Friendships throughout life almost feel like a fucking game show. You make so many friends, but so few of them actually stick with you for the long run. Start with K3 and K4. I had friends back then at my school but I changed schools, after that I never saw them again. Then I started primary school and went to school with the same people for 12 years. I made lots of friends in Primary school, of course some that I have not talked to since then and then I have some that I’m still friends with. But friendship changes when you’re an adult. When you’re a kid, you just want to have a buddy at school or whatever to hang out with. You don’t understand things that complex at that age, like friendship. It’s so simple when you’re young.. Then you get older and more complex issues we have to deal with arise. Things like girlfriends or just other middle school-high school shit. In middle school, I had a little squad. We were all bros, but nothing lasts forever. I’m no longer friends with two of those guys because of some personal issues we’ve had, so they’re gone. I knew them for years and years and they were just gone like it’s nothing. I still talk to a few of those guys, so they stuck around. It’s like a gameshow. You start out with a bunch of friends, but there can only be a few, “winnersâ€. After High School, I had that same friend group but I began to make other friends, online mostly. That was in the last year or two, and literally all of them are gone out of my life now, minus a couple. More people that I was pretty good friends with, but eventually that wasn’t the case. Haven’t talked to them in a long time. Friends just come and go, and it sucks, man. I’m already seeing this happen with my college friends because there are some issues going on in my friend group (thankfully I am not involved). Friends are irreplaceable, especially those that stick with you through thick and thin. I’m fortunate to say that I have a best friend who is like family. I’ve known him since I was a child and we’ve stuck together through thick and thin. He’s essentially a part of my family. Then of course I have some other great friends who have stuck with me through thick and thin and I love them. I’m glad to say that they are my friend because they’re great people. They say you lose friends and get new ones every 7 years.. that’s pretty true honestly. In the end, it’s all about who sticks with you no matter what. A harsh reality that I hate dealing with is that not all friendships last. Honestly, a lot of them don’t. It’s really rare to find someone that sticks with you and you stick with them for years and years, but goddamn, is it a great feeling knowing that there are people that you have THAT strong of a connection with.
