way of male & female (artists), exceeding 250,000 copies for foreign artist's album on its first week, it became a great achievement because it has been 6 years and 4 months since the record of KARA's 'SUPERGIRL' (released Nov 2011, first week sales: 275,000 copies) on 111205.
BTS thanked the fans and said, "Our 3rd album 'FACE YOURSELF' ranked number 1 in Oricon Weekly Albums Chart. The update on foreign hip-hop artists first place record, we are happy to let ARMY know about these good news before the Japan fan meeting. Thank you very much. It is all thanks to everyone who always supports us." They sent a message saying, "We are working hard in preparing for the Japan official fan meeting which will start on the 18th, so please anticipate it a lot."
This album includes their 7th Japan single 'Chi, Ase, Namida' (released May 2017) which ranked 1st in weekly singles ranking, 8th single 'MIC DROP/DNA/Crystal Snow' (released Dec 2017), 'Don't Leave Me' which is the theme song of the drama starring Sakaguchi Kentaro 'Signal: Long-Term Unsolved Case Investigation Team' which will start airing today 4/10 (Kansai TV/Fuji TV).i have to lit catch up on so many bangtan updates, thanks everyone

i just checked for million/western music/album, no other korean artist aside from ryu/sun (winter sonata ost)Wow, we are still getting more than 1,000 copies weekly for "Love Yourself: Her" on Oricon. I think we might get 100,000 before charting out, only 12,000 left.
I wonder if it will be certified GOLD then... I remember "Winter Sonata OST" getting MILLION and it was marked as "洋楽 (western music)". I'm not sure if any other artist from Korea got certification not for Japanese but Korean album ever since then. I don't recall any.
