  1. Gotta clap for the cinematography again. That transition during Oh Yeon Joo''s drowning scene from bathroom to Han River thooooooooo, ITS SOLID A+

I love every bits of it. And honestly im looking forward for episode 7 and 8 since the preview looks amazing. And i want to see them being lovey dovey mutually. Got a hunch, Oh Seung Moo will have more role other than a dad who obsessed at killing his own drawing since that arc had already wrapped up this week (probably) please do so, he's too amazing and he needs more exposure. Don't forget Lee Tae Hwan. I WANT HIM IN ACTION AS WELL

  2.

I find both of them Oh Seung Moo and Kang Chul mirrors each other fears thats what i get from having him frantically accusing Seung Moo being sick of writing Kang Chul after what Kang Chul essentially 'gave him' and Seung Moo shouts that he lives in fear and nightmare the same as how Chul stated he dreamt himself drowning in the river. Im kind of frustrated that dad did not elaborate his fear, his own fear is not well explained to the object of the fear itself. Because somehow i relate to his feeling after countless time seeing your own drawing 'rebelling' you countless times that it must bring you nuts. Who could hold onto that ? I mean Kang Chul can, because he's the opposite of dad and thats the problem. He's not as strong willed like his own drawing, he's weak and obsessed with killing. If he could disclose that feeling i think Kang Chul would at least understand his obession to kill him, because he believed that Seung Moo try to kill him after being sick of drawing Chul - and i don't know why thats become my priority here -

and technically i saw Seung Moo as Kang Chul's father as he was the one who created him, i couldn't shake that feeling the entire time. eventough Chul doesn't see him that way, he sees him as a mere ruthless violent writer desperate on making him living in hell everyday.

BUT DANG I WANT TO PUNCH DAD A LOT FOR TRYING TO PISS KANG CHUL'S OFF. IM LIKE 'STOPPPPPPPPPPP RUBBING THE SALT TO HIS OPEN WOUNDS' and welp he rebelled after being constantly insulted of 'i made you this way i made you that way' as if he doesn't his own free will. I mean i'd be pissed too if i was him

    It was good.

Thank god internet because they kept those self taken pictures forever. I enhanced my zooming skills and noticed the background he looks like he was on a studio or dance practice room. Idk. Im hallucinating

  4. Yeah, Gong Mi's character wasn't well-developed, either. ALL she was was a lousy sister. The way the show was described, I would've thought she would've figured more into the story. She was nothing more than a filler character, however. Even with some of the lousy character-development issues, I did like the show and if was titled differently and the show was described differently, it would've been better all-around, I think.

Same. I still liked it regardless. I love the dynamics between Namgoong Min and Minah and Oh Joo Hwan. They were a cute trio.

  5. The first half were amazing, the second half was meh. I tried to leave but i couldn't before letting Joon Soo have his own happy ending. HE'S TOO PRECIOUS !

I watched the final two episodes and, all in all, it wasn't a bad show. It's a shame that the main character was put in the background for much of the second half of the run, though.

What irks me the most is how they tried to show Gong Mi redeem herself by apologizing to Joon Soo instead of her sister. She tried everything possible to sabotage Gong Shim and her happiness. That's the person she should've apologized to. At least they could've shown Joon Soo tell her to pound sand or something. That would've made it more palatable to me.

Im honestly feeling really bad for the actress and the character of Gong Mi itself, she was never developed and barely had any endearing scenes to explore. She has the quality of a possible villain during the 'fire Gong Shim arc' (idk if its worth to called as a villain, but i actually really like that arc) what a shame that she literally become a wallflower for being the second lead, at least Oh Joo Hwan had the kidnapping story line to deliver the depth of his character (and he was really amazing on it) while Gong Mi barely had any wrapped up stories. What a shame. I still like it tough

  6. I am from South Sumatera, and I live in the biggest city of the province, Palembang. Where are you from ?

Actually, most of the time if a muslim marry a non-muslim, the non-muslim will most likely convert to Islam (voluntarily or not), or at least their son/daughter will be raised as a muslim. There is an famous actress, Asmirandah converted to Protestantism and many people hate her because they thought she was a 'murtad' or commited an apostasy. Yes, our constitution protect the religion minorities as they recognize 6 traditional or 'main' religion of Indonesia but it's just all bullshit. Many muslims will do anything to prevent more church being built. Few years ago many church were closed by police because they didn't have the proper 'license'.

Yeah, at least in my city. On big occasions like christmas, or easter the church will be heavily guarded and like i said there's metal detectors placed on entrances just like at airport. Muslims in Indonesia may be more open minded and less extreme compared to those in middle east, but most of them are still really militant and obsessed about religion. I am a religious person myself, but I never brought up topics about religion unless someone ask me or if I was really close with the person then I would talk about religion. Or at least, I will shut my mouth and not say anything unless I have something nice to say about other people's religion. While some of my friend repeatedly telling me if I convert to Islam, I will be reborn as sinless just like a baby, and get many perks etc etc etc or if not I will burn in hell lol. And most of them are quiet 'delusional' about religion. Like believing that in moon (yes, the moon that neil armstrong went) you can hear adzan (Muslim call to prayer), or there's an unique magnetic field around mecca that nobody can explain  :imstupid: . I'm not hating the Muslims anyway, but I'm just telling the truth, that's how most of them are at my hometown at least.  I'm not an islamophobe, not in the slightest. I have many muslim friends (yes, the same friend that tell me I will burn in hell forever unless I convert to their religion), and I respect all religion. Sometimes I even heard muslim's dakwah (preaching) because the preacher was quite funny. And because I don't know any radio station in Palembang that broadcast catholic/christian preacher lol. Many muslims are hating the oriental orthodox christian too because both religion has kinda same prayer and the muslims were accusing that christians made up a new religion that resembles Islam to convert muslims while actually oriental orthodox christian already exist waaay before Prophet Mohammed born :imstupid: .

I just wish they were more open minded and more accepting to other teachings.

Yeah. He was indeed a douchey teacher. He repeatedly call me and my friends 'chink' (cinak) and talked about how islam was superior compared to other religion especially christianity  :donthinkso: .

As an Indonesian, and a muslim myself. I was pretty much feel saddened that you used too many generalizations of muslims from your circle in your posts, i know you don't mean any harm but your post could be actually very misleading. I come from Southeast Sulawesi and currently persuing college in Yogyakarta. I was quite surprised to hear a lot of dissapointing stories that you share, and im quite surprised because you described muslims in your area (which is Palembang) to be like super 'sacred' community, like i have no idea that Palembang's muslim could be that kind of community, but im not trying to generalize them. The number of Catholic believer in Indonesia, is lower compared to Christian (and of course muslims) so i kinda get on how you feels to be a minority. But honestly, what those people do to you or to other people, i haven't experienced it or sharing the same views of them. Like seriously, all my muslims friends have no such toughts on shaming other people's religion or forcing them to convert their religion. Nah. That's not our thing. Comparing to years ago, Indonesia have generally improved so much on the classic fights of religion and tolerancy (or so i tought) im not trying to be ignorant and im not trying to generalize people into 'all are good'  and not acknowledging bad things. some muslims are incredibly conservative and ignorant, some muslims are very rude but a lot of them are not the kind of people you described with, some christians are incredibly conservative and also ignorant, some christians are very rude, but a lot of them are happy and tolerant people, some catholic are very conservative and ignorant, some catholics are very rude but a lot of them are people that i love to hang out the most. It happens, not every believer of a religion is good people, some are just rude or riddiculus.

But seriously i do believe that comparing to other muslims majority country, generally we are a lot more tolerant and less conservative than other country. But i never even hear about the moon thing or the mecca thing, like seriously i haven't even ever heared of it or even ever think about it.
